Just spent best part of the day trying too restore

restoring will not work for me errors every time the phone screen faded when i was on internet
last nite and wouldnt turn on so tried restore everytime it would get half way too restore,
then pop up on itunes with errors random ones -1 ,9 now stuck on itunes logo too connect
i do think its the phone as the screen shouldnt fade like that, i really hate the iphone 5
has anyone any similiar problems restoring or with phone fading turning off

You cannot do selective restore; must do a complete restore.

When trying to troubleshoot my problem I discovered a forum that was saying certain NTFS drives work just fine
Apple support says that an NTFS or exFAT drive cannot be used when connected to the AirPort Extreme.
I suppose it is possible that someone might have been using some type of special software on the drive that might perform a "conversion", but without more details, it is hard to know.
Note: ExFAT and NTFS formats aren't supported.

The best part of the recent TV update is the podcast filter - so you can just see the podcasts with video, audio, or both. This was badly needed, and is a reason to update if you have not done so already.

I thought the same thing but then realised that Pages 09 remains installed and the new Pages is under applications, quite a good idea if you prefer your older version! Just look in applications folder and you should see the new Pages icon once you have restarted your mac.

Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware.

My daughter's iPod Touch is stuck on a blank screen with that loading circle thing just going around and around. She said she was trying to duplicate an app or something, and all the the apps started shaking like when you delete them. I turned the iPod off, but it never turned back on completely. I tried to restore it, but it's saying that I have to enter the passcode. But, as I said, there's nothing on the sceen excect the circle thing. Please help!!!!!

How do I setup an RMS Vi to just do a RMS calculation on just a specified part of the waveform?

I want use an RMS vi to calculate the RMS value of an incoming waveform. I only want to do this calculation on a specified part of the wave form, so it can be used to create a beam pattern for a sonar transducer. Can anybody out there help me with this problem. For instance I would like to do the RMS calculation 1.5ms to 1.7ms

You can extract the part of interest of your waveform before calculating the RMS value. Use the Waveform tool VI called Get Waveform Subset.vi located in the Waveform Operations palette. In your case input Start = 1.5 ms, Duration = 0.2 ms and make sure the Mode parameter is set = Relative Time.

Music just stopped playing, sometimes mid song have tried resync, restore

I have the 4s and about a week ago the music will stop mid song, sometimes a reboot fixed it and it will play again, sometimes I can not get it to play again! Tried deleting all my music and readding. Even tried a restore!!!! Help!

Okay - nevermind. I was playing around with it, tried to restore it and it didn't work, then when I was just pressing random things to try and make it work, it started working again. I just pressed the top 5 circles where you can star / rate a song :S and it began working. Weird. Nevermind and thanks anyways.

Error 1 indicates a serious hardware failure. Take the device to Apple for evaluation.

How can I burn just a selected part of the project to DVD?

Afternoon all,
we downloaded a number of clips from our HDV that we wanted to use in making a short movie (1 hour's worth of clips will end up being a movie of about half that length). After doing that, we decided to do a 'preview' of 2 minutes worth of mixed clips (5 in total) with music.....I made a new copy of the whole project and then deleted everything that we didn't want from the original collection of 1 hours worth of downloaded clips so that the project just left 2 minutes worth of clips.
When we tried to burn this 2 minutes to DVD it seemed to be trying to do the whole project including a whole lot of nothing where I've deleted everything.
Could you please tell me how to select only the 2 minutes worth of 5 clips and audio so that I can burn only that bit to DVD and also upload it to YouTube.
A million thanks from a challenged newbie who can't find any instructions for doing this..

It sounds like you did, just as you should, Save_As and Delete everything that is unwanted. If you did the Deletion from the Timeline, there should be nothing from the old Project, that should be included. A DVD is Transcoded and burned from the Timeline. If the Assets are not there, they will not included in the DVD, even if you did not Delete anything from the Project Panel.
Tell us about the Clips now on your Timeline. Also, can you check the Timeline, by hitting the \ (Backslash key), and looking near the end of the Timeline. Do you have any "orphans" out there? Check all Video Tracks, even if you have to scroll to see them all. Does the Duration of the Timeline (viewed in the Program Monitor) match what you think that it should? If not, then you most likely have orphans, that you missed Deleteing.

If it was officially unlocked by the carrier it was originally locked to, then it should have been fine.
If it was hacked in any way to make it function as if it were unlocked, then upon restore the iOS firmware failed to re-install correctly and it is now a brick - so in that case, yup, might as well toss it in the trash.

Even on my new MBP Safari just hangs. And on the 2 MacBooks too

Wow. So I've bought myself a MacBook Pro. 2ghz. Up from a 1.67ghz AL PowerBook.
I had posted before with my PB on how Safari just hangs at loading pages. The blue URL bar just hangs at 3/4 of the way. And sits thre for minutes or forever.
My only solution has always been to just do Apple Key and letter R as part of each page I go to in Safari. And this loads the page and it comes up instantly. So it's the initial going to a new page that chokes Safari.
So I upgrade to a 2ghz MacBook Pro and two 2ghz Macbooks.
And wouldn't you know it, Safari does EXACTLY the same thing. Hangs. Chokes. Beach Ball of death too now. ***
And I also had previously posted on visiting the Apple Store and Safari hung up on their machines too.
I keep my Safari cache folder read only. And the Favicon folder also read only. I have an honest 30Mbps cable connection. And the kicker, like before-
Firefox flies and loads pages instantly! With Safari hanging and choking, I'll open Firefox and go to the page Safari is hangin and choking and, BAM. Page loads right up in Firefox. WOW
What is it with Safari Apple? I can't imagine one PC user switching to Mac if on testing the web in an Apple Store and the web "seems so slow" to them. It's the dog Safari.
So as I type this on my new MBP using Firefox, does anyone think Apple will ever address this issue? Others have posted saying they get the exact same thing with their copy of Safari.
Can any imagine Steve in his office using Safari thinking this is the way a browser is supposed to work? He must be using Firefox too.

I have three people here that this happens too. At different locations. 2 MacBooks and one MacBook Pro. We all updated from 2 iBooks and 1 PowerBook.
And Safari does this. This is how Safari works. If we go to the exact smae sites in Firefox, the sites load instantly. Insantly!!
I think Apple needs to ddress this issue. As I've found here in the discussions, this IS how Safari works many many thousands of users.

HT201413 ? I have an iPad 3 and it just keeps power cycling. I have tried to restore it with iTunes several times and it keeps coming up with Error 9. Loss of USB connection. I have tried different cables and ports and it wont come back to life.

Can't seem to figure this out on my own. My apple store is 90 minites away and I would like to not burn up a weekend traveling to the store just to have it sent away. Any ideas what I can do to get my iPad3 from power cycling. I am up to date on all software updates.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

After upgrading my Ipad, the pdf files that I was keeping in ibooks just disappeared. I did the security copy and restored the Ipad from it, but the files are gone. What can I do?

I did an upgrading of the system at my Ipad, I have several pdf files at ibook and the files are gone now. I don't understand what happened and, worse, how can I recover my files.

This happened to me some time ago when I updated my iPad. You will need to replace the missing PDFs from the backup you keep on your computer.
