It is not an option - suggest to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback

I have just updated to ISO 8 and my app icons are not displaying the correct icon but just a generic icon. Anyone had a similar problem?
That happened to me for a short period of time after I updated. It didn't do it with all apps, but it did it with a few here and there. Try a few basic standard troubleshooting steps. Close all apps and reset the iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
You can also try resetting all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
Hopefully it will be something simple, but don't rule out restoring the iOS software, if nothing else works, but start with this easy stuff first. -
Since updating ipad to 7.0.2 version in iPhoto's the av1 video icons are blank and difficult to identify. Can this be rectified?

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings -
Running Yosemite 10.10.1 with iPhoto v 9.6 on my iMac and i've noticed the icons within the left pane Source List (e.g.the Library Events palm tree icon) are not rendered in color but are b&w.
Might anyone know of a setting such that these icons are rendered in color?

Which iPhoto version did you upgrade from?
iPhoto '11 went all gray three years ago, with the 9.1.5 compatibility update for Mac OS X 10.7, when Apple introduced the new colourless GUI. Some of the frequent posters here like it, because the colors of the icons in the toolbar and source list do not distract from the colors in the photos, but it makes the icons harder to recognise on a small display.
You cannot enable the colorful icons again short of replacing all tiff images for buttons etc inside the iPhoto application bundle. That would be risky and had to be done over and over again, with each update.

Just updated my iPhoto via the AppStore to version 9.3.
Now, when I attempt to open, I get: "The library "iPhoto Library" is open in (null). To open this library in iPhoto you must quit (null)."
I'm using OSX 10.7.4 and haven't changed anything else.Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

I just update to iOS 7 on my iPhone 4s. The calendars on my iPhone are not keeping the information on the days that should be marked. The info is there in my iCloud on my computer, just not on my phone. Has anyone else had the same problem and what can I do about it? Is it at bug in the iOS 7 update?
What do you mean by "on the days that should be marked"? Are you calendar events displayed on the wrong days?

HT5271 The reading list icon will not work.
I can save to the reading list but but it will not open every time and just keeps getting worse.
Quit Safari. Disable bookmark synchronization, if applicable.
Hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Go to Folder… from the Finder menu bar. Copy the following line into the text box that opens, then press return:
~/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist
Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the Finder window open. Relaunch Safari. Your bookmark lists will be empty, but they can be recovered. Add a few items to the reading list. Test. Same problem? -
Just updated to version 4.35 via itunes. My icons are now massive making it almost impossible to do anything, even open up. Can anyone advise me how I can revert to normal font/icon size.
Try to double tap with three fingers on the screen to get back to normal size.
Zoom in or out: Double-tap the screen with three fingers. By default, the screen is magnified 200 percent. If you manually change the magnification (by using the tap-and-drag gesture, described below), iPod touch automatically returns to that magnification when you zoom in by double-tapping with three fingers.

just downloaded ios7 for my iphone4 &now when i enter safari it is in chinese or some other language how to fix to all english
thanks tonyTap the Bookmark/Favorites Icon; select Favorites; tap on "edit" at the bottom right side of the drop down; tap the red circle with white line and tap delete for each favorite you don't want. Then you should be able to add your favorites in English, or whatever language you want. Hope this helps.

As PC Settings are not opening I'm not able to check for the newest build 9878 to download and upgrade. WHAT to do WHERE pls. ? WIN+C opens the charms bar where I'm still able to select Settings and then "Change PC Settings" BUT it only
docks on to the tool bar ....Had a similar issue, fixed by running Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
and reboot.

I currently have iPhoto 6.0.6. I am no longer able to order books from this iPhoto. Can I upgrade to the next iPhoto without purchasing a new operating system?
This thread might help: what does this mean "We apologize for the inconvenience, but the ability to order books and prints is no longer supported in iPhoto 5. Please upgrade to a newer version of iPhoto to order these products.

It keeps saying that i need to choose a library to open. When i look for a library I find the iphoto in my pictures folder but it shows up as a folder not as a iphoto icon. How can I get it to use that library again?
It sounds like that Library is damaged. Restore from your back up is the simple surefire solution.

The little graphical icons are not showing for many of the items on my bookmarks toolbar.
I have a number of items on my bookmarks toolbar which have blank icons. At one time or another, they had the website logos in them. If I click on them, the website logo does appear on the left of the URL bar. Sometimes, it will then "pop" into the bookmarks toolbar and stay there. But for a great many others, this isn't happening. It's maddening, because I like to use the bookmarks without any text labels but with the icons blank this is impossible. Please help!

Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the Keep this iPod in the source list option does not exist in iTunes 7.
So the first thing you will probably want to do is let Apple know your feelings on the matter by submitting the form on this support page .
Done that? Okay then, so now you'll probably want to make the best of the situation by figuring out if there's any kind of workaround to deal with the matter.
The best I can come up with is suggest that you create a playlist dedicated to your iPod shuffle which, for discussion's sake, we can call the Shuffle Playlist.
Once you have created that playlist, when you connect your shuffle to your computer you can drag the Shuffle Playlist into your shuffle.
After disconnecting the shuffle you can get to work on modifying the Shuffle Playlist for your next update.
Note that you will have to manually clear the iPod shuffle's contents before putting a new Shuffle Playlist on it. -
I just updated my iPhone and my iPad to iOS 5.
Restoring the backup just worked fine as well as syncing the music and videos, but my Apps weren't synced at all.
With my iPhone I got it done, after I installed some of my apps using the cloud and suddenly the all were installed during the next sync with my iTunes. All the stored data of my apps were on the iPhone, so I didn't loose anything.
But with my iPad, this didn't work as well. I seem to have to install all apps by my self from the cloud.
But my major problem is, that when I connect my devices to my Mac Book Air, they are shown in the source list, but except for showing 'iPhone' or 'iPad' I see nothing. I can't configure any sync options, so I am not able to do change or do anything.
When updated to iOS 5 I used to restore the backup from before updating my iPhone/iPad in iTunes.

GermanyYou should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, particularly before any update or restore.
You should also be syncing your contacts to your computer regularly. They hsould be in whatever program/service that you have selected to sync.
If you have failed to do this, then they are very likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup.
