Just updated iPhone with iTunes and everything on iPhone is wiped and even says there is no simcard inserted.
I just updated my iPhone with iTunes from my Mac and the entire contents of the iPhone are wiped. It wants me to reconfigure from scratch but then says there is no simcard inserted so must have wiped that too? I have no Wifi where I am. iTunes will not allow me to access the iPhone either - it can detect it but as it says there is no simcard it wont read it.
Can anyone help I am soooo annoyed!
The switch from an available wi-fi network to AT&T's cellular network and back again has always been automatic and seamless with nothing special required - as the iPhone is designed to do.
If the standard troubleshooting steps do not resolve this, which in order are power your iPhone off and on, reset, restore with iTunes, the next step (assuming you are in the U.S.) is calling AppleCare at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

YOur phone is in recovery mode, any data that was on there is already gone, you will have to restore your phone and use whatever backup you to restore to.

Make sure you follow these instructions completely with the phone disconnected from the computer. After the reinstallation, reconnect the phone and it should load the new USB driver. -
My ipod touch 4g just updates today on itunes and the update caused more trouble than good for me. My ipod will no longer show me the battery percentage in the top right hand corner and I am not allowed to drag other applications to the bottom panel. Also my itunes doesn't allow "enable disk use" anymore. Can anyone help? My ipod now says that it's the 4.3.4 version

I have tried to update my Facebook app and it says there's not enough available storage to download it - I have deleted lots of apps to try and make more space but still not enough what can I do?
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

for the first time i bought this iPhone, i was enjoying it....i updated it with iTunes from older version to newer version and after installation when it was updating my iphone then suddenly message appear on my pc an error occurred.....n my phone is not working.... :-( what should i do?? m helpless...no support from any side....

i was trying to delete some songs from my ipod. so i plugged it into itunes and it froze. i help the home and menu button to reset it and now its stuck on the apple logo. i plugged it back into itunes, it updated the software i dont know if it restored the ipod. but now its stuck on the logo and it keeps going to the white screen and then back to the logo. what do i do?
Try restoring. Make sure you have a backup first.

I just tried to open itunes on my Macbook, and it says, "the file ituneslibrary.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes. I googled it, and someone suggested to change 'itl' to 'old', which I did. I was then able to open itunes, but nothing was there of my library. Have I lost my entire itunes library? By changing itl to old you made iTunes create a new blank library.
You may be able to use a previous iTunes library which are created when you update itunes. Therefore delete the current itl file, go to previous iTunes library folder, select the one that is most recent one before you made updates to iTunes. Move this to replace the one you moved to trash. Rename to iTunes library.itl then open iTunes.

I just updated the new iTunes and now all my playlists are gone!! What the heck?!

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
In the unlikely event that your media has been wiped from your computer see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

It no longer updates when connected to WiFi and it doens't sync when I plug it into iTunes.
Like Tiffany, I too get the same message when I try to sync my ipad. I have a library and so does my husband. Both libraries are on the same computer, created at different times, with different content. He has a movie in his library but it shows (as do his music, apps, etc) in my library. When we try to sync the movie from either library we get the message. How do we complete the sync and how do we seperate the libraries?

What does the message say exactly? Are you sure it's not telling you the phone has no more space?

They should be in itunes on your computer. Certainly you did not update before syncing your ipod to your computer. Just sync them back to the ipod, the same way you normally sync.
