Just updated to ios 7.1 and wanted to go back to ios 7.0.6
for some reason I didn't like the way ios 7.1 works specially to the battery life BUT when I try to restore am getting 3194 error and when I try the hosts fix am getting 3004.

Many people have discovered that doing a reset of all settings will improve the battery use problem. Use the Settings app.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will not result in data loss but you will have to enter all passwords again.
The update to iOS 7.1 seems to have turned on some things that the user may have not had on before. Go through your Settings carefully turning off anything that is not needed or wanted. Also check screen brightness as that may be turned up to the max as well.

HT6312 I updated to iCloud Drive prematurely and want to revert back to iCloud. Is that possible?

No, sorry. There is no way back. You can disable iCloud drive, but it will not enable "Documents in the Cloud" again. You can only wait for Yosemite to be released. See the links below:

Just updated to IOS 7 and two issues:
First when I connect my iPhone to my computer I get this error message:itunes was unable to provider data from sync services". I'm not sure what this really means...
The second issue is when I try to select "Manually Manage Music"
The iPhone "My iPhone" is synced with another iTunes libary on "MY-PC". Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library? An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."
So... I don't want to do that, but I do what to be able to Manage my music. I'm not sure what it means by being synced to another iTunes unless it means to an older version of itunes?
Anyone have any ideas?I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. I just updated to iOS 8 on my iPad 2 and due to a unforeseen error on iTunes I had to do factory reset. I was using my friend's iMac iTunes to download and update, instead of OTA. Now I'm unable to see my previously purchased apps (some even discontinued that I was hanging on to as they still kind of worked)... Even after I logged into App store on my iPad (tried restoring iCloud and iTunes but no luck, somehow there isn't any backup)! I checked my App Store updates/purchases and see nothing. A forum suggested I try buying it anyway and it will say I already have it and not double charge, but I don't want to take that chance as most of these apps are over $4. I have receipts for all my purchases. Please help!
When you do an update via a computer's iTunes the update process will backup the device (a backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings), wipe the device, install the update, and then restore the backup - the restore would look to pick up your apps, music, films etc from the iTunes library.
You've tried logging out (tap on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app) and back in and seeing if they then show in the Purchased tab, and you could also check to see if the apps are hidden from Purchased : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.
If an app is no longer in the store then you won't be able to redownload it. You haven't got copies of your apps in your own computer's iTunes library and/or on your backup of your downloads/library ? -
I just updated my iPad2 to ios7 and everything returned except my movies. Why??? I was trying to ADD a movie for my 5 year old and it said I needed a later iOS. Now he has ZERO movies!!!! Just great!! Can anyone help??
For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

I just update to iOS 7 on my iPhone 4s. The calendars on my iPhone are not keeping the information on the days that should be marked. The info is there in my iCloud on my computer, just not on my phone. Has anyone else had the same problem and what can I do about it? Is it at bug in the iOS 7 update?
What do you mean by "on the days that should be marked"? Are you calendar events displayed on the wrong days?

I just updated my IOS to 7.1 and now I can't open Microsoft attachments - I used to always do it. Help - I use my iPad for work and now can't see any attachments. I've tried opening straight into other apps and just get error messages, and I the mail preview there is just a grey screen telling me the file name and size. It worked fine until I did the IOS upgrade

Group messaging simply puts all replies in one conversation in Messages. It doesn't prevent the behavior you experienced.
My suggestion which would be much easier in my opinion, is rather than do a text, send out an email and use bcc: , which will keep the audience hidden from each recipient.
Otherwise, if you're determinted to do only texts, the only way is to send your message to one person at a time. You can of course copy/paste your msg each time which might be helpful. -

I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. I was merely trying to take a document I had worked on and open it in pages, but it said my version was too old. When I updated, it wouldn't load. Now I cannot do anything. I hope that the reinstall fixes it without losing everything. Please advise!!! Yes, I am in panic mode.

My dad and i,have the same icloud id,when i updated the software (to ios 8.1.3) i have my dad´s photos on my iphone.And want my photos back (i tried by restoring my phone from my last backup)but still have my dad´s photos in my device
And that's exactly the problem, because everyone should have their own account for iCloud. You can share an Apple ID for iTunes & App Store purchases, but you shouldn't do that for iCloud (Mail, Calendar, Contacts etc. ... ...and Photos). The problem of using the same account together could mean that only your dad's photos were stored.

Mid January, I noticed my Do NOt Disturb was working again, turning off during the day. Now, I just updated to IOS 6.1 and it's on all the time, is this going to get fixed?

it sounds like you were using iCloud. Go under Settings > iCloud and make sure the switch for Notes is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, turn it off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Your notes should sync up.

I Have just updated to iOS 8 and have lost all my Pages docs this is a huge disaster. Is there any way to get them back ? I hope that they are in the cloud but I have never used it to get anything back before. Can any one help. Is it possible to do this without a PC or laptop?
You really need to try this on a computer, not on the iPad.
Seeing how what is in the cloud is also on the iPad, if the content is not on the iPad, there is a good chance that the content is lost. But you can try logging into www.icloud.com in a web browser on a computer and log into your account and see if you can get into the Pages app. You may have to sign up for iCloud drive if you didn't do so already. Make SURE you that you read the blurb that will pop up in that window in iCloud for more information.
