Just lost hours of edits from accidentally hitting CMD W?!?!?!
I've been working on a project for 8+ hours and I accidentally hit CMD W instead of CMD S to save....all the edits in the timeline disappeared and I could not CTRL Z it back...so am I screwed because of a simple mistake or can I get my timeline back??? Please help.
Go to your Project Panel and double click your sequence to reopen in in the Timeline. Cmd-W is the shortcut to close a panel. When you attempt to close the project, Premiere will always ask you to save (if not already saved) before it closes.

If you have no backups, and data has been lost, then it's lost forever. The rest of your data will inevitably follow if you don't back up.

Do either of the pictures show in Elements Organizer? If so what happens if you click on the folder location in the file information tab?
When open in the Editor, what shows under File> File Info.
I'm strictly a Windows user, but it is quite common for their to be multiple 'Pictures Folder' - check them all out.
Is this a catalog upgraded from an earlier version? There is a known bug where edited pictures are not correctly saved in version sets and added to the Organiser. There are workarounds (the simplest being to disable, by renaming, the Elements Auto Analyzer file.

Just lost over 500 mails from E61 Blackberry folde...
Hi all
My first post here. I was looking around earlier and discovered that my Blackberry version was 6.18 and there was a newer 6.28, so I downloaded the newer version. I also downloaded the desktop manager to sync my phone with my pc.
When I ran the desktop manager it appears its for BES only. My blackberry is internet based with O2 in Ireland, so I couldnt use it.
I then decided that before I install 6.28 of BB Connect, I should do a backup as I could not use Desktop Manager, so I did a full backup to my SD card and ALSO did a full backup to pc.
I then installed the new BB Connect and when I started I had no mails and had to send service books again. I then got these through and still njothing, so I did an SD card restore and restarted phone. Still nothing!!!! Then I did a PC Suite restore and restart and still nothing!!!!!!!!!!!
Help! I had over 500 mails there from the last 4 weeks and all are gone.
A. Is there any way I can get them back?
B. Can I sync them with my PC in future to stop this happening?I would agree... you'd think the restore would take some amount of time.
If the emails are more important to you than anything else on your phone right now, you might consider trying to reset your phone... and hope that the restore can run successfully then. But i'm not all that hopeful that it will work.

I want to take remote access from an iTunes library off of my iPad ...when I hit edit from the remote app it pulls that library up ..if I delete it I just want to make sure that I'm not remotely wiping out the library, just access to it from my iPad ?
Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.

"Edit Menu in Photoshop" - just lost 2hrs of work
Well, I clicked the "Edit Menu in Photoshop" option in Encore CS3 and reluctantly went to work on my menu in Photoshop since Encore doesn't have the basics of menu design options.
I saved my menu constantly in Photoshop, but didn't think to save it under a different filename since I figured it would save *something* to the hard disk anyway for me to find later.
I switched back to Encore and since nothing had changed there, I closed the project and thought re-opening might show me my updated menu. I was wrong.
I just lost two hours of work. I tried to open the "recently opened" file, but no, it was some sort of temp file that doesn't exist anymore.
Anyone have an idea of how to get this back? And how am I supposed to update my Encore menu so that it shows the Photoshop modifications?

First thing that I'd do is Open PS, then File>Open Recent. You should see the TMP Menu file in that list, as it Opened from Encore. Open it, and see what state it is in. Ideally, it should be up to date, from when you did the Save.
As Joe points out, the TMP file is created by Encore, then Opened in PS. Save (or Ctrl-s) should save this file and link it back to Encore. In CS2, I encountered some problems (as did others), where hitting Save (and/or Ctrl-s) did NOT update in Encore. Remember, this was in CS2. The workaround for me was to Save several times (sounds like you did that). I'd usually have my Layer Sets open, and Ctrl-s, close the Layer Sets and Ctrl-s. Though it was a few added keystrokes and not the perfect workflow, it always worked for me. A few times, it took a moment for Encore to finally update to the revised file.
I assumed that this was a little glitch between PS and Encore2 in CS2. It also did not happen THAT often, but enough, that the multiple Ctrl-s became a habit of mine.
I never saw anyone, who could this this malfunction 100% of the time. I also did not find any commonality between systems (either HW, or SW conflicts) to indicate that some component was causing this. I also could not find much in MY workflow to suggest why some Menus did this. Most often they were variations of Library Menu Assets. I did notice that I had more of these glitches when working from a "template" Project, that only had AV Assets changed (Save_As Projects from the original "template.) and then the Menus changed to match the new Assets. Notice that I put "template" in quotation marks so one will not confuse Template with "template" in Encore. In my case, 95% of the Menus did just what they should going to/from PS out of Encore2. There were those pesky 5%, however that things did not go, as designed.
I would have assumed that CS3 had gotten around whatever was causing this, but as it was not 100% repeatable, maybe not.
When I'd go the "normal" Save route, and it would not "take," Opening the TMP (Files>Open Recent) always got me back in PS. Multiple Ctrl-s always did the trick. Seems that 3 was the magic number, when it was not working, as it should.
If you do a Save_As, you will have to Import_As Menu into Encore and then probably want to Delete your "other" Menu.

I allow my grandchildren to play free games on my ipad and iphone that I download for them. Is there a way to prevent them from accidentally (or otherwise) purchasing upgrades? My 6 yr old just did so and has no idea how she did it. Is there a setting that would prevent this from happening?

I just got my replacement phone from Warranty. The phone was on for just 2 hours and it crashed. I was told that motorola knows about this "possible" issue. I got a new sim, hard reset, If it can be done I did it. They are now sending me the same phone again. Number 3. I would hope this one doesn't crash but I rather have a different phone so I can enjoy using my account. The phone's most recent error was today. " Unfortunately, the process com.motorola.widget.circlewidget3d" has stopped. At least the error message works and it's polite. I told tech this and they could not answer my question or help me other then "let's do a hard reset" My warranty replacement is coming on Monday. Let's hope this one works. Anyone else havinbg the same problem. it says "such and such as stop working" on all sorts of stuff! Help! I want my iPhone Back!
I just did a google search on this issue. OMG, I got a ton of videos on this or similar issues. Each one says in some way to clear the cache, reset the data, etc. Why in the world would this continue to happen and they not do a fix that resloves this without having to lose or stop what your doing. This is a very long and constant issue it seems with Android phones as there must have been pages and pages of what I now call "Unfortunately" So I am going to pray that Verizon helps me out and gets me away from this issue and helps me go back to iPhone or try the Samsung.

I just bought a new iPhone and accidentally backed it up with my old iPhone backup, I do not want this. I lost everything on my new phone and I need it back. PLEASE HELP! This includes pictures and texts, etc.
So just to be clear, when you say "just bought" how long ago was that? Is it on this new iPhone that you had pictures, texts, etc that you want? Were you backing up to iCloud or onto iTunes?
This may not help for everything but if you go to iCloud.com and log in, are you able to find your pictures there? -
I have just transferred my iTunes library from a hard drive previously connected to a windows laptop to a MacBook Pro and now all my options for editing info are greyed out. I have seen the answers if still using windows but could find a similar situation to this one.

you'd have to point +iTunes media folder location+ back to the external via preferences > advanced > iTunes media folder location, then file > library, organize library > consolidate files
and essentially, to have it easily readable on both machines?
in that case it might be best to copy the entire iTunes folder to the external. then, on each machine, launch iTunes while pressing option on your keyboard. when prompted, click on +choose library+ and navigate to the iTunes folder on the external.
note only one iTunes can access the iTunes library @ a time !
also, make sure the external is mounted on either machine before launching iTunes.

i connected my iphone 5 to my computer for the first time since i got it and it didnt give me any option and just started to restore it from my iphone 4s. ive now lost all my pictures that were on it. Is there a way i can get them back as i did not want it to restore my old phone anyway! i also had my hone set up to the cloud and it didnt work! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME
Can you try to use another computer?
If this does not work, visit an Apple Store or an Authorized Apple Service Provider next to your place, and show them the phone, maybe they can restore it before you'll have to get it serviced.
