Just update Yosemite to 10.2.2 and now LR5 has that dreaded spinning wheel. Takes about 30 seconds for each click of Wacom pen or mouse. Adobe Bridge will not open. Worked fine prior to this update. have the latest LR5 installed and Bridge CC
Is there some fix for this? this also affects my LR4. PS CC works fine and all other apps.
It's usually necessary to clean up whats left behind after updating OSX.
Try trashing the prefs. Start by quitting Lightroom 5.
Launch Finder and click the Go menu whilst holding down the Option (alt) key. Then go to Library >> Preferences and clear everything relating to LR5 which usually means deleting the following files:
com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist
com.adobe.Lightroom5LSSharedFileList.plist
Then re-launch Lightroom.
Also look for the corresponding files for LR4 and Bridge plist files.

I just purchased a 120gb iPod classic 6th generation from a friend. I have the latest iTunes installed and the software on the iPod is also current. My problem is whenever I'm syncing the iPod and iTunes freezes between the 250- 300th song... I have to manually reset the iPod for the iTunes to run correctly, but then my music isn't added and iTunes tells me I have to restore the iPod... I've done this numerous times only to no avail... Someone please help!!!
Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -
My adobe cloud will not open, how do I fix this?
I have tied to repair, uninstall and reinstall. The most I have gotten is the window for the cloud to open showing the program is there but it does not open at all.
How do I fix this on windows 7?no the Adobe cloud window opens..the links for the programs dont work on the Cloud screen. Its never happened before. I did find the program and after uninstalling and reinstalling it will come up in programs. But why it crashed fist of all and then why I had nothing at first, then the cloud window, then the program would go no further. All the other links work on my desktop. Just not the Adobe.

My Preview, suddenly, will not open JPG files. It will open a file if it is saved as a PDF, but not JPG. I have downloaded nothing nor installed apps as I am a Luddite. Does anyone know the deal? Thank you.
So ummm.....which app is opening up your PDF files?
If you want Preview to open your PDF files, do the following: Highlight your file>File>Get Info>
In the Get Info window, scroll down to "Open with:"
Select the Preview app to open the file.
Click the "Change All..." button if you want to "Use this application to open all documents like this.” -
I cannot access Firefox on my desktop.
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have an Epson printer on a Wifi network. Windows 7 desktop is running the network, and my wife's HP Win 7 laptop prints to it just fine. My MacBook Pro running Yosemite won't detect it, and I do have the latest driver installed. I didn't have a problem when I had a Canon Pixma on the network, but when I replaced it with the Epson nothing seems to work. I go to add a printer to the queue and only the FAX function of the printer shows up - not the WS-4530 print function. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Please??? :-)

Firefox is not open, will not open, but when I try to update or uninstall it says I need to close Firefox first. This is a common problem, as I have seen many posts with the same problem. I don't know what else I can say about it, it is pretty straightforward.

my imac will not connect to wifi what so ever. i have tried 3 different routers and all my other apple devices work fine. when i take it to the genius bar it seems to work with apples instore wifi. thus leading the "geniuses" to say nothing is wrong.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Take all the applicable steps in this support article.
Step 2
If you're running OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and take the remedial steps suggested in the summary that appears, if any. The program also generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.
Step 3
If you're not using a wireless keyboard or trackpad, disable Bluetooth by selecting Turn Bluetooth Off from the menu with the Bluetooth icon. If you don't have that menu, open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check the box marked Show Bluetooth in menu bar. Test. Continue if you find that Wi-Fi is faster with Bluetooth disabled.
From that same menu, select Open Bluetooth Preferences. If the box labeled Discoverable is checked, uncheck it. Click the Advanced button, and in the sheet that opens, uncheck the top three boxes, if any are checked. Click OK. Enable Bluetooth and test again.
If the application called "Bluetooth Setup Assistant" is running, quit it.
Step 4
This step will erase all your settings in the Network preference pane. Make a note of them before you begin, and recreate them afterwards. It may be helpful to take screenshots of the preference pane.

If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

CS5 Bridge will not open, Air will not install, and AAM Updater will not update. Please help!
I am having several problems with CS5, and as best I can tell they all seem to be related. I purchased CS5 about a month ago. Photoshop has opened and ran fine. However, recently AAM notified me some several updates available. When I tried to update them they all failed. This lead to the discovery that Bridge will not open at all, Air installs but with an error and cannot update itself or applications like Adobe Help, and since the AAM updater ran it now thinks everything is up to date.
I have search endlessly for every piece of information I could find on this issue. As well as, sat on the phone with tech support for hours. As best I can tell, (and really I have no evidence to support me), it seems to all be related to a permissions issues. However, I have tried everything the forums suggested with no luck, and Tech Support ended with me doing an Uninstall and reinstall (twice), while repairing permissions in-between. I am about at the end of the road with this issue and would greatly appreciate any additional suggests you could offer.
Some additional details.
Running a MBP i7, 8GB RAM, and MAC OSX 10.6.4
Bridge Issue,
When attempting to launch Bridge it simply returns an error "This operation could not be completed..." I tried the option click and reset method, no luck.
Air Issue,
Kind of works, but at the same time doesn't. In that in one of the previous installations programs like Adobe Help would not run. Now Help does run, however, when I go to update Air it says it completed successfully but then immediately gives me an error saying "~this may not be allowed by the administrator..." I also cannot update Adobe Help, it just sits and says preparing to update.
AAM Updater Issue,
This appeared to work fine until I attempted to install an update. It downloaded everything and then failed on the install. However, now it thinks everything is up to date, but nothing is.Well despite not getting much love on this forum. I was able to correct the problem. I tried every solution that google would produce on these issues. Ultimately it came done to permission issue. I was lead to this fix by a person on flickr that suggested permissions as the cause. However, his solution was to modify the permissions in the home directory root and apply them to every subsequent folder in the home directory. Although quick and easy, I felt this would lead to more trouble then it was worth.
I did some more digging and what I discovered is that all the permission of the Adobe folders in the home directory library (not the HD library) and the application folder did not match all the other folders in those areas. Some of the files in some of the folders did not match either. So I made them match (the ones that matched I left alone), and everything seemingly went back to working normally. It was a bit of a pain going folder by folder. Fortunately there where not many of them. About 8 in total, plus the internal folders. -

If not, try that to produce a "clean" install with factory defaults. Other than that there could be some specific system issues at play, but again, we'd need to actually know what system you are on...

I am looking at a hard copy of Final Cut Pro X online that says it is version 10.0.8 I have the latest macbook Pro and I am wondering if that software is compatible with my laptop? Do Hard Copies of Pro X even exist? Is it stupid to try and buy this?
Online where exactly? Post a URL. The application is only legally available for purchase as a direct download from the App Store. Or are you talking about the trial version?
