Tap the Bookmark/Favorites Icon; select Favorites; tap on "edit" at the bottom right side of the drop down; tap the red circle with white line and tap delete for each favorite you don't want. Then you should be able to add your favorites in English, or whatever language you want. Hope this helps.

Normally, I would suggest restoring the iPad and uninstall and reinstall iTunes but you have done both of those things - more times than you ever imagined!
Have you thought about turning auto syncing off?
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
If you do this you can backup the iPad right away before it syncs. You may want to go into all of the iTunes tabs and just make sure that all of the current content on the iPad is selected to sync before you actually do sync.
This doesn't solve the problem, but it would prevent the automatic sync and erasing content. Hopefully, in the next few days- when iOS 5 is released - you will also be relieved of this weird iPad behavior - since the iOS devices are supposed to become PC free.
BTW - and this is no excuse for what you are experiencing, but I have found that some of the game apps that I had on my iPad turned out to be quite troublesome and after I removed them, my problems went away. I know that is almost sacrilege with regard to the Angry Birds addiction .... But I'm just saying ... -

Somebody pleaseeeeeee help!!! I have just done the latest iOS 7 update beacuse I have such little space I do it through iTunes on my partner laptop, it failed halfway through and I had to start it again it completed the second time and had to restore my iPhone which I backed up before starting. Now it's all done I am trying to access my App Store and it asks for my partners password to sign... I have gone to settings and everything is signed in as me. How can I change this???

I updated my phone to the latest software and when I went to check if it had finished updating it asked me to connect to iTunes. I updated iTunes to the newest software too and then connected my phone. My phone stayed on the connect to iTunes screen and then it said I had to restore my iPhone because it was in recovery mode and I can't use my phone at all and I don't really want to restore my phone as I will lose everything as I haven't synced my iPhone for a while so I wont be able to get all data back.
i got corrupted file and it could not do update via iTunes for IOS 7.0.4. I did update directly from my iphone. It got through perfectly; however, ONLY apps that were on the first page could be seen. The rest of the apps was gone. Also, everything such as icon is magnified so big like 1/4 of the iphone 5s screen. omg a scary moment came !
I could not do anything even I tried to shut down by power button. so I had to hold the home button and power button toghether to force it shut down. It did shut down and restore to it normal condition as before. Good luck to all with new IOS 7.0.4 update. -

No. If it's in recovery mode, there is no data left on the phone. If you didn't back it up before you started, the information is gone.

Hi everybody : ) Sorry to be meeting this way, but I just updated my IPhone 4 to the new 5IOS software. And now, when trying to sync my phone it is telling me.
"Iphone -insert name of Iphone here- cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found."
I have no idea why it's doing this and I would love to fix it. It's taking more an hour just to get the entire thing to sync and more than once sync to do so. I would love for this to not happen every time I try and sync my phone with new music or photos.
Also, my downloaded apps are not installed and won't install on to my device. Nor will my Itunes let me update my apps. It keeps telling me that there's an Itunes error.
Please Help me figure out what's wrong with my phone and how to fix it : /The only restore I can find is from 2010.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!
