Just upgraded to Acrobat XI, but XI is not option to register the serial number

I have the serial number, I downloaded and installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, but when i attempt to enter the Serial Number it does not list Pro XI as an option?

Okay – starts to make more sense. I am not just upgrading, but also switching to a new computer. So now I probably need to deactivate on the old machine and then reinstall Pro X on the new machine and then finally do the upgrade.

I want to use Adobe Acrobat for the first time and I got a window for the serial number.
I had the wrong paper in my hand and typed the serial for CS5 which was denied.
I found the correct paper with the serial number for CS 6, but the window for typing it in doesn't
return to the screen.
I can see a getting started window flash by, but it doesn't stay on-screen long enough to read what it says.
I don't know how to get the window for the serial number for CS6 to be entered.

Hello Judy,
one way is to deinstall your CS6 in combination with a reboot. After reinstalling should CS6 start now with the registration mask.

I have just upgraded to firefox 4, but it does not load up when i press icon

originally, i upgraded directly frm firefox site and it launched. then after shutting down, it has not loaded up since. i have deleted the old firefox off my laptop and attempted to re-install, but no luck. it still does not load up.
i have windows 7, and see the spinning wheel (like it is doing something), but nothing happens.

Just for starters see if you can get Firefox going. Instead of double Left clicking, Right click on Firefox icon>Open.
If that doesn't work, try opening via Firefox in the Start Menu or Programs List. If that works try creating a new desktop icon.
Then you try to start Firefox in Safe Mode - Hold down the Shift Key as you double click on the Icon> don't check any of the boxes on the page that appears>Continue. You have now disabled all extensions and also Hardware Acceleration.
Make sure your plug-ins such as Flash are up-to-date.

If Firefox works in Safe Mode you have a culprit or conflict. If you are able to, you disable and re-enable extensions progressively until you find the problem. you will need to work your way through this -

I'm also getting the "invalid serial number", but I'm wanting to upgrade my 5.1 to 5.1.4 to take advantage of HDV 720p/24 support. Is the 5.1.4 update even an option still? I really don't want to be forced to upgrade to FCS2 and shell out $500, just to get this one feature that was included in a patch.
I went to the Registration page and it actually allowed me to register the serial number... (which I'm pretty sure I already had), but it still won't let me in to download any updates. Also, the email confirmation that was supposed to be sent has not arrived 20+ minutes later.

I believe that you have an upgrade version of Adobe Acrobat Pro, in this case it will ask for the serial number of the previous qualifying version.

Hi, I have successfully loaded my new CS6 Design Web Premier software onto my Mac. I am trying to also instal it on my daughters laptop. I have the dmg file, but when I run installer, I enter the serial number and it says its not recognised?
Is there a way around this? Please don't tell me I've just loaded it onto the wrong computer!

You mention in the title that you copied the dmg file. Do you mean you copied it from one machine to the other? If so, acquire the installation files the same way you did for your machine and install using that.
