Just installed windows xp

I have just installed windows xp using boot camp and i cannot figure out how to get back to the mac os. several things i read on here said there should be a bootcamp button and there is not. what have i done wrong?

You have to insert your Mac OS DVD while in Windows and run Apple Setup.

It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly.

If your Mac is off then start up. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the Option key until the Mac and Windows Disks show up. Then click on the Mac disk and the arrow below it. After it boots up in Mac then go to System Preferences>Startup Disk and select your Mac partition as the Startup disk.
If you are in Windows then look for the Boot Camp icon on the taskbar. It will look like a gray box sitting on one corner. One of the options when you click it is to restart in Mac OS. After it boots up in Mac then go to System Preferences>Startup Disk and select your Mac partition as the Startup disk.

Hey, I haven't experienced any problems with flash player square yet. Is it to "experimental" for the official repos? I've tested many flash sites and have yet to crash the browser. I think most users will not mind it in the official repos.

Just installed windows 7 Ultimate using Boot Camp. Problem is when I choose to boot the windows partition, I get the windows icon on the screen showing that it is starting, but few second after, I get a blank screen. I suspect a driver (screen) issue, since I also installed Parallell using the boot camp partition and that works fine.
Do anybody out there has an ideal of what to do to solve this issue.

Yes, just turn off secureboot in the BIOS. Windows 7 will not boot on a new windows 8 machine that has secureboot on.

Just installed windows using bootcamp..... Explorer works but safari doesnt

Like it says i just installed windows using bootcamp. I booted into mac and airport is connected to my wireless signal but when i open safari it says im not connected.. i ran diagnostics but it said it could fix the problem and to contact my provider... however i decided to check and boot into windows and lo and behold i have a fast active internet connection through the wireless signal... what the heck is going on ?

also the mac wireless has worked on every other wireless network ( my school , my home) but it wont work at my office even thought the windows side will connect wirelessly... what gives?

I just installed Windows 10 Pro and can't access my touchpad settings to get the scolling feature back. A short while ago, when I connected my basic Microsoft mouse, the system did install a new driver for the mouse - could this be the problem? Or is it Windows 10? Thanks for any help you can give. I had the same problem. The settings would crash. The synaptics driver update fixed that for me. However after adjusting some settings a new problem emerged. Three Finger Gestures have changed from the default Windows 10 ones to the old Synaptics gestures. There doesn't seem to be a way to change it back. I think the Synaptics driver needs another update.

Just installed Windows 7 64 bit on a PC Encore will not come up

I have a Dell computer quad core with Vista home premium 32 bit.   I have been running Premiere Pro and Encore successfully and have made some great videos.
I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit. Premiere Pro runs fine but Encore will not come up. When the program gets to initialize transcoding it freezes and when I take a look at what is happening I see Encore is not responding. I have a hard time trying to end the program. I have run it as administrator and have started Windows with no start up programs.   Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

You're very welcome.
Windows 7 is a great operating system, and normally the drivers it installs are fine. But the generic drivers that are loaded don't always cover everything, such as what you experienced with your mike not working, but the speakers did.
I once had a similar issue...I installed Windows 7 on a HP dc7600, and the audio worked fine out of my plugged in speakers, but it did not work out of the built in PC speaker. I was at a loss to figure out why. I knew the speaker had worked in XP, so I knew it wasn't broken.
On a hunch, I went to the Realtek website and downloaded the newest audio drivers for Windows 7, and voila, my internal PC speaker worked fine.

Hi Thank you, the apple mobile service links did not work, i had tried them all. however that same link with the previous versions worked. I had to download the one below and I can at least use itunes.
