so if you have 3 stereo tracks in FC but only one track (left and right channels) are "enabled" and you export... Im assuming FC will ignore the tracks which are "disabled" is that correct or do I need to actually delete those other tracks to avoid rendering them?

Yep,
if you disabled/hide them (one way to do this is to hit Control+B after track selection), you'll export only the enabled tracks.

What version of VISA are you using? What version of MAX?. What OS are you using?
You can try using the lastest version, NI-VISA 3.0. The installer also includes the lastest version of MAX (3.0). The installer can be found in the Driver and Updates >> NI-VISA

Depending on which country's store you are in, the previews are supposed to be either 30 or 90 seconds.
The last few days there have been several posts here that they are not getting the full preview. There is certainly no setting to control that, so I suppose the problem is at the store.
My suggestion is to try again in a few days, or to purchase from another online music download retailer.

I read more and more about RAM problems and making sure you have Mac compatible RAM upgrades...
I have added RAM to my G5 twice... I walked into CompUSA, told them the type/speed/size I needed and they sold it to me with no questions about my computer.
It has always worked fine for me.

Video and audio not sync when i play all forms of video. from music videos, to tv shows. but they play perfect on my iPod. and tv shows display out of order on iPod, but in correct order on iTunes/computer. I even ran a virus check just to make sure.

audio and video do not syncronize. all forms of videos. music videos to tv shows. what do i need to do the syncronize them again
they are in sync on iPod, but not on computer.
another issue that might be from the same cause is, the order of episodes of the tv shows i have downloaded, they appear in order on computer, but on iPod they show out of order.
any tips on how to fix this would very much help.

An old version of iTunes will cause this and mess up the videos on your iPod. Always make sure you always use an up-to-date version of iTunes.

If you do not migrate from MobileMe to iCloud your email will cease to work at the end of June.
You can migrate from MobileMe to iCloud at http://me.com/move even with Snow Leopard: when asked to confirm that your Mac is running Lion just lie and say 'yes'. Of course you won't be able to access iCloud directly from your Mac.
If you have MobileMe mail set up to collect mail from external POP accounts you should cancel this before migrating, or you may find it still working in iCloud (where it isn't supposed to) and with no way of stopping it.
This will be the situation with Snow Leopard when you have migrated:
Your email, calendars, and 'Find my iPhone' will be migrated to iCloud. Contacts and Bookmarks cannot be migrated from a Snow Leopard Mac.
Your iDisk, together with website hosting and Gallery, will continue to work as before until next June.

Just a couple of questions on the Ultra10 systems as i'm new to them, bare with me, k.
1, Tryed to gain access to the bios using F2 but no luck, can anyone help?
2, Is the bios firmware, is that right..? and where to get upgrades if needed?
3, I need to install new HDD's to the servers, is there a capacity limit(solaris 9 to be installed), do i need a bios upgrade/firmware..? I have downloaded the installation guides and from the look of them from the inside the HDD's just look like standard IDE devices.

Fans (just to be sure)

I am sorry to everyone to post another message on this but after reading everything that is here, I would like confirmation that changing my logic board is the next step.
We have a 20" G5, 2 GHz, 1.5 GB RAM running 10.4.2. With only Safari & XRG running the fans regularly (every 30 seconds or so) cycle up from:
CPU: 1500
Hard Drive: 2300
System: 1700
to:
CPU: 4400
Hard Drive: 6000
System: 4000
They run at these speeds for approximately 10 seconds and then slowly go back down to the values above.
This is with the temps at (and they are steady at these values throughout):
CPU T-diode: 120 deg. F
Hard Drive: 59 deg. F
and with CPU usage at only 5%. The more things you do - the more often the fans cycle and the longer they run at the higher speeds.
I've done an SMU reset - no luck. Is there anything else I should do before changing the logic board?

Before calling Apple, let's try something else. I agree with Miriam that your temps are good, but the fans are acting strangely. That makes me think it is a software issue. Since resetting the SMU didn't do anything, it is likely something in the OS itself.
When you do your system updates, do you use software update, or do you take the extra time to download the combo updates? I see that you are still running 10.4.2, but there have been 4 more updates since then, some of which addressed the software that controls the fans.
Follow THIS link to the combo update. I pray that you have broadband, 'cause this one is a doozy - LOL!
Follow this process -
1) Backup your data, preferably by cloning to an external FW drive. If you do clone, be sure to test the clone to see that it does boot your Mac.
2) Download, but do not install the combo update.
3) Repair permissions. I use OS X Cocktail and run all the scripts available, but repairing permissions is the only essential one.
4) Unplug all USB and FW devices except keyboard and mouse.
5) Reboot, install update, reboot, run Cocktail (or repair permissions) and reboot again.
After that, if it was OS related, it should be fixed. If not, then perhaps it is something physical on the midplane that would justify a replacement.

The article state that I can use an "upgrade" disc, but will it work if the only "full retail" license of Windows I have is Windows XP pre-servicepacks? To be clear, I have a Windows XP disc (pre-servicepacks), a Windows Vista upgrade disc, and a Windows 7 upgrade disc.

Let me get this straight. From what I understand, I broke my iPod Touch 4g that's still under standard warranty, which wont expire till january 2013. So until then, I can take my iPod to an Apple Store, and either pay $99 to replace it, or get it replaced for free, depending on how nice my genius is?

You can "be sure" that Apple is under no obligation to give you - for free - another iPod, if you broke the one you have.
Since we have no way of knowing "how nice your genius is" (presumably, you mean the Apple employee in the store), we have no way of "being sure" if he/she will simply replace something you managed to break. The only way you can "be sure" is to go to the store and trying your luck.
I'm sure that I know what my answer would be though.

No, it is not strictly necessary to partition it. You can freely use whatever volume Time Machine is using. And, there's no critical reason not to do so.
Mostly, the recommendation to keep the Time Machine volume "sacrosanct" is for more strict file organization (backup on one volume, other things somewhere else). There's also somewhat more data security in a scheme that keeps things separate.

I think I know the answer but just to be sure - connecting a data cable & the ONT box....

So I have an ONT box with Coax out - it provides TV, phone & data. I have a PC I'd like to connect, unfortunately it isn't wireless & even if it were, it is too far from the router to pick up wireless. However it is close to the ONT box so running a cable from there would be ideal. However my understanding is if you are wired with Coax, the ethernet port in the box is disabled.
So is my only option running physical cable from my router to this PC? It is a very long run and it wouldn't be easy. Any other suggestions or is the only way?

That is correct.
Since you have coax at the ONT, your main splitter is probably close by.
You could connect a MOCA adapter to your main splitter.
That would give you an ethernet port you could connect to.

How can i add an already existing iphone to a different itunes account without changing anything on the actual phone...just updating it?

I have an iphone synced to my iTunes account. But I need to add another used/existing iphone to my account to update it. I do not want to sync my emails/contacts/apps, etc. from my computer/iTunes to this new iPhone. This 2nd iPhone already has existing apps and is in use.
Is there any way that I can do this without changing anything on the existing iPhone? All I need to do is update it to the iOS 5.0.1.

It wasn't my phone, hence the reason we didn't want to share/take each other's content (apps, contacts, music, photos, etc.). But the owner's phone hadn't been able to update because of a computer crash/no access to a stable computer. So, I just wasn't sure if we could do an update without sharing content.
