Just upgraded iPhone iOS5 & iCloud account not verifying
I just upgraded my iPhone and am trying to set up iCloud. It said to check my email for instructions to verify my account. The e-mail did not show up. It is the correct address. How can I get access to the iCloud if I can't verify it? I need my calendar, contacts, notes to sync!!! Thank you for any help.
You can also verify by signing in at My Apple ID. You'll receive an email prompting you to verify.

It's really been puzzling me, I've never logged in the Apple site on a laptop before - I have been getting the same message 'Unable to verify iCloud account' every time I try and erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. When I go to iCloud on my laptop and sign in using my Apple ID it signs me in. These are the same log in details I am prompted for when trying to erase all data/content from the phone. If anybody could point me in the direction that would be really appreciated. Thanks

Yes, I recently changed my Apple ID password - around 2 weeks ago when I bought the phone.
Does anyone know if you need to do the IOS update to be able to restore all data and content? I have not installed the new update on either of my iPhone 4S's yet.
The phone I am trying to reset was sold to me by a friend and when it was it had already been reset and it was on the language selection screen. -
I set up a new apple id and it was verified by itunes, but my icloud says it is not a verified id.
Last sunday I have been talking with an Apple advisor (support !) about this issue for two hours.
He tried every trick in his book, nothing works.
I have a valid Apple ID with a working password , but still
- I cannot reach my apps for update
- Icannot make an iCloud mail account (had one before )
- I cannot ise Apple TV
- my Wifi is still out of order (no hardware detected)
iCloud works on my iPad Air / + wifi
iCloud works on my iPhone 4S / +wifi
iCloud works on my Mac Mini /+wifi
I now connect to the net via ethernet on my MBA with local router and Airport extreme.
Please Apple , verify my MBA , or tell me where I went wrong. -

Apple will NOT help you.
The iPhone in your possession is in Lost Mode. That's why it has a number displayed on the screen. Nothing you do will make the iPhone usable by you, other than making some arrangements with the person whose Apple ID it is locked to.
Either return the phone to whoever you bought it from, make arrangements with the person who the iPhone actually belongs to, or turn it in to local law enforcement. You are likely in possession of stolen property, and I imagine the penalties for that in Egypt are similar to those in the U.S. -
i just upgraded to iOS5. I did not receive the info in my email to activate the icloud account. My email adress is not the same as my Apple id, but my correct email adress is indicated in my account and in the msg indicating to check...
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account and request another email.

Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you. -
Under the iCloud portion of settings on my iPhone, I have always gotten the message "account not verified". The email matches and is in fact the same for my accounts on iCloud and iTunes. Has anyone had this problem, and how have they resolved it?

im trying to set up icloud on my iphone 4s. when i select icloud in settings it says "account not verified" then a box becomes active saying check mail. I check my mail inbox but theres no activation email? any ideas?

Not receiving icloud verification email, have checked spam etc..phone is just saying account not verified, the address was linked to my husbands account but has been removed, prior to this it was saying it was already in use.
If i change to an old address it works fine but all my apple equipment uses a current googlemail address and dont want numerous ids
My itunes account/icloud account only shows this address, albeit on icloud its not verified
My husbands accounts dont have this address anywhere
Where is the verification mail going????All...sorted so thought i owed it to you all to update...
As suggested on numerous sites it was in my spam folder....but because i am using googlemail it was in the Googlemail Spam on my phone and online google account, the spam wasnt getting to my outlook account (where i was looking for it!!!)
As soon as i opened it there they were all 38 verification emails !!!!!

Hello, I upgraded my iPhone with latest OS and didn't setup my iCloud upon activation. Now when I go to my Settings and go to iCloud, I get a greyed out screen that says 'Account not Verified' 'Check your email for instructions', but none come??? How to verify the primary email address for your Apple ID
When you first create an Apple ID (using your email address) a verification email will be sent to that address. If you sign in to your Apple ID from the link in that email, the email address will be verified as the primary email address for your Apple ID. You can also resend the email verification if the email address is not verified:
1. Sign in to My Apple ID to manage your account information.
2. Click Resend under Primary Email Address.
3. Verify your changes by following the link in the email you will receive from Apple and signing back in to your account.

Receiving an account not verified message on ipad 2, iphone 4, and pc
I am receiving an "account not verified" message when I go to icloud on my ipad 2, iphone 4, and pc (all have ios5). It requests I check my email but I never receive one. My Appleid and password are correct because I can go to my itunes account and buy apps, music, books, etc. How do Iv verify my account?
This same problem is happening to me. I bought the Lion update, updated IOS 5 etc and no verification email ever arrives. When I initially try to sign in to iCloud, I get the "Account not verified" screen and I am told to check my email for instructions to verify. No email is ever sent. My ID and password work on all other Apple app's. Why not for iCloud?
I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. If you have an iPhone 3G as stated in your profile, it can not be upgraded to iOS 5. 4.2.1 is the highest possible.

you can see all apps you ever downloaded in your iphones app store app where you can redownload them for free
