Just as it says above. How do I remove access to their computer? And can I make sure they can't get into mine?
That is because all computers will show in the Shared section that are on the same local area network, the same lan. So you and he share a internet connection and are connected to that internet connection by the same router.
No he can't get to your mac unless he knows the exact user name and password for that user name on your mac.
Does he know that information?
There is no way to remove that entry in the shared section of finder except to uncheck the Shared section of the finder preferences in the sidebar area.

On the recipient's device, the "name" displayed for the sender is based on the information for the email address (or email address) you used to send the Message in the recipients Contact app.

Safari is showing everything greyed out and locked, how do I change that?
I'm having a problem where Safari periodically locks and greys the screen. It wil continue to update / refresh but I can't inter act with it. The onjly way I've been ab l to clear this is to reset my ipad. Obviously dont want to keep doing that all the time. Top of screen shows a closed padlock. Not sure why or how it got there. Ideas??
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
The padlock symbol means that you've got rotation lock on. Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (rotation lock or mute notifications), then you can lock the rotation by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The small icons for weather just appeared. I used to have a weather for San Francisco box on the main opening page for Google, but everything I had there simply disappeared one day. These small weather icons appeared at the upper right . They are for New York.
I would klike to change them to San Francisco, but actually I would like to GET BACK what I had before. No idea why it disappeared.Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

That's the problem. A WiFi-only iPad uses a database of router locations to determine location. Unfortunately, the mechanics behind this database are a tightly-held secret. Your location may change to the correct one within a week or two or it may take as long as a year! (I'm not kidding.) Incidentally, it will help if you're within range of other routers. Doesn't matter if you pass data through them and also doesn't matter if they're locked. The only requirement is "within range."
By the way, you will find that, if you take your iPad away from your house, it will report your location more accurately. -
I changed my Apple ID email address yesterday and now my IPhone 4 and my IPod 5 will not allow me to upload any apps. When it asks for my Apple Password it still shows my old email address. How do I change the IPhone and IPod to recognize the new email address????

I changed my Apple ID but on my iPhone 4S w/ iOS 7.0.4, when I go into settings > iCloud it still shows the old Apple ID. How do I change this? I was going to delete the iCloud account from my phone then add it back with the new Apple ID, but I'm not sure...help!

The app store on my laptop is asking for my husband's apple id and password to update my apps, but he is not a user on my computer. How do I change that? The apple id email is grayed out, so I cannot select it.

Open Messages. Then go to the Menu and click on Messages. In the drop down select Preferences. Choose the accounts tab. If you have already added your iCloud account then remove it and add it again.

Open Settings -> Store
Tap on the Apple ID shown and sign out. Then sign in with your own Apple ID.

My iPhone has the correct Apple ID for everything BUT iCloud. How do I change that. Going through Settings shows the incorrect ID but it does not allow change.

Whilst upgrading to V 7 of RoboForm - this means having to pay for Upgrade. This is because despite an assurance that when I paid the orginal fee - with a Lifetime of future updates would be free - they i.e. Roboform lied! You now have to pay to upgrade.
However the problem is not with Roboform but Firefox - I used to think it was great but now it is rubbish! Upgraded to V6 - All my previous Addons disabled & I can't get RoboForm toolbar re-installed. So I will start using IE from now on - it is really pathetic!! -
