Just uninstalled Adobe FlashPlayer and cannot view videos from several major sites such as CNN, VRT (Flemish Radio Television), etc...) Which version of Flashplayer is safe to install?

I uninstalled FlashPlayer because the last 2 weeks my fan was running continually and the CPU was hot!
I did this on  advise of "mende1" and it solved the problem!
But now I'm stuck with the fact I cannot view those videos that work with FlashPlayer...
On the ADOBE site I can download older versions, starting at 10.1.
I'm confident that the heating problem does not exist with the older versions.
Any idea from which version it started? Which version should be safe to install?
From 10.3 they say that you can update directly to 11.7.
I guess that the problem entered somewhere here.
So I downloaded the file named "playerglobal10_3.swc", but it than it says that there is no standard program associated with it to open.
So what's the next step?
Thank you for any advise.

You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

You need to return it to the seller and get your money back.  You cannot reset or use the device with another AppleID installed unless you know the password for that ID.
If the device has been jailbroken, no one on here can give you any further help...the Terms of Use prohibit us from doing so.

  • Adobe Reader 8 - cannot view videos in pdf file

    Hello,
I have Adobe Reader 8 and cannot view any videos contained in a pdf file. I also have Flash Player, Windows Media Player and Quicktime Player. I am connected to the Internet.
Does anybody have an idea why the videos will not play? Do I need to buy Adobe Reader 9?
I'd be grateful for any help.
    Thank you.

  • I just upgraded to OSX Mavericks and cannot view videos of my children learning to walk. Please help me.

I just installed OSX Mavericks on my macbook pro yesterday now videos of my children learning to walk and talk don't play in iPhoto. Please help me get them working again.
    Thank you.

I have never used the video format you use. However export the video from iPhoto and try and open it with Quicktime or VLC, if that works just export the videos that you require. Again I have not used those applications with that file format but VLC is reported to open most video files.
That is unless another poster can sort out why iPhoto is not working for you.

  • I log on with internet explorer and ican view videos from my att homepage , why can't i with firefox ?

I log on with internet explorer and i can go to select videos from my att homepage. When i log on with firefox and i go to the same videoes i can see the advertisement and then it tells me the video is no longer available. How can we fix this ?

This is a direct download link: [http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-4.0.1&os=win&lang=en-US Download Firefox 4.0.1] Download it to your desktop.
Just in case Firefox is still installed, please do the following.
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
If you don't see Mozilla Firefox in Add/Remove Programs, then it's not installed.

There seems to be no listed available hotfix for WS2008R2 (when I check via my Premier access)

Note that the blog article you referenced (http://portal.sivarajan.com/2011/03/active-directory-management-gateway.html)  does not make any mention of applicability
    to WS2008R2.
Check if you actually need this hotfix at all on WS2008R2. Based on my reading of this article
http://www.aidanfinn.com/?p=9879 , ADGMS is not needed for WS2008R2 at all, because WS2008R2 includes ADWS anyway ??

  • I just purchased Adobe CC and cannot launch any applications after installation.

I installed Photoshop etc and every time I click on the application it brings me to the download center.

    Hi JCMORONEY33,
Which OS are you using. In case of Windows go to start/ All programs and launch Photoshop from there. In case of Mac navigate to Applications and Photoshop should be listed there.

i just downloaded adobe reader and cannot print a pdf file.

    Same or related issue.
After installing latest updates of Mac Mavericks and Adobe Reader, I can't open pdfs downloaded from the web or print pdfs from the web. Using "export" doesn't help. Same with the print/pdf workaround.
I uninstalled/reinstalled Reader. I indicated Adobe Reader as my default opener for pdf-type files. No help.
    I'm using Safari.

  • I cannot view videos and have downloated Adobe Flash Player several times.

I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player several times and still cannot view videos.  I get the error message "you do not have Adobe Flash Player" and the screen for me to download it.  Please help.

    Hi,
    Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
    Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, ( unless you already have it ), download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.  Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if the videos play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component.  When done, restart Internet Explorer.

Ziatron is correct that Flash does not work on an iPad, but it does work on a Mac. See Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.160.

I am just finally posting a reply. Looks as though the sound card went out. I was told that I could purchase a new open and install myself. I did not do that, but rather my step-dad just decided it was time to buy a new Mac Mini.

Then there is something seriously wrong with either your
    browser
    Windows
    Internet connection
I have just downloaded that installer (on Windows 7, using Pale Moon), and the download completed within less than 10 seconds.  And I am some 10,000km away from the Adobe download servers.
Can you try a different browser?
Can you download anything to your computer, e.g. from Microsoft?
