I thought I had a defected newly purchased keyboard. I pulled out my older wireless keyboard, and the same thing happened. It must not be the keyboard if it happened to two different keyboards. I have a habit of restarting my computer, when things don't work, I find it helps, and sure enough, everything works. Today, it happened again. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen?

Not able to use the Tab key to Tab indent when within a text edit window...
Two questions please... First one is above for the tab function. In Safari I just need to press control+option+tab to indent a tab within a text edit box on a website. This function is being used more via cloud and mobile capability.
Second... I can, in Safari, Copy and paste a site with tables. Works great in Safari. When I try to do this in FF I lose the formatting of the tables and it just give plain text without the tabled fields.
I would love to use FF because the compatibility if much greater than Safari, but... I need my functionality as well to do my work to the best and quickest ability.

Up until last week, I was able to use the tab key when typing emails and other multi-line text boxes.
Suddenly the behavior of the tab key changed. This isn't the first time. It's been quite a while ago that the function of the tab key changed from indenting to moving around the page, then after some time it changed back to indenting.
Can we get this fixed and leave it alone, please?
I may give one of those add-ins a try, but my problem with add-ins is that they break when FF is patched or upgraded, then I'm left with out the solution they provide.
Can we just fix Firefox, please?

P.S. Another potential fix I came across suggested starting FF in safe mode to see if the problem goes away. It does not. It seems to be a change to FF that appeared after an update last week. On or just befor 24 Apr. -

Well, everything that you have bought with her Apple ID prior to getting your own Apple ID is forever hers. Apple will not transfer content from one ID to another. But in the case of the Mac, contact iTunes Customer Service and request that they send your issue to the Account Security Team and ask that the Mac be released form your mother's account so you may register it with your account. Then you can accept the iLife apps into your account for any future updates.

I just purchased GarageBand 10.0.3 last week and I repeatedly keep getting the following message when I try to download ANY of the FREE Piano lessons in the "Lesson Store", "Garageband was not able to install the new sounds. Close and re-open Garageband to download and install them again." I have tried EVERY suggestion that I have come across on the internet and nothing is working! If I'd known I would encounter this issue, I would not have paid for this. Tried restarting, rebooting, reinstalling, deleting the cache, and on the verge of just reinstalling the OS. Hint, hint, I had just upgraded OX when the problem started. So... I qualified for tech support. I forgot to get my none working since the up grade Photoshop fixed. Some Java component can't be found and just like GB, the link to Apple for support does not work. I have the good old PS disc. I'm not happy with this cloud stuff.
When you call and give the SN for your computer, they may say it will cost $29.00 dollars for one time support. Instead choose a different prompt, tell the human being what your problem is and set up a visit to the Apple store. BTW, no one at the store seemed to have heard of this issue.
The techie just started the download and ran the activity monitor. The download stopped once. Then he continued it and everything is there now.

I have a iphone 4 which was purchased in the UK 2 yrs back. I use this phone in india. Since today morning the screen has become unresponsive and i am not able to use the slider to unlock the screen to be able to make or recieve calls or perform any other fuction on my phone. I spoke to apple customer care in india about this problem and they suggested to try restoring the phone which didnt work out. Now they say that I will have to get this repaired in the UK since apple doesnt have apple stores and service centers in India. I think it is some hardware issue. I am not in a position to send it back to UK since i dont have any friends or relatives there in the UK nor i am traveling to the UK at this point in time. Pls help me out and suggest how can i get my phone replaced in India.

Not really sur easy you would be having that problem. Mine works. You might try RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost). Then try again and see if it makes a difference -
Is anybody else still not able to use the App Store? I can't download nor update any apps. I have an IPhone 5 device not currently updated to iOS 7 as my partner also has an iPhone 5 running iOS 7 and it seems to have some issues at the moment.

I am not able to use the ftp export in Muse. When I enter my host, name and password, I get a long interlude of rainbow wheel and finally the message that my ftp host cannot be found. I have verified the name and that it is port 21. I can export to html and use another ftp client to upload (to the same server) but this is tedious and making minor changes is painful. It should be in Settings > General > Network > Personal Hotspot - if it's not there then have you checked with your carrier to see if they support it on the iPad (and even if they support it on the iPhone they don't necessarily also support it on the iPad) ? It may also be an extra fee/subscription from them, and you could check if there is a carrier update.
