Just Installed Labview, it won't recognize previously loaded DAQmx

Just Installed LabView 7.0. Previously had Evaluation version working, even using DAQmx.
Now DAQmx is not recognized by Labview 7.0 (no DAQ assistant express VI at Functions>>Input palette).
Device Driver CD won't load because it's already there... Should I punt by removing all and reload or what?
SIDE NOTE:
Also tried to register this new S/W (purchased from NI last week) but web site (ni.com/register complains that this S/N is already registered... which is not likely as I opened the package myself)

Try running the Driver CD again to get the DAQmx support for LabVIEW 7.0. It is quite possible that when you uninstalled, eval copy, DAQmx support went away because you don't have LabVIEW anymore.
Now that you have LV 7.0, run the DAQmx installer to get the support files.

My Mac running OSX 10.7 was having issues, and so Apple Store did a OSX reisntall. I had CS3 and CS5 previously installed. After the OSX reinstallation, none of my Adobe products worked - they gave various errors and crashed after opening apps. I would like to run the CleanerTool to wipe all of CS3 and CS5 off my machine so I can do a fresh reinstall of CS5. Unfortunately when I try to run the CleanerTool downloaded from Adobe, it won't recognize either previous CS3 or CS5 installations. Do you still have access to old files? Some users who have used the migration assistant have reported success using the uninstallers and the CS Cleaner Tool to remove the installation. Since you have already tried these steps unsuccessfully the best option would be to format, reinstall, migrate over only your documents and settings, and then install from the installation media.
Adobe applications are only designed to be installed from the installation media as opposed to being copied from one computer to another.
If you don't have access to the old files then your only choice will be to attempt to troubleshoot the installation failure. You can try reviewing your installation logs to attempt to find a actionable error message. Time Machine Won't Recognize Previous BackUps transfered to new iMac

I just bought a new iMac and used the assistant wizard to transfer all the files from my previous Mac (a dual 2GHz G5). No problem. I have several external drives and one main (1TB) drive that I use as the TM backup drive.
When I went to make my first backup as a user of new iMac, TM is telling me there's not enough space to complete the process. What is happening is that TM is trying to backup my ENTIRE set of hard drives, thinking that, because I have a new iMac EVERYTHING is new and needs a top to bottom back up.
All my backups (which are performed hourly using TM) are still on the TM disk, when i went to look the file structure, this a folder named "Zephyr One" and another (the most recent failed backup) folder named "Zephyr One 2"
A few questions: I can't find where I can change the name "zephyr one" this used to the name of my main hard drive, but I changed that back to Macintosh HD, which is also the name of the drive on my iMac.
The biggest question: how do I get TM to recognize that it doesn't have to do a total backup as if this were the very first backup being done.

Zephyr One is the computer name not the drive name. That's what TM uses to name those folders. Computer name is changed in system preferences->sharing.

you can't. TM will make a full new backup on a new computer. there is no way around that. if you don't have enough space for that i suggest you either reformat the TM drive and start backups from scratch or use a different external drive for new backups.

I can't boot from the Install/restore CDs & won't recognize an external HD

I purchased a used Powerbook G4 with tiger 10.4.11 installed. I have two problems Which I think may be software based.
First I want to Install OS 9.2 to use some programs I had on my old Mac. However when holding down the C key the computer still boots off the HD. The disk I am using is marked Power Mac G4 Mac OS version 10.2, however the read me file said it should work for the powerbook.
Second I purchased a USB external HD for use as a back up and to store graphic and music files. The computer will not recognize it. every other USB device I have used has worked (printer, mouse, keyboards and flash drives).
Is this some sort of security feature? If so how do I reset it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would block usage of all the startup keys, like C, N, T, D, CMD+s, CMDOption+pr, CMD +v, Option, and Shift, as well as booting from anything but the Hard Drive.

iDevices are not backup devices.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

DVD Drive won't recognize previously burned CD-RWs

When sending files to our printer, I burn them to a CD-RW. When the discs come back and I insert them to erase and put my next job on, the computer will not recognize the CD. Does anyone know what happens to the disc once it leaves my office and what I can do to correct this problem?

Do you have the Optiarc 7170A? Your problem sounds exactly like mine, the question on which remained/remains unanswered (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=4478103#4478103).
My solution was to take out the Optiarc and put in my ex-machine's Pioneer DVR-111.
If anyone has any words of solace/wisdom on how to make the Optiarc work correctly with RWs, I'm sure BamaMan would like to hear, as would I.

Just installed CC - Apps won't launch after updating App Manager v7.0

I keep getting a couple different error messages after installing Creative Cloud for the first time.
I should mention that I accidentally uninstalled the Adobe Application Manager, but then updated to v7.0

Using explorer, navigate to \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and rename OOBE to OOBE_old.
Relaunch the browser.
Go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
Sign in with your Adobe ID and password and download the Creative Cloud Desktop Application.

Using explorer, navigate to \Program Files\Common Files\Adobe and rename OOBE to OOBE_old.

Have an old MBP. Just installed lion on it today. Previously, the computer had no password (at login, I would just hit enter so essentially the password was nothing). After installing Lion, that no longer works, and now I can't get into my computer. Help!

It's not uncommon for some people to have a "blank" password, I did that for years. Apparently Lion has a problem with blank passwords.

Just instaled FF. WON'T appear as Home Page when I click IE icon!

Had Fairpoint as home page here [NH- they're state phone/ internet provider]. Downloaded IE8 last night on my old pc w/XP. DON'T like pushy MS home page items. Switched to blank startup page, then switched here. Got download done; want Firefox to come up as Home Page but keep getting 'connectivity issue' warning. HELP! Please bear in mind: Am pc NON- guru! The most straightforward seems to be: hold Ctrl and Left-Click on the Reload button. You could also Middle-click on the Reload button (e.g. "click" with the mouse wheel, if you have a wheel-mouse.) The thread above also has some other options.
Edit: you could also hold Ctrl and drag a tab next to itself to clone it, another suggestion from the above thread.

If you have a Time Machine backup and know a date when iCal was working correctly, you can try restoring iCal's plist files in your user directory's Library/Preferences folder: com.apple.iCal.plist and com.apple.iCal.helper.plist. Many times, iCal issues can be solved by replacing the plist files.
Note: Changing plist files is a destructive process. That is, if you restore back to Sept. 2012, all appointment information you've entered since then will be gone. So, it's best to do your TM restores of these files in the smallest time increments possible.

"fatal execution engine" error when launching labview--I just installed it?

I just installed Labview (I still have the CD in my computer) but when I double click the icon to start the program it starts the splash screen, but then issues an "internal execution engine fatal error." The only option to enter is into the JIT debugger. I have XP/SP2 and I have uninstalled my C/C++ compiler and my Ada Compiler, but I am still receiving the error. I have uninstalled Labview twice and reinstalled it, but still the same. The disk that I am installing is labeled 7.1, so I went to the website and downloaded 7.1.1 and installed it but still the same error. I tried to install Labview barebones (without drivers, CVI, etc...) but this didn't fix my problem either. I am out of ideas.

I know Marni personally, and I'm sure she's done her homework on this one. Unfortunately with this being an issue specific to your PC, it does sound like it might be one of those issues that is unidentifiable and seemingly "incurable" without reformatting. However, I'll double check with Marni tomorrow to make sure we've exhausted all possibilities before having you reformat.
