Just installed Lion haven't received an external email for over 2 hours, anyone got any ideas
Anybody having email issues after upgrading to Lion. Haven't received an external email for over 2 hours which is really unusual.
Go to >system prefs>mail calander & contacts then just click accept on use the inbox.

Make sure the Firewall is turned off. You may need to click the gold lock icon to make changes.

I used to send photos from my Lumix Tz-40 camera directly to my iPad using the camera's WIFI. It was all working well until I installed IOS7. The connection no longer works. The camera still keeps the iPad in its connection history. The camera's wifi network still appears when I select a WiFi network from the iPad but the Wifi status icon never appears on the iPad. So the connection is never made.

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

I'm trying to update my apps using the creative cloud desktop app. I can't see any apps in the app tab, the wheel just spins round and round and nothing happens. Has anyone got any ideas? I've tried uninstalling the desktop app and reinstalling but it still has the same problem.

My computer sees the auto duplexer on my Epson Stylus PX720WD but iworks says it is not installed. I have contacted Epson and I have the impression that they don't know how to solve this problem. Anyone got any ideas?
If you print to PDF first, and then print it from Preview does it work?

I just noticed that when I talk on skype, my friends can not hear me as clear. I went to sound setting on the mac and noticed that my voice was getting picked up to good regardless of chaning the setting. Has anyone got any idea??
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Has any of this been tried?
It is possible that dropping the device has caused the issue.... regardless, it's unlikely Apple would do a warranty exchange since there is obvious user damage.
If basic troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, take it to an Apple store for evaluation... if determined to be a hardware issue and you ask nicely, they may be able to assist you, but they may also only provide the option of an Out of Warranty replacement. -
am using osx lion 10.7.2 on a mid 2010 macbook, and cannot empty my trash bin. it verifies files to delete and then quits. anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

First post I have just updated iPad to latest iOS and now I can't sync my music in iTunes form Mac which is running latest version it starts but stops straight away and gives no info I've tried with wifi off and on turned everything off and back on but nothing as any one got any idea please ?

Just installed Lion. Chesscube internet chess no longer works. Plug-in failure. Any suggestions.

The plug-in failure is likely shockwave flash. Your best bet would be to uninstall Adobe Flash completely, and re-install it.

Since installing OSX Lion, a few days ago, I am unable to move anything into my trash, or empty my trash. It comes up with either deleting or moving to trash, but never finishes the action.... any ideas?

I have used Mozilla for longer than INternet Explorer and think it's great. However, since installing Webroot Security Firefox has routinely started crashing. Not always in the same place or with certain sites, but randomly. I emailed Webroot who said it's not a problem they have encountered, but they issue reguar updates - blah blah.

After reviewing them this is indeed the result of a known Firefox bug which the Webroot Secure Browsing functionality is triggering but not the cause of:

Since there is currently no timeline provided by Mozilla as to when this bug will be addressed, Webroot is currently working on an alternate method to protect Firefox users which should eliminate the possibility of triggering this Firefox bug, and will provide this new functionality in an upcoming release.
In the interim those that encounter regular Firefox crashes with the Webroot Secure Browsing functionality enabled, and would prefer not to have this added malware protection for the time being, may disable the Webroot Secure Browsing feature in Firefox by going to Tools > Add-ons > and click the "Disable" button on the "Webroot malicious URL Filtering" extension.
An update to this post will be provided by Webroot when the new functionality Webroot is currently working on to prevent the possibility of such Firefox crashes going forward is deployed.
