Just upgraded my iPad Mini software and now it is stuck in a reboot and won't come on. Please help!

I just noticed that a software update was available. I think it was iOS7. Did not really take note of what it was. But now my iPad Mini won't come on. it is stuck in a reboot and has been that way for at least an hour. Just tried to attach a picture of the screen without success.
If it was a phone, I'd have taken out the battery and just reinserted it but I can't do that with the iPad.
What can I do??? Please help!!!

Much better to update your iPad's software while it's connected to a wall outlet via the cable and adapter that came with it. Do not update on battery power alone.

You cannot go back to an earlier version of iOS.
If you are having Wi-Fi problems I suggest going to some location that offered free Wi-Fi. Your library or a Starbucks perhaps. Does your iPad connect there and work well?
If your iPad works well there you can eliminate the iPad and it's iOS as the cause of your problem.
If your iPad still acts up when connecting to the other Wi-Fi sources I'd suggest a visit to an Apple store to help discover the problem. Be sure to make an appointment prior to going to the Apple store. -

Try resetting the Nano with it still connected to a high powered USB 2.0 port on your PC. To reset the iPod, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.

Not a great analogy, but this is a user-to-user forum, and Apple will not allow discussion of jailbreaking; if someone tried to help with jailbreaking the message would be deleted. However, if you have a jailbroken phone Apple will generally not block a discussion of how to unjailbreak it. The only problem is that not all jailbroken phones can be restored successfully; it depends on the method of jailbreaking (which I can't discuss without THIS message being deleted). -

I was restoring my iTouch and accidentally unplugged it and now it is stuck at the logo and loading bar under it. I can't go into DFU because the home button doesn't work. How can I fix it?

Just upgraded my iPad Mini to iOS7. Asking for a passcode
I've never given my iPad Mini a passcode.
I've just upgraded it to iOS7. The process never asked me for a passcode, either. Then, when I started it up after the upgrade, the first thing it asked for was a passcode.
I tried the usual "default" type codes, like 1111 and 0000 but it has now locked me out and says the device is "disabled".
Any ideas, please? How can I get this thing working again, and avoid the same happening again?

TomOK, success.
Used recovery mode and restored from the backup created as part of the iOS7 upgrade. This time, when the iPad started, it asked me things like whether I wanted Location Services on, and THEN said that if I wanted to use "Find my iPad" I'd need a passcode. On the previous start up, all these introductory steps were missing and the iPad went straight to asking me for a (non-existent) passcode. This is clearly an example of the installation bug mentioned in the Australian news item I posted above.
Anyhow, I now seem to be running, with no loss of data, just a fraught hour of my time.

Fan was making a whirring sound and now it sounds like the fan isn't turning at all? Please help!
I've had this whirring noise on the fan for a couple of weeks, I've vacumed it as best I can without opening my imac up but the noise didnt stop (like a whirring clicking noise with the fan, like it was stuck on something). I've booked it in to be looked at in the Apple store on Monday (soonest appointment avaliable), but I've just switched it on and the fan clicked a couple of times and then went quiet? Am I safe to use my mac? WIll it overheat? I'm scared to use it because the fan doesnt sound like its running at all now ? I've got 5 photo sessions and a wedding to edit and I may cry! Any help or suggestions would be AMAZING! Thanks in advance!

Pps I'm a bit rubbish with tecnical things so sorry if this is something obvious!Do 2-3 SMC resets and see if this takes care of the problem. If it does not then book an appointment with your local Apple Store to have it looked at by a Genius.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Sometimes your security software will block new programs from accessing the internet. Are you getting any alerts along those lines?
Sometimes Firefox will stall during startup and never display its window. In that case, you may need to manually "kill" the firefox.exe process using the Windows Task Manager before trying to start Firefox again.
You can display the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Esc. Windows 8.1 has a different display than Windows 7, so I have to go by memory. If you see a tab named Applications, check that one first. Then check Processes, and finally check Details. If you find Firefox or firefox.exe on any of those tabs, select it and End Process (or other action to shut it down).
After you are done with the Task Manager, try starting Firefox up again.
