Have done both suggestions, still not working. Could it have somehting to do with my local network? I am using a wireless Internet provided by my apartment building so not sure if apple tv and my computer are not technically on the same "local network?"
apple tv and main computer are connecting to Internet fine. Just cannot see my itunes on apple tv.
any other advice? My itunes is turned on to home sharing. i entered the same apple itunes account into aple tv. but appletv keeps saying my computer's home sharing is not turned on...but it is.

I think this is possibly linear. Select 'normal' in HB, iTunes accepts it; select 'high quality' in HB iTunes doesn't. I can't say why; I don't have any video that anywhere approaches 3GB in size. If that's how iTunes behaves I don't see you have too many options. You either select normal and it works, or you select HQ and live with playing the movie outside of iTunes.
I won't ask what movie because any help with illegally ripped copy protected DVDs is strictly prohibited by the Terms of Use so I'm assuming this is a 6 hour video of your puppy playing on the floor. -

Issue with new laptop-worked for first time
I just bought a new ASUS laptop and followed the instructions from online about transferring my itunes library to the new laptop. I have 10.1.6 version on both computers. When I went to authorize this computer on my new laptop and signed in, I did see my library name under "shared" and all the songs were there. I then went on the old computer under File/Library/Export Library (so I could add my playlists to the laptop) and on the laptop did File/Library/Import Playlists. When I did that, most of my songs disappeared under my libary (shared). Initially before I exported/imported the libary, I had all 2395 songs on both computers. After exporting the playlists, I only have 59 songs on my new laptop. I completely unistalled itunes on the laptop and rebooted. Then I downloaded itunes on the laptop again and did the home sharing and authorize this computer but now I do not see a shared library at all on my laptop. I do not know what to do. Can someone please help me? Thank you very much.

Just bought a new Ipod Nano, 6th generation, was tryin to following directions on syncing, when I plug it in too my computer,
it doesnt give me any directions on syncing or connecting to my computer, can someone please help me??There should be an option (on the left hand side of your iTunes) for your iPod. Then when you click on it you will just need to setup and there will be an option to sync at the bottom right hand corner

Can I put my ipod on a computer that already has another ipod on it without doing any damage?
My ipod got the message "iTunes has deteced an ipod that appears to be corrupted......"
I did everything suggested and nothing helped. My ipod was working perfectly prior to my attaching it to the computer, which itunes didn't recognize.
I reset everything, the ipod is now empty, and still the computer won't recognize it.
Can I connect this to another computer that already has an ipod associated with it without causing any problems to the owner's ipod or the music libarary?
If that computer recognizes the ipod, then my problem lies in my computer and not the ipod.
ThanksIt should work because I have 2 iPods connected to my iTunes and everything syncs perfect most of the time and with no corrupted sign, maybe it's your computer. iTunes is'nt the best either so it may also be iTunes that has the problem.

When I connect (I have it set for Auto DHCP) the IP address that I get is a "bad" address - first 3 digits are 169. There is no router IP address on summary page. Any ideas?
169.***.***.** is a self-assigned IP address. The system does this when it cannot obtain a functioning IP address from the DHCP server. There can be myriad reasons, but the following Apple help page shows the way out.

help. tried for first time to use FaceTime with another iPhone user & call refused to connect. Call would dial, allow us to accept call, then error message "FaceTime failed" would appear & call disconnect. we are both on wi-fi networks, both phones have updated software & both enabled FaceTime with iTunes logged in. don't know what else to do to get FaceTime to connect. Someone please help.
Thanks Helen for the response. At least you can get some of the contacts to work. Absolutely none of mine will. Feel like my phone is cheating me out something it should do. Think I'm going to just have to dump all the Apple products in general because this phone hasn't worked right since I got it.

I am having trouble uploading anAperture photographic book to Apple. The first time I tried “Buy Book” theorder proceeded normally but when it came to uploading the book to Apple it"uploaded" for six hours without going through so I aborted theattempt and cancelled the order.
The second time I tried the samething happened so after nine hours I found that the "Quit Aperture"button had greyed out so I had to Force Quit. I do not know if the order wascancelled but I do not think that the upload was successful.
What can I do about this problem?I also am not able to print a book. I have Aperture on two Mac, MacBook Pro (current) and a MacPro - both printed books prior to update 3.1.3 now all I get is the spinning ball then I have to Force Quit. I tried books I have ordered in the past (trying to print a new book) and they also failed. This is not a picture problem but a problem with 3.1.3 update. I would like to print some more books and give Apple some money but can't.
Any suggestions?

Yes, once the content is in iTunes on your computer, just click it to play and authorise your computer to play it by entering your Dad's ID and password.
Log into your own account and start purchasing your own content which will then be added to the existing content. -
i have set up my wifes ipad mini wirelesly, i am now connecting for first time to itunes it asks if i want to set up as new ipad or restore from previous backup (my iphone not ipad), i have backed ipad up to icloud when i connect back to itunes will it give me an option to restore from icloud, i dont want to lose the apps and data my wife has already installed through her account... any thoughts
