Just purchased an IPod for my daughter and it's displaying my name when she texts

I just purchased an IPod for my daughter. I added it to my Itunes account and when she text's or Facetimes it comes up with my name. How can I get it to come up with her name?

It seems you have to make sure that email address is added to the Contacts app and her name associated with the address for that contact.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.

You will probably need to create an apple Id for you grandson, so you can call that ID instead of yours.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- Try another cable
- Try on another computer

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.
