Still cannot activate IMessage or log in with my Apple ID on iPad air despite just updating to the new IOS 8.1.3..any help out there? Tried all other fixes.

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

I had the same problem. In the end I downloaded it manually. Here's the steps assuming you are on a Mac and have an iPad Air (Wifi). If not you can find other restore links here.
In the terminal (it kept failing to download in Safari):
curl http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7.1/031-4521.20140310.D2Ydl/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Rest ore.ipsw >>~/Desktop/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Restore.ipsw
Once the file has downloaded, move it to ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates/
Quit and relaunch iTunes.
Should now work for you.

Have you tried resetting your ipad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

Adobe Air error message when using PSE 10

Also my MacBook is 5 years old, and I was thinking about purchasing a new computer. I would like to decide when rather than be forced though. Does anyone have any suggestions for a work around? At the moment I do not subscribe to the cloud, and it looks like that is the only way I can back up my iPad now.

Upgrade to Snow Leopard - it's compatible with the latest version of iTunes, and still supports PowerPC applications.

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

I have just updated my iPad to 6 iOS but my photos have disappeared and what is left are all blurry

I have just updated my iPad to iOS 6 but all my photos have disappeared apart from the ones taken on my iPhone or iPad but they are now blurry and don't come into focus
I have tried using iTunes to take then off and reload them but I'm still have the same problem
It tells me the pictures are restoring then it tells me they are syncing it has done this now for 2 days
Ay answers ?????

Error message when using Software Update

Hi everyone. I'm getting the following error message when trying to download some items via Software Update:
"None of the checked updates could be saved. A networking error has occurred: Cannot open file (-3001). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again."
This is for the following downloads:
iPhoto 7.1.4
iDVD 7.0.2
iMovie 7.1.4
Security Update 2008-005
Any ideas? I have no problems with Internet access at all. I'm running a new 24" Intel iMac 3.06 GHz with Mac OS 10.5.4

It sounds simplistic, but restart your computer if you have not already done so. I looked, but could not find that particular error code.

Can't update my iPad Air to iOS 7.0.6

I bought a new iPad Air WI-FI only its on iOS Version 7.0.4 and when i try to update it to 7.0.6
in the settings menu when its about half way through it sais something like sorry an error occured

I just updated my iPad 2 with iOS 6 and noticed my App Store icon is gone! What happened to it?

Yesterday I updated my iPad 2 with to the iOS 6. I cannot find my App Store icon! And even tried googling something (like Skype for ipad) where it will send you to the App Store to download the app and it wouldn't take me to it. What's going on?!

Check the Restrictions settings and see if "installing apps" has been inadvertently turned on.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
