Just switched from BTVision to BTYouview
Ok, all good news so far. Box & activation all spot ontime, and noticed my services are all updated when checking status of latter on My BT page.
Install and set-up was trouble free and its good to have the red button and surround sound working again.
Picture quality is good too ........... so fingers crossed ........... and bring on Vision Sport !!!

Well at the moment you don't get red button services or HD surround sound with BTVision, they got lost months ago on a software upgrade, and I like having both of those.
On the BTYouview platform you get BTVision (with choice of two package options) + everything else that is available on the Youview platform if you have a BTYouview box. Also, that 'Youview' bit will grow much more (as will BTYouview) so you will continue to have those two expanding viewing options. With BTYouview (as the multicast side of that grows) you will get extra HD Chans and Premium Chans like Sky Sports etc, the latter is (imo) bound to come in time for the launch of the New BTSports Chan in August (ish) so I as an individual who had/and wants those again in the near future will get them back soon. Losing them for a short while is ok. My BTVision box 'died' so just switched a few months earlier to save all that hassle twice.
In fact when all the above 'sorts of things' are implemented I wouldn't be surprised if BTVision upgraded customers to the BTVYouview box 'gradually' (but that's just me thinking aloud)
How's that for a very potted 'life story'

I don't use Apple's Mail client (I use MS Outlook) but setting up your Gmail account should be fairly straightforward. Just make certain that you have your settings correct.
For your incoming server, be sure to use the "map.gmail.com" server, using SSL, using port "993" (usually the default).
For your outgoing server, be sure to use the "smtp.gmail.com" server, override the default port and use port "465" and use SSL to connect and make sure that you enter your email address and password to access the SMTP server.
If you've already set up your account with these settings, you may need to Google "gmail setup apple mail" and find the Google document relating to same.

Just switched from CS6 to PS CC. I am very comfortable using ACR in previous versions. I liked to use the preview checkbox located in the upper right-hand corner to see before and afters. That checkbox is no longer in my version of PS CC. I see that they have side-by-side, top and bottom and right and left before and after options in the lower right-hand corner in this version. Is there anyway to get that legacy preview checkbox back so that I can use it?Hi Warunicorn,

I just switched from pc and want to get my HP all in one printer to work with macbook air. Is it just as simple as downloading drivers from HP?
Turn the printer on and plug the printer into the MBA and your mac should install the printer for you (usually any necessary drivers too). I had a printer I used on a pc and I plugged it into my macs usb port and my mac automatically recognized it and took care of everything for me. If you do this and it wont print, then yes go to the HP website the install latest drivers for 10.7

Put my macbook pro to sleep. When I opened it, the desktop window is small and I can't resize it. All applications now run in the smaller size window. Can't make it fill the screen. Just switched from windows. Thank you.
Check to see if the resolution has been changed in System Preferences.

I have just switched from windows and bought myself a new mac mini, only had it a few weeks and already getting message not enough free space. Help, surely cant be out of space already
It sounds unlikely of course. But from your question it's hard to tell what might have filled your HDD. Are you constantly on file sharing or has filled the drive with movies?
Best way to tell is to start checking what folders occupy space. "Get Info" for the HDD and its subfolders is a way to start checking where the data in question resides.
And as BGreg say, call Apple support is also a good way to begin with. -
I have iWeb '08 and just switched from Mobileme to GoDaddy and using Filezilla. I also just upgraded to Lion. Now when I make changes through iWeb it doesn't actually publish to my desktop folder. In fact, it doesn't publish at all but says that it did. How can I make changes in iWeb and publish to a folder?

Just switched from H20 to T Mobile. For some reason I am only picking up 2G instead of 4G Network on this phone. Is there a way to get a carrier update to fix this? I have other T Mo devices at same location and they are all picking up 4G service

I just switched from an HP laptop to a MacAir laptop. I had previously developed a number of powerpoints in which i have video links that require adobe shockwave player. I can no longer play them on the MacAir. Is it safe to download the Adobe player? If not how can I play these videos now?
Adobe players are safe. Go to adobe.com and their site should detect the latest version for your hardware.

I just switched from Aperture to LR and PS CC. My exported images suffer color loss? How do I correct the issue?
I shoot with a Canon 5d Mark III in Adobe 1998 Color Space. I've been exporting JPEGS for web with Color Space sRGB.Does your issue have anything to do with switching from Aperture?
In other words, if you take a new photograph with your camera, and import it in Lightroom, then export it, is there still a problem?
Or is the problem somehow tied to transition from Aperture, or photos migrated from Aperture...?
I'm guessing the reason you brought up Aperture is that you did not have export "color loss" issues in Aperture, like you are having in Lightroom, but since you didn't say... (just want to be sure).

Just switched from safari on my imac. When using search menu in safari I had the option to "find on this page," which was an incredible help while doing research and looking for specific phrases/words. Is there any way to have this feature using firefox?
I think Safari has the same keyboard shortcut as Firefox "command+F" on a Mac or "Ctrl+F" on Windows.
Look in the lower left corner for the Find. There are more likely to be differences in Find Next and Find Previous in the keyboard shortcuts, but continuing at the Find bar at the bottom doesn't matter what browser you use. There is an "X" there to dismiss the Find bar. In Windows the "Esc" key will dismiss the bar if you are within the find text entry area.

I just switched from iphone 4s to LG G3. I'm having issues with bluetooth in my car, iphone would sync automatically but with G3 I have to manually connect to my car's bluetooth every time I turn it on - it won't sync automatically. Any fixes?
You can turn on BT tethering but it disables Wifi so if I have to do that step every time I get in my car, I just as well manually connect on BT every time.

I can't see the Audio Waveforms in the timeline. No triangle button to click. Just switched from FCP. Help!
When I click on the wrench or right click to customize the box, these are the options I'm given. I don't see waveform. I've edited in Adobe Audition for years, and see the waveform panels in all the Premiere Pro tutorials, am I missing something? (besides a brain?)

I just switch from tape to digital. The video has a little bounce when played on tv. I copyied the DVD to a folder, and burned it to a dvd.

Premiere Elements 11, 12, or 13 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit....
You could go back to the project and, in the Edit area, scale out the bouncing bottom edge. I am assuming that it will be visible there.
Then do another burn to folder, and then take the saved folder's VIDEO_TS to DVD disc with your 3rd party software, presumed ImgBurn.
If you want to scale width and height together, then leave the check mark next to Constrain Proportions in Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Motion Panel expanded. If you want to scale width and height separately, the remove the check mark next to Constrain Proportions in Motion Panel expanded.
Please let us know the results. We might consider the Crop Effect also. (fx Effects/Transform/Crop with edits of it int Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Crop Panel expanded).
