Just upgraded to 8.1.2 and Brother scanner not recognized

I've been using Acrobat Pro v. 6.0.6 with the Brother scanner just fine... update to 8.1.2 and it is not available to select as an Input Device from the Acrobat Scan window. I went back to try the previous version of Acrobat ( I still have v. 6 on my machine) and it still sees the Brother scanner as it has all along.
I'm on an Intel iMac running 10.4.10.

It didn't for me. I have the Brother MFC 7820N with the latest driver which used to work fine with Acrobat 8.1.1 but now when I scan it just freezes after asking for the file to save to. I have to Force Quit Acrobat to get out of it.
Photoshop CS3 and other applications have no problems with the scanner.

Once I wrote my password, and for now on, everytime I start the session, another window advise me that "Java SE 6" is missing, due that, the computer can't run some "CS5Service Manager". If I try to install it, the download ends with an error. If finally, you skip the istallation, you arrive to the dock, but the menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't show up.
In addition, my trackpad doesn't works either. I can move the arrow but i can't click anywhere, probably because the option of clicking by touching is disabeled and I can't performance a regular click.
I'll be very glad if someone know what the heck is happening with my computer. Anyway, I'm going to the genius bar next Saturday. Thx!

Restart your PC, then restart your iPhone/iPad. Then once your computer reboots, connect the devices using the USB cable.

Just upgraded to 10.6.3 and now will not recognise old library

When I upgraded to 10.6.3, I got a message asking my to create a new Library. OK I thought Apple knows what it is doing. So I created a new Library - itunes1 and now when opening itunes it is itunes1 and empty of all music, podcasts and playlists.
How do I get them back? I am running windows 7

Actually thanks, have sorted it by deleting itunes and repairing, then whe nasked for itunes library not creating a new one - moron, just pointing it at the old one

I just upgraded to LR6 from LR5 and it will not load.

When I start it, the opening screen comes up along with the Library page. The last processed image is there but it's under the LR6 opening image. The small "Loading" dialog box is there, but it's not doing anything. I've rebooted, deleted LR5, rebooted and have let it sit for 15 minutes. I then click on Library and the upper part of the screen goes black and the mouse pointer turns into a circle and just sits. If I click again, the screen becomes a translucent white and that's the end. I get the "Program is not responding" dialog box. I have to close the program. I've done this several times with no change. Any ideas?

Well, I tried a couple of suggestions I got from other sites to no avail. Then I deleted LR6 and reloaded it....same result. I guess that means that I will have to contact support via phone. That doesn't make me happy and why? Because they will tell me to do this, that and there fore which should have been written into the software in the first place. I have a "regular" computer; a Win7 64 bit machine on which LR5.7 works just fine.

Upgraded to 10.4.10 and now device not recognized

I upgraded my iTunes and now I cannot use my iPod (5th generation) on my computers. I tried this on both my work computer (a Windows 2008 R2 server) and my Windows 7 Ultimate. I now get an error that no iPod is attached. I had tried uninstalling/reinstalling, every trick proposed. The iPod connection had been working before the new iTunes version.
I was going to submit a support request but I don't want to pay for what appears to be a bad software update!!!

Whoever you talked with doesn't know what they were talking about. The Mac's ability to detect the card has nothing to do with RF interference.
Try resetting the PRAM.
If that doesn't work, try resetting the open firmware. The procedure is
Start up into Open Firmware by pressing and holding the Command-Option-O-F key combination during startup.
At the Open Firmware prompt, type: reset-nvram
Press Return.
At the Open Firmware prompt, type: reset-all
Press Return.

I noticed the same problem after upgrading a few iPhones to IOS 8, all use the same Apple ID. However, I now notice when I go into Message and instead of selecting a person from my contact list, I start typing their name which brings up a list of people, some of which are not in my contact list and are on one of the other iPhones. There's a circle/exclamation point next to the name which I click on, and one of the options is to "Remove from Recent". How did these names get from one phone to another and how do I remove all "recents"? They do not appear in my contact list. Anyone see this?

You are only as young as you feel......
This is an example of how you can select the exact content that you want to sync to your device. You do not have to sync the entire iTunes library. You can pick and choose the music, apps, books and so on that you want to sync. This is using music as an example.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on only the albums or playlists that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
You can do this with apps, books, movies .... Whatever .... You have the freedom to sync whatever you want.

There is no fix. It simply means that the software is outdated. Adobe would need to release a newer non-PPC version that supports Lion. They may have done that already, I don't know.

i) From LR5.5, when I click edit with "Photoshop CC 2014" - it opens PS CC 2014 but doesn;t open the image
ii) Whenever I try and use Nik Viveza it crashes PS CC 2014 when applying the changes from viveza. I've checked that I have the latest version of Nik software. It was working fine PS CC
I'm now going back to CC until these can be resolved.

I was going to reply that I have multiple monitors and have had zero problems with Viveza used with PS CC 2014. Then I realized two things. One I didn't know if the OP was on windows or the Mac and, two, if the Mac was it a Big Cat or geographic system. The display characteristics differ greatly between the three systems.
It sure would be nice to have a one line signature specifying the poster's system available for use on this board.
Late 2012 i7 27 inch iMac with 32 GB RAM, 3 TB Fusion, OS X 10.9.3, 2nd monitor is Apple Thunderbolt.
