Just trying to change my installation method
Just signed up for new Comcast internet service today, and they're already failing me.I completed the order with the intention to do the self-installation, then changed my mind and want to have somone do the setup for me. I can't seem to change my order online anywhere, so I tried to contact support via chat and waited 2.5 hours - got all the way down the 15-person queue and they never became available. Not interested in starting over... any ideas on how to reach someone to help?thanks!

I have a debit card on file. There is a balance on my account. I would like to resolve this balance by providing a different credit card. When I tried to do it, it would not take. any suggestions would be helpful.
A debit card is linked to a bank account, that is what is being debited. When I've received new or replacement bank cards in the past I've occasionally had to ring a number at the bank so as to activate the card.
If you are trying to add a debit card, not a credit card, then as far as I know they are no longer accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts about them being declined. -

If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click "iTunes Store" in the left navigation pane. Click the "down arrow" next to your name at the top right side of the page and click "Account." Enter your username and password and click "View Account" to log into your account information. Next to your Payment Type, click "Edit." Select the "None" button and click "Done." Confirm that your card has been removed by returning to the Apple account information screen. Under Payment Type, it should say that there is no credit card on file.

2. open "App Store" application on your macbook. Login and change all the details for card.
3. Login in itunes, iphone ... I will see that all the details are already updated automatically.

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then seeRecover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

Just tried 3 times to update iTunes on my PC running Vista. There was an error. It stopped the installation. Now iTunes will not start at all. The error message tells me to reinstall which I tried but did not work. What should I do?

Thanks for the question. Start with completely uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below. Once this is done, download and install iTunes.

I have an iPhone which I added my email address as my apple ID. I have just purchased an iPad which I add my other email address by mistake and now I am unable to stream my photographs. I have tried to change my email on both devises but with out luck as it won't reconise my pass word. Any ideas
Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Tap the ID and sign out. Then sign in with your other ID.
If this isn't working, restart the iPad - AFTER you sign out of the ID and then sign in with the correct ID after the iPad restarts.
There is no reason why you should not be able to sign in with the ID that you are using on the iPhone and use that passord with that ID on the iPad. -
Just tried installing an update to OSX Snow Leopard. Prior to trying to update OS, I was running V 10.6.3. During installation, it locked up. Although the screen tells me that the installation will be completed in less than one minute, that was two hours ago, and the computer won't permit me to shut it down via the power button, as I get an error sound. What do I do now? Help!
Hold the power key till it shuts down, it may take a little while, try holding it thru the warning.
Then if it shuts down restart and open Safari/Preferences, General tab, and set "Save Downloaded Files to:"
Select desktop, if desktop is not available in the the drop down menu, click other, then select Desktop from the column from the on the left.

Click on the installer pkg and follow the prompts.

i changed the pass through the website,
using laptop.Go to the App Store on the laptop then scroll all the way down.
You'll see a round flag icon on the right. Make sure it's set to the correct country.

What payment method are you trying to use? Prepaid debit cards by chance? Apple does not accept prepaid cards.

Gray screen - no external drive - tips?
