Just installed WIN 7 on SSD. How can I get original Bookmarks into New Configuration?

After 1 year with Win 7 on my desktop I have purchased an SSD. I have reinstalled WIN 7 but cannot retrieve favourites from my old firefox (HDD still available). Is it possible to retrieve the favourites or is it possible to export favourites from my laptop to my desktop?

Firefox 3 and later no longer use bookmarks.html to store the bookmarks. 
You can restore the bookmarks from the most recent JSON back in the bookmarkbackups folder or copy places.sqlite to the current Firefox profile. Both methods will replace the current bookmarks with the new bookmarks, so I you need to preserve existing bookmarks then export them to an HTML file and import that file afterward.

You can remove the Bookmarks Menu button on the Bookmarks Toolbar with code in userChrome.css

Firefox is highly customizable. For example you can make it look and behave more like Firefox 3.6 as shown here - http://redherring2.wordpress.com/2011/01/17/firefox-4-restoring-firefox-3-ui
Is there anything in particular you don't like, somebody may be able to help you customize Firefox 4 to meet your needs.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6.* you can uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Is that hard drive usable at all? Like as an external disk in a USB hard drive enclosure?
If so, you can recover your Firefox data from that drive.

Are you sure it's not 6.1.6? If it is, that is the latest iOS version that will work on a 4th generation iPod Touch. Later versions require a 5G iPod which has twice as much RAM.

I have tried several tips (safe mode, single user ...) without success. when I attemp to boot on CD1 while pressing C key to try a repair, the computer won't boot (broken apple displays on my screen). After many actions to sort the issue out, I would like to reinstall my Macbook 2006 but I discovered that my mac os install CD1 is scratched, how can I get another CD?

I am not sure why you can boot into diagnostic OK but not install from the cd. I think it is a dvd not cd. You sure you have the correct cd/dvd?
You can boot in startup manager on your machine by holding down the option key when you poweron. This will give you a little more info. Click on what you want to boot the click on the right arrow.

When you say you can't load does that mean Captivate does not launch?
Try launching the application as 'Administrator' and check.
You might also want to check by launching it in 'compatibility mode' and see.
In case you still face issues, try resetting Captivate preferences and then check by launching the application.
To reset the preferences, please follow the steps below :
Close Adobe Captivate.
Locate the preference folder:
Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7 folder
Rename the Captivate folder.
Restart Adobe Captivate. A new folder is automatically created.

It sounds like the resolution changes when you start the game. You should check the video settings. I checked the Mahjong game (Win 8.1) on my computer and there is no way to set the resolution in the Options.
