Watch online videos and practice doing what they show you.
Keep in mind there is no easy way to learn Photoshop, simply because it's so compex and powerful. But be patient, it will come.

I've been using Lightroom since LR1. I now have several LR 5.5 catalogs generally organized by year and camera. I want to create a new catalog which will contain my best from each catalog. BUT, I don't want to remove the photos from their "home" catalog. The photos will continue to reside in both their original catalog and in the new "Portfolio" catalog. The easiest way to approach this is to filter photos in catalog "A" by rating, select all 5-star photos and create a new catalog containing just the selection. I don't want to export or remove them from their catalog or move them on disk. I want them to appear in BOTH catalogs. Since Lightroom is built on a database that merely points to image files, it seems like this should be possible.
I realize I can create an empty catalog and select File->Import from Another Catalog... , then locate the photos one at a time by name and location clicking the import checkbox - tedious is an understatement when you have several 10's of thousands of photos.

This is incorrect. I accept that you think the database is getting slower, but the database (and really all databases) are designed to work pretty much the same regardless of the number of records, except for perhaps searching through the entire catalog. We have seen in this forum people who are now editing larger RAW files than a few years ago, they see it is slower, and decide it is the size of the database, rather than the size of their photos.
What aspects of Lightroom are slow? If it's scrolling and displaying the previews and searching, then it might be the database. If its displaying images in the Develop module, it is NOT the database at all.
Have you taken steps to improve the performance of the database, such as Optimizing it regularly? have you tried these performance tips: FAQ: Experiencing Performance related problems in Lightroom? -

I want to put the photos I have on my facebook into my iphoto on my new imac when i do this using iPhoto it says i cant use the pictures to make products such as calenders or books... is their a fix to this?
Try download them from Facebook first - you do this in your Web browser. Then import them to iPhoto.

Answer: you need something unique in that object you can get a handle on.
Or you use the selection a user of your script is doing and work with that selection…
A "scrollable frame" is nothing special. What it makes it a "scrollable frame" is the DPS software.
So you have to look for attached labels on the object, that identify the object for the PDS plug-in "Overlay Creator" as a "scrollable frame". That's possible with the "extractLabel("KeyString")" function. But you need to know the appropriate key-string in advance.
In another of your thread in the DPS forum, I basically answered the question how to obtain those key-strings.
When knowing the key-string you could loop through all your page items (you can skip all text frames) in the allPageItems-collection, to identify the "scrollable frame" by extracting the right label.
If you have more than one "scollable frames" you need a second unique identifier for the particular object.
That could be nearly any property.
Keep in mind, there is no "scrollableFrames" collection in the DOM !

You can't. The iPhone doesn't actually store all your emails anyway. It is showing you what is on the server directly.
Only the most recently accessed emails are cached (stored temporarily) on your phone for access when you are offline. If you delete an email from your iPhone, you are actually deleting it from the server. -
I`d like to know how can i insert documents, xls/doc/pdf into iCloud and have them in my iPhone and my iPad. I just found one way, through ibooks, but i think it isn't a practical option.

You mean that no "business oriented" person listents to music or plays games? Most "business oriented" persons also have a life.
Nevertheless, the N97 is more "entertainment oriented" than "business oriented" as far positioning goes.
Note also things like the clearly more "consumer oriented" E63 even if it is Eseries.
In any case, you can't put a single lable over any individual user (sometimes the person is working, sometimes playing, sometimes doing business and at other times not). -

I have a class named Status in C# that has 2 data members. There is another Class named Parameter and it has functions that return objects of type Status.
I made the DLL of the class Parameter. Then i added that class to NI TestStand and called a fucntion and that function is returning an object of type Status.
Is there any way by which i can access the Data Members of the returned Object in TestStand ??

Go to Solution.Yes, there is another alternative. If you make Status a value type (i.e. a struct in C#) then you can tell teststand to store it in a corresponding TestStand data structure rather than an object reference variable. This works even for private fields in your struct. To do this:
1) First make Status a value type and make whatever other changes are necessary in your code to account for this (value types are copied when passed by value to another method, if this is not what you want you will need to pass them by reference - i.e. ref keyword in C#).
2) Recompile your assembly.
3) In the TestStand .NET module specification panel you should now see a new button next to the expression for the return value of type Status that looks like the TestStand data type icon. Push that button and it will prompt you to create a TestStand custom data type that corresponds to the .NET type. Select to save the type in MyTypes.ini type palette file. You only need to do this once. Once the type is in your MyTypes.ini type palette file it will be available from then on and you only need to update it if you change the .NET type.
4) Create a local variable of the TestStand Custom data type instead of Object Reference. Note that you can expand it and see the properties underneath.
5) Use this new local variable to store the Status return value. TestStand will copy/update the properties of the variable to correspond to those of the .NET struct that the method returns.
NOTE: You can also just store the individual fields of a struct in separate variables by expanding the return value of type Status once it's a struct and specifying a separate variable for each field rather than creating a TestStand custom data type.
Keep in mind that TestStand is making a copy when you store a struct this way so changes to the struct after this will not be reflected in the copy.

to the View that contains it.
Use events to determine when the swfloader content is ready

We have developed the application through which we are creating the user and role and mapping that role with the created user. The created role is saved in some LDAP directory. The second application in which ejb methods are mapped with some security roles.The LDAP roles we are getting in Netweaver as groups and we can perform the mapping of the deployed ejb roles with the group.Now for the logged in user we want to get the roles mapped with it so that we can give/deny the access to the methods from EJB as per the role of that user .How we will get the access to the mappings of the roles with the group in the application, if I know the LDAP roles mapped with the user (since these roles are accessible as groups in the NetWeaver)
For e.g. From application created the user with the role as "manager". This role is stored in iPlanet directory.

Let say objectclas is always MATERIAL.
Let's assume our key is changenr. May be our key will change to "objectclas objectid".
So, my problem that I need to get the number of the same "objectid" with different "changenr".
And also I need to put the count number of each object id with different changenr in the table cdhdr_data.
For example

One thing that I also recommend in the future is to back your iTunes library up relatively regularly. You can get your purchases in the cloud just fine, typically, but at the very least, it will save some time by backing it up.
