Just purchased Xcelsius Server 2008 and it will not open

I have been using the xcelsius 2008 server trial edition and decided to purchase the full product. After I paid, I received a product key and a link to download. When I open the trial version, it has a link to enter a product key, so I entered the key I was given. I got a message that this key was invalid.
So I clicked the download link and downladed a new file. It downloaded and installed with no problems (including accepting the key I was given). But now, when I try to open the application, the Xcelsius logo comes up, but then it immediately pops up a Windows message bos that says "Xcelsius has stopped working" and shuts down.
There are now two shortcuts and two folders for Xcelsius. I tried both the old and the new with the same result.
I am using Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Can anybody help?

Try and run it from the start menu as administrator.
Also look at the size of your RAM, anything under 4G, may result in possible instability.
If it does not work I would suggest, unstall both instances.
Restart the machine and install the working application.

Best route here is to uninstall iTunes completely using the Windows Control Panel.
Make sure you know exactly which version of Win 7 you're running.
Restart your computer from cold (with no iTunes).
Go to Apple website and download the correct version for your operating system. Install following Apple prompts.
Once installed, close iTunes.
Restart your computer from cold (with new iTunes).
Start iTunes - all should be operating well! Good luck ...

From where did you download Premiere Elements 9 at this late date? What computer operating system is it to be running on?
Do you have the 9.0.1 Update installed?

Are you getting any display card errors?
We have just gone down this type of road with another 9 user, so let us start with what finally seems to have worked for him.
What video card/graphics card does your computer use? Is the driver for that card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of that card? If not, update the card driver. If the driver is up to date already, then delete the BadDrivers.txt file.
For now I will assume that you are working on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.

and in the 9.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. Make sure that you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path shown. After you deleted the BadDrivers.txt and reopened Premiere Elements, the program will generate a new BadDrivers.txt file but now the problem should be gone.
Please review, consider, and then let us know the outcome.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Just purchased a Pixma MG3520 wireless printer and have not been able to maintain wireless communication/capabilty. It worked briefly after the initial setup ... was detected and able to print from my iPhone and tablet. Then it was no longer visible and with each attempt at setup, can not be detected. This is a brand new unit! I have followed all available instructions, read support threads (others are having the same problem), tried various approches with the router, etc. without success. Can anyone help? Canon responded to my first support email and dropped me.

Just purchased my laptop. Is upgrading my graphics driver necessary already or is this considered a maintenance type thing where upgrades are normal as they become available?

Updating the drivers is a maintenance procedure. They should normally be updated as they become available. You can run Windows Update and HP Update to get the latest drivers and other updates.

Ok, 6 hours later it's a fix for me!
Not sure if it'll work for you but it was quite simple.
Open Finder > (go) Computer > Macintosh HD (for me) > Users > Click once on the Home icon (main admin) > Get Info >
click on lock and authorise bottom right > click on cog wheel drop down > click on 'Apply to enclosed items' > OK
Close info window and try to open bridge

I do not have any experience with Final Cut, but if you have existing projects that you MUST access; then you are in need of a solution on your new iMac in Mountain Lion!
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. Purchase a used Mac that will run Snow Leopard (with the optional Rosetta installed) and continue to run FCE on that Mac (you can actually use Screen Sharing with a "headless" used Snow Leopard Mac Mini and use the 27" screen from your iMac to view and work FCE in the Mac Mini environment);
2. Upgrade to an Intel compatible version of FCE and hope it converts your existing projects to its newer format correctly. There is much debate that the newer version of Final Cut are eliminating many needed features; for example Final Cut Pro X vs. Final Cut Pro 6 -- many users are staying with version 6;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels and then install FCE in the Snow Leopard environment:

That suggests that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files.
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)
