Transferring purchases
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod has your purchased content from the iTunes Store, you can transfer the content to a computer that is authorized for your Apple ID.
Note: This option only works for content you purchased from the iTunes Store (as opposed to content from other sources, such as CDs you may have imported). For content you did not purchase from the iTunes Store,synchronization occurs in one direction only. This means your content can be copied from a computer to your iOS device, but cannot be copied from your device to a computer.
Open iTunes.
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.
Enter your Apple ID and password. Then, click the Authorize button.
Connect your device your computer. If it is synced with another iTunes library, you may be asked if you want to "Erase and Sync" or "Transfer Purchases."
If that alert appears, click Transfer Purchases.
Important: Clicking Erase and Sync will delete any existing content currently on your device. The content would then be replaced with the content that is on the computer.
If you were not offered the option to transfer purchases:
After connecting your device to the computer, its icon appears in iTunes. Click the icon.
From the File > Devices menu, choose "Transfer Purchases from 'Your device name.'"

I've update my iphone to the latest version thorough my itunes, but when i update my friend's iphone, it starts to redownload the whole thing again, so where does the update file goes after the 1st download?

It seems that i have to redownload the whole 800+ MB of the update file again when i want to update my friend's iphone through my itunes, I've updated MY iphone to the latest version after very very long hours of download, and i tried updating a 2nd friend's iphone and it was very fast as the file has already been downloaded, but this problem occurs when i want to update a 3rd friend's iphone, can someone help?

IPAD/mini Ipad needs iTunes version 10.7 or later. Ipads are not shown under devices in iTunes.

I recently purchased two mini IPADs. When I connect either of them to my Mac, the first message displays says "no camera was found", then I receive a message stating "The Ipad cannot be used because it requires an iTunes version 10.7 or later" Neither device is recognize or found in iTunes under devices when connecting to my MacBook. Both Ipads have latest IOS 6. According to "software update" on my Macbook, all Macbook software is up to date too.
When I first purchased both Ipads, I was able to connect them to my macbook and both the mini ipad's were found under devices within iTunes. Not sure what changed.
Does anyone know how to update the mini ipad's iTunes software without connecting it to your computer?
Within the mini ipad, I went to the "general" table, "software update" and it says "your software is up to date". Would IOS 6.0.1 include itunes 10.7?

I assume I need to purchase this software (no more free updates?) in order to connect my mini ipad to my MacBook? Do you think this could resolve my issue? I believe my MacBook was purchased in Jan 2009.
Again, it's weird b/c just two weeks ago, I was able to connect both mini Ipads to my Mac. I assume an automatic software update occurred somewhere.

I just recently bought Logic 9 from the appstore. I've downloaded the app plus all the additional content. Unfortunately many of the samplerinstruments wont open when I click on them in Logic. It's not just a few instruments but many!!! So far I'm up to about 20 instruments that fail to load because of missing audiofiles - and I have only gone through the 10-20% of all the instruments...

My hard drive fried, and I need to transfer files from iPod to My Music

I've seen articles on transferring music from an old computer to a new one when you still have the old computer. But, my hard drive completely fried, and I need to know how to transfer the files from my iPod to the new hard drive. I thought I saw an article that actually contained a video on how to do this, but now I can't find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Why will reader XI not let me accept the license agreement upon startup? Only Decline is available.

I have had to restore my Win 7 64-bit system due to Reader XI crashing on start-up due to internal error and it took Acrobat XI Pro with it. Now I cannot accept the license agreement. Tried Tab-Enter and that did not work. Any ideas? I need this for college classes immediately.

I don't know why this is happening; I have never seen this before. Try the following
using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader
double-click on Eula.exe and accept the License Agreement
If that still gives you the same problem, set the registry entry that you have accepted the License Agreement:

I can't reproduce this. I tried a few synchronized clips, and Clip->Break Apart Clip Items worked as expected.

What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not your "account." The "account" you have for iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use when purchasing or downloading from the iTunes Store. If these songs came from music CDs that you imported into iTunes, those songs are not related to your Apple ID.

How are they not "recognized"? Are the songs still listed in your iTunes music library, but grayed out? They no longer appear in your iTunes library at all?
If you search your computer (not in iTunes) for the song files, using one of the song names, can you find the song files?
