Just updated bios, need some help
I just ran the live update and updated the bios winthin windows. everything seemed fine. it reobot said cmos settings wrong. but, it seems to work. my guess is it needsw to go back to default bios then it works. is this right? cus i can't boot into my sata anymore. it seems the flashing bios goes back to bios default settings, and then i need to change it to the way it should be to allow me to boot my sata. does this seem right? everything went ok though right? flashing my bios? i am in windows now on my ata drive, im glad i dind't fromat it yet, otherwise i couldn't have booted unless i guess i change the sata settings. Is that all i need to do?
Yes, whenever you flash the bios you need to go in and check/reset all settings. Sometimes the defaults change, so the smart thing to do is write down all of your settings before the flash.

Powerbook G4 just Died. Need some help & advice!!
Hope there's someone out there that can help me. I was working on my titanium Powerbook G4 and it just shut itself down (no warning sounds etc at all) and won't re-start. There's no sound from it at all. Even the green power cable light has stopped working. But the little glowing white light at the front (on the lid release) is still glowing. I've tried removing the battery and re-starting but to no avail (although with the battery removed the lid release light still works!). It's just dead. No sound at all. Has anybody any ideas what caused this?
Is it a hard drive issue? - I've had hard drives fail before but the machine usually tries to boot up but this PBook is dead. Deceased.

If you mean you're trying to update your ios go to settings/general/software update. then you should see the latest ios just tap it and it will automatically update your ipod. If you're trying to restore your ipod (as it's not quite clear in your query) try doing it through itunes instead of on the device itself

Ok i have indesign CS6 and all files are stored on a 10.7.5 MAC server. This just started happening. When I open a file indesigns is creating a textfile in the same folder? I need some help on this.
Ask in the ID forum and be much more specific about your configuration. there could be any number of reasons why manifests, temp files or restore files are created.

Need some help! My iPhone 4 cannot play music through it's built in speaker, only with headphones. I also cannot adjust volume, it only shows "ringer". I really do not know when it starts. I already clean the jack and dock,reset it and still cannot be fixed. I updated it to IOS 7.1.1 recently only, does it have connection with the inconvenience I am experiencing right now? I am currently using an ipod touch 3. When i record in voice memos with the apple earphones(with an inbuilt mic) i can see on the screen that its recording;
but when i hear it, its just a long beep. Need some help!Does the mic work for other apps like Voice Control?

Please I need some help with a table
Hi All
I need some help with a table.
My table needs to hold prices that the user can update.
Also has a total of the column.
my question is if the user adds in a new price how can i pick up the value they have just entered and then add it to the total which will be the last row in the table?
I have a loop that gets all the values of the column, so I can get the total but it is when the user adds in a new value that I need some help with.
I have tried using but as I need to set the toal with something like total
totalTable.setValueAt(total, totalTable.getRowCount()-1,1); I end up with an infinite loop.
Can any one please advise on some way I can get this to work ?

my husand received a ibook from a customer as a form of payment for some work he did. It works but need some help trying to figure out some things any help will be appreciated. We received it with a admin password so i rebooted it with my new mac os x 10.5.4 to set our own admin password. I can connect to internet with my cable modem no problem however it will not let me open yahoo! it says not a supported browser so i click safari 5 to download and it then tells me that bill of materials is missing any ideas? when i load my mac os x disk it will not load just spins in tray all cds work so dont know why it won't run. Try repairing permissions.Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
And since you don't the original install disc, boot in Safe Mode to make sure the startup disk is ok.

What is Safe Mode
It occassionally tells me that classic doesnot have mac os 9 supported?
The original owner probably had the Classic environment installed (Mac OS 9).
For software updates, click the Apple Menu / Software Update...

Please i need some help time capsule and airport express wireless extender
hello everyone and thank you for looking at my post. i do need some help. i am not very good at the computer programing so i might not use the right terms. i have a time capsule that i just replaced an old pc type router with. i have a fairly large house and can not get wireless signal to the one end of my house. so i went to the apple store and bought an airport express after being told how its just plug and play and itll setup with my time capsule and waala iv just extended my wireless signal. well it did not seam to work that well for me. i have done all the setting up that was told me to in the book to do and i still have get to get a wireless signal out of the express i then hooked up an ethernet wire from the express to my girlfriends macbook. and what do you know now im seeing the express in my airport utility. but then i unplug the ethernet and im back to not seeing the express. what am i doing wrong and what do i need to do. please help me if you can. thanks alot.

Let's double-check your base stations' settings ...
o If practical, place the base stations in near proximity to each other during the setup phase. Once done, move them to their desired locations.
o Open AirPort Utility and select the Time Capsule (TC).
o Choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open the configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
o Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
o Choose “Create a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then select the “Allow this network to be extended” checkbox.
o Next, select the 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station (AXn) that will extend this network, and choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open its configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
o Choose “Extend a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then choose the network you want to extend from the Network Name pop-up menu.
o Enter the base station network and base station password is necessary.
o Click Update to update the base station with new network settings.

Service Pack 3 just updates your OS. All of your files, folders and programs will still be there.
You will start running into more problems like this the longer you stick with XP though. That particular OS is over 11 years old, service pack 3 hs been out for over 4 years.
It may be time for a system upgrade. I personally went from XP to Windows 7 and I haven't looked back one bit. -
Totally Clueless & Need some help!

I dont have any of the new functions im still running on the normal Safari not Safari4, I have tried to download Safari4 but it says "Safari cannot be installed on this disk, this update requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 or newer"

Its like it has installed SL.. but nothing has been actually installed properly!
