Although you say you have let the battery drain, was it for long enough? Since nothing else that you've tried so far has worked, I suggest that you leave the iPod unplugged for at least four days, preferably a week. That way, if something is stopping the iPod from turning the screen on, then whatever it is will drain the battrey. However, since the screen isn't on, that may take longer than if the screen was on.
Then, after that time, plug the iPod into a power source and leave it alone for at least thirty minutes. Only after thirty minutes will it show any signs of life, but you should leave it until it is fully charged before trying to use it.
If you get to this stage, the fact that the battery has drained will cause the iPod to reset when it springs back to life.

thanksActually, it's Visual Basic Script (VBScript) on your
computer that is causing the problems, not iTunes.
To get this running, you simply have to re-register
VBScript. Follow the steps in this article:

Thanks for the help - I think we are on the right rack...unfortunately, when i input the string into the command prompt I get a new error - 'the module "vbscript.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegister failed with error code 0*80004005.
Any suggestions for this new problem?

All of the text between them are screwed up. They cannot text just one. The text goes to and comes from each. Very annoying. Please help
Is it actually texting that is the issue or iMessage?
If it's iMessage... then you need a unique iCloud ID for each device otherwise it will do exactly what you are experiencing. -
Upon start up of my laptop I get a APS Daemon.exe system error - MSVCR80.dll is missing. This just started out of the blue. At one point it told me to reinstall ITunes. Is that truly necessary?
I have the same issue after installing the new update and reinstalling iTunes doesn't fix the issue.
I found disabling Apple push (APSDaemon.exe) from the start up will stop the error from appearing, however this will disable wireless syncing. If you don't use it than it shouldn't be an issue.
I'm using a PC so you can disable it using the msconfig command and turning it off in the Startup tab. I don't know if Mac users are experiencing the same issue. Hopefully Apple will fix it in their next update. -
has anyone ever had this problem and know how to fix it ?? I upload songs on to my ipod and they appear on my ipod in itunes but after i disconnect (the correct way) the songs do not appear on my ipod. If i plug the ipod back into my computer it still shows them as being on my ipod through itunes but not when i disconnect please please please help!! thankyou! (Also the songs i'm trying to upload are cd's that i have brought)

There have been similar reports, yes. You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. I purchase songs from Itunes and as soon as I sync my phone, the song gets deleted. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
I have random songs that a have paid for but they just disappear, or cannot be downloaded and so on. Sometimes they are indexed wrongly, and can't be found because of that, no work around because also the search function of itunes has gotten totally unusable. Not much fun to be an apple user anymore. I once used to be a very loyal user. My first apple was a Macintosh SE and an image writer II.

Can't install silverlight - anyone else had this problem and knows how to fix it?
Trying to install Silverlight 5.0 on Firefox 11.0 (Mac OSX Lion). No matter how many times I try to install it (having uninstalled using MacKeeper), I still get the same message telling me I need to install it.
Has anyone else had this issue and knows how to solve it please?

GLCI've had the same problem. I'm sure it was caused by a MacKeeper cleaning operation. Here's how I solved it:
Download and install EasyFind from DevonTechnologies.com:
http://www.devontechnologies.com/products/freeware.html
You can also install it from the App Store.
Launch the app and make sure to enable the following settings on the left-hand side of EasyFind:
Search for: Files & Folders
Operator: Phrase
Comparison: Ignore Case
Include: Package Contents
Include: Invisible Files & Folders
Then chose your Mac hard disk that contains your system on the upper right-hand side of EasyFind (directly below the search field.)
Enter "silverlight" in the search field and hit Enter. The files and folders will start to populate the window below the search field. When the search is complete, select all of the found items and click the Delete button in the toolbar.
NOTE: REMOVAL OF PROTECTED FILES: Some items cannot be deleted because they require your administrator password. Those items will remain in the list. Right/Ctrl click each of those files and chose Reveal in Finder from the submenu. A new Finder window will open displaying the file. Right/Ctrl click on the file and chose Move to Trash. You will then be asked for your admin password. After you provide it, the item will be moved to the trash.
To be on the safe side, I restarted my Mac, downloaded a fresh copy of Silverlight, quit Firefox, and performed the install. When I relaunched Firefox and navigated to Netflix, Silverlight played the movie properly.

Since the latest system update to 10.9.2 I can no longer get a signal from my Macbook Air to my TV. Has this happened to anyone else and how can I fix it.

Hi,
After wacthing a video for a while, my screen usually goes like this :
This usually happens after a few minutes, but it happens a lot faster when I watch at 720p compared to 360p.
I even tried formatting my pc to resolve this issue, but that didn't work.
Does anyone know what might help?

This is Ravindra Jassal from Mumbai, India. I had the similar problem and SOLVED IT !!! by taking following steps:
1) Installed latest version of Firefox.
2) Opened a youtube video IN FIREFOX and played the video in NORMAL MODE (not Fullscreen mode)
& paused it after 5 seconds.
3) Then I went to the DESKTOP & right clicked on SCREEN to see SWITCHABLE GRAPHICS mode.
4) I clicked on it & I saw PLUGINS HOLDER set to HIGH PERFORMANCE mode.
5) I clicked on HIGH PERFORMANCE mode to change it to POWER SAVING MODE. Then clicked Apply.
And voila, all my problems with Flash Player got solved.
Flash Player started working fine BOTH in IE9 & FIREFOX.
I assure you, try it for once & you will get the result.
This msg is for entire Adobe Community using Accelerated Graphics Cards & having problems with Flash Player 10.3

The message comes through, but has a question mark instead of the picture. Has anyone got any ideas? I don't really want to go back to old firmware.
Is it formatted Mac OS Extended (journaled)? If not do so using Disk Utility.
P.S. If you store live fies on an external disk you need to back it up just like data on your internal disk or if and when that disk crashed then, poof, all your music will be gone.
If you do not already have one, purchase an external drive to dedicate to Time Machine backups. Then in the Time Machine exclusions list, remove the image of the music offload disk. Then both your internal and external live drives will be backed up to the Time Machine disk.
