Just installed logic studio and cant open logic window message displayed says version not compatible with mac OS X
You need to go to software update (apple logo/software update)
Let it update and youll be fine ^^

I updated Firefox this morning. As I use the Google toolbar on a regular basis for many different reasons, I was very upset to find it had disappeared. I went to Google apps to reinstall it, but found out that it is not compatible with this version of Firefox! Please, don't update software, if it is NOT going to work properly.

Im installing logic studio and its asking me for an original SN?
I put in my Product serial number then it asks me to put in my original serial number. I have no idea where that number is. No number Ive used has worked so far.
Did you buy an upgrade to Logic Studio? If so, you need to enter the old serial number first and then the application will ask you for the upgrade number. Also make sure you type it correctly 0 = Zero and O = Ohhh, etc.

I can't update my Pages'9 4.3 and its not compatible with newer versions???

I have had no problems with my Pages 4.3 which i installed a year ago, until the last month or 2. I have the app on my ipad but when i send pages docs from my ipad to my computer my computer tells me that i have an older version of pages and it wont open it, somethimes i can open but only view. I have Lion but cant pgrade my computer any further than that now since its an older machine now. So how can i work this on both? and why can i down load an application las year for it to be soo out of date that it doesnt function properly now?? realy fed up with appl about this, its causing me massive probems with my course work. I'm obviously now going to buy a whole new mac book to use pages. Any add ons or patches available for this combatibiluty issue? or anyone else have this problem?IT could be that your iPad had upgraded to newer Pages or it can be that iCloud has. How can I get firefox in my application folder? I lost it while trying to upgrade to firefox 4? I don't it in my dock. My computer is Mac 10.4 older one. Can you help me?

My operating system is OS X (version 10.6.8) and I have a Mac Mini.
Trust me when I say this coming from 20 years of experience.
Get a powered external drive, format it 1 Partition Option: GUID and OS X Extended Journed as the format in Disk Utility.
Download and install Carbon Copy Cloner, clone internal drive to external drive.
Set a schedule to remind you to do it at least once a week, keep it near your charger.
When you plug your charger in, do plug the clone and power the machine up, set the display to sleep only,
CCC will do the rest.
If you want to boot from it, hold the option/alt and select it Startup Manager.
I've seen many TimeMachine and TimeCapsule nightmares and so far haven't seen a problem from anyone using a bootable clone.
It's simple, it's easy, it's more reliable and more powerful than what Apple does and it only takes plugging in a extra cable.
Make as many clones as you want, keep them time seperated, off site etc. etc.
Cables don't have network issues, clones can be verified in seconds merely by booting from them.
Clones protect your productivity, your up in seconds on a clone despite even the hard drive dying.
Software problem? No sweat, boot of the clone and reverse clone your problems away.
If you want to fuss and muss with half implemented TimeMachine and TimeCapsule network headaches then prepare to suffer.
I don't like to suffer, I bought a Mac not to suffer, but it appears you do with TimeMachine and TimeCapsule.

What year, screen size, CPU speed and amount of RAM installed in your iMac?
If your iMac is not a mid-2007 iMac model or newer, you can't install OS X 10,8 Mountain Lion.
Tthe highest OS X version that can be installed is OS X 10.7 Lion.
You need to call Apple at 1-800-MYAPPLE ask for retail software sales and tell them you want to install OS X 10,7 Lion onto your iMac. They will give you a special download code to access the OS X 10.7 Lion download from the Mac App Store.

Thank you very much for your answer! I have 2 Apple ID, and I have tried both of them and the problem continues. I founf several peolpe with the same problem in apple communities foruns and that really seems that there is some problem. I addded the links for 2 of those discussions.

I just purchased harry potter and the deathly hallows digital copy but i just synced my ipod and its not there. i went back to get the copy again and its says the code can only be used once. Just like the title says: MD5 checksum seems to be changing when renaming files in Bridge Is this normal? Is there anyway to disable this? Checksums do not seem to change when renaming a file outside of Bridge (ie; in Windows Explorer or Mac Finder).
