Just paid $55.00 to get e-mail fixed after IOS download , how to get money back from Apple?

After IOS download 2weeks ago, I could not send any mail. Do not have warranty, it is 13 months old.  I paid a computer expert $55.00 to fix it.  I think Apple should give me an ITunes card worth that amount.  what do you think?

I think you are responsible for the $55. It was your choice to pay someone. A software glitch is NOT covered by any warranty, period.

There are no refunds. Why would you buy the same thing twice?
You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception.

  • Macbook Pro not working right after getting it back from Apple Store

I had to bring my last generation Macbook Pro into the Apple store to have a faulty optic drive and logic board replaced. I just got home and the date in the preferences was set to 2001 and it will not connect to my network, even though I am typing this on another Mac using the same connection. It does see it, it just shows a message with an exclamation mark in the Airport area saying no internet connection.
Any ideas of what I may need to do? Are both of these a sign that they may have messed something up? I did reboot it after getting it back.
    Thanks.

Just bring it back. Have them check it out and demonstrate that it's working properly.

The general rule is that all sales are final.   Having said that, if you can show that the app in question has somehow caused problems for your machine (as opposed to you causing the problems by not utilising it properly, a refund may be possible.  Contacting the developer is the first port of call.

  • Mauled by Lion: all my MS Office apps now UNUSEABLE. Can I get my money back from Apple, who didn't bother telling me before I purchased?

HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?

    Hello:
From your post, you must be using Office 2004 (I was) and the version is only supported under OS X 10.6 and earlier.  The reason is that Rosetta is not included in OS X 10.7.  Out of curiosity, why do you blame Apple for the fact that a seven year old MICROSOFT software release does not work on Apple's new operating system?  Microsoft's later releases (Office 2008 and 2011) do run, I understand, under OS X 10.7.  I decided to not buy the pricey software and am using Apple's iWork instead.

  • No audio in quicktime after getting MacBook back from Apple Store

Since getting my MacBook back from the shop (they claim it was a mechanical HD failure but it seems more likely the crash was caused by the 10.4.11 update), Quicktime movies play with video, but no sound. I've tried going into the MIDI Audio utility, but all I see is "Audio output not supported." The text is grey and I can't do anything.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Take your computer back to the Apple Store so that your computer can be fixed properly.

  • Where do I go to get my money back from Apple Itunes for not giving me the movie I rented?

I ordered a 24 hour rental from Itunes and it refuses to play. I accidentally deleted the movie from the rental after getting completely frustrated and thought I could re-download the rental but now Apple Itunes is asking me to pay 4 dollars again.... This is ridiculous.

  • TS1702 How to return or get money back for paid app?

I have some problem with paid app. How could I return or get money back from App store?

The Terms of Sale for the iTunes store state that all sales are final. You don't mention why in your question, but you can contact iTunes support and state your reasons for a refund.

  • Macbook repaired, but should I get money back?

I recently turned my Macbook over to my local store to fix a backlight problem. I was quoted £95 to replace the 'Board, Inverter' but when I collected it it was only £66 so was grateful. However, replacing this part did not fix the problem in any way so back I went to Apple. This time they replaced the "Cable, Inverter" and I have it back now and it seems fixed. Now, I am under the impression that this cable did not cost as much as the part that was needlessly replaced, so should I demand some money back from Apple?
    Regards

Unfortunately, that's the way that "out of warranty" repairs work. They will try what they can to repair the problem... but for difficult to diagnose problems... they may not always get it on the first try. They provided the service (labor) and part, so there isn't any reason for them to be out that expense. That's one of the problems that getting an extended warranty can help to avoid (at least during the warranty period). That's pretty much the case with any type of repair. If you bring a car in for service and they do what they can... and it is not clear that the problem still exists after the service (this is especially common for intermittent problems)... you will generally not be refunded the cost of the service that was performed.
Having said that... there certainly is no harm in contacting Apple to discuss it with them. There's just no way for anyone here to let you know how they will respond.

  • QUESTION - I have just purchased a mac and get my contacts from my iphone 4 onto iCloud.  In settings groups all my contacts fall under hotmail. HELP

I have just purchased a mac and get my contacts from my iphone 4 onto iCloud.  In settings>groups>all my contacts fall under hotmail. HELPQuestion

Do you have iCloud configured on the iPhone and on the MacBook Air? If not, you'll want to do that for seamless transferring of contacts between the two devices. If you have an iCloud account already, set it up on the phone first. If you do not have an iCloud account I'd recommend signing up for one on the computer first as it's easier to navigate the setup screens. Once iCloud is setup on both machines the contacts will automatically sync (faster if the iPhone is on wireless).
Regarding email, you'll need to ensure the email on the iPhone is configured for IMAP/Exchange. You'll then want to configure that same account in Apple Mail (or whatever email program you intend to use on the MacBook Air).
