Just purchased ipod touch 4 and facetime, internet, and app store have all disappeared off the screen. Any ideas?

In addition I cannot pull them up by using the search button, they seem to be completely gone from the ipod. Purchased less than one week ago and have only downloaded two apps.

Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if the Restrictions that hides those apps are set. If so, unset them.

Yes it will work fine in Egypt. it might even be better since an Egyptian iPod might not have FaceTime.

I just bought this for my son and neither Messages nor App Store apps were there. I just updated to 5.0.1 and, after working for about 30 mins last night "organizing" apps on specific pages for my son, the apps are now where Apple/iTunes wants to put it. The Message app is now there, but not the App Store one. Any ideas?

Try going to the main Home Screen and swiping left to right to start the Spotlight feature. Type "App Store" into the search box and it should come up.
If it's missing, you may have accidentally enabled Parental Controls. To turn those off, go to Settings > General > Restrictions and turn them off.

Ipod touch that cant get to app store!

First I want to thank everyone who helped me last week with the restrictions passcode ordeal. Now I have a new prob.....both of my boys' ipods wont let us get on to the app store. I turn on the wifi then hit the icon of the app store and it tells me that it cannot connect to iTunes Store. This is the way we have done it for over a year. Can anyone help me with this problem please?

Which Aperture version are you using, and which MacOS X version?
What do you mean by "wedding 2013file"? Is that an Aperture library, or are you creating a book, that is now missing?
What happened between the last time you saw the wedding photos and now? Did you install new software? Upgrade software? Did Aperture crash? Did you move the Aperture library to a new location?

Iphone 4s and ipod touch when we go into apps store and click on a app whether free or paid it will not register it does nothing.

We have recently purchased 2 iphone 4s and 2 ipod touches they are all on my Apple id and were all going well the kids were able to download new games etc until yesterday. Now we go into apps store go into top 25 free games come up then we click on a game when we try to click on the blue free tag it does nothing that happens on all devices and for all things we try to get. I just got my mac air and i'm trying to do homeworl, but it's saying I need the adobe flash player plug in...I went to the website it took me to and downloaded it but no good. still can't do the hw. any ideas??

If you have already downloaded it, have you installed it yet? I know the most recent Flash plug-in isn't optimized for Chrome, but Safari works just fine with it. There should be an arrow pointing down in your upper right hand corner of the screen. If you tap on that, it will list your downloads. Tap on the Flash download and you should be able to follow the prompts to install the plug-in.

I've only ever bought one app from the apps store and I can't remember if you have to enter a password to buy apps. Is it possible for the person who has it to buy apps using my account on the ipod?

Yu need to enter you iTunes password to buy apps. If you purchase more apps within ten minute or so after entering your password you will not have to enter it again (your password is still valid for ten minutes). However, you should still change the password for all accounts used on the iPod.

IPod Touch built-in smart playlists (Top 25,etc.) disappeared off of it although it's still on iTunes

I synced my ipod the day before, and everything was still intact. Today, I synced it again for more music, and it suddenly removed my smart playlists off my ipod touch. Right click on the playlists in question on your PC. Click 'duplicate' and it will create a new folder ie. recently added # 1. Sync and the new playlist should appear. Not ideal I know but at least you get your playlist back.

Yes. If you want to do it yourself, there are several retailers who offer replacement parts and step-by-step guides on how to swap out the display. One such place is http://www.ifixit.com/.
You can also choose to do an out of warranty exchange with Apple for the prices show on this page. They don't actually repair the iPod though, but instead swap out your iPod for a refurbished one of the same capacity and generation.

My yahoo e-mail folders have all disappeared except the inbox and trash.

I had a full list of folders in each of my yahoo accounts. They've all disappeared and I can't figure out how to get them back. I've already tried the procedures below:
1. I've right clicked on the account already and there is no "subscribe" button.
2. I went to the menu and clicked on "view" and "folders" and "all" was already checked.
3. I went to the settings and clicked on "server settings" and "advanced". It does not have the option of showing unsubscribed folders in it. It actually just says "when downloading this pop mail for this server, use the following folder for new mail. Then it give a choice of "inbox for this server's account" and "inbox for different account" and then there is a box that says "include this server when getting new mail."
Please help, I use my folders for storage for organization for knowing where things are more easily. I need them to be able to refer back to. Thanks with whatever you can assist with. PJ

I had looked at the Troubleshooting Info before but couldn't quite figure out how it would help.
With the help of Google I have now figured out how to kind of "see" the contents of the folderTree.json file. This file shows at lest some of the missing folder names but I have no idea to restore visibility of these folders.
The Upload images wouldn't accept the .json file but I have attached a SNIP of part of the file as displayed by "notepad". The entry "mailbox://nobody@Local%20Folders/Eudora%20Mail/Stans%20Mail/Funy-inspirational%20collections" is clearly one of the missing folder names.
So I know that some and probably all of the folder tree exists in memory somewhere and I also have daily B/U of the entire Hard Drive. The question is how to get them back where I can use them?
