Just upgraded to iTunes 9.1 and Airtunes no longer works

So I just upgraded to iTunes 9.1. Have external speakers hooked up through my Airport Express to play my music wirelessly over AirTunes. The Airport Express option still shows up in the dropdown in iTunes, but when I select it and try to play music, there's no sound coming from my external speakers. Internal computer speakers still work. I've already tried restarting iTunes, my iMac and AirPort. Any other ideas? Thanks.

I'm having the same problem with iTunes 9 and Airtunes now. Is there a solution to this problem? It's driving me crazy!
Since a week, I've been using an iMac, with external speakers connected to my two Airport Expresses. Airtunes used to work fine on my recently deceased Windows PC+iTunes 8, until I bought my iMac which came with iTunes 9. Tried downgrading to iTunes 8, but doesn't work, because then iTunes won't accept my iPod Touch anymore (only with iTunes 9).
Another weird thing is that iTunes 9 seems to mess up my playlists when syncing with my iPod Touch. Selected playlists won't appear in my iPod Touch, while other playlists do appear in my iPod Touch, but empty. It's now solved by adding some extra (irrelevant in my opinion) rules to the playlists, but it's madness that one has to go through all these efforts just to correctly sync your playlists. What happened to user-friendliness?
Anyway, if anyone has a solution to the iTunes9/Airtunes problem, please let me know!

For those who run across this therad and haven't taken the effort to make a backup here is another approach that should work.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Once I wrote my password, and for now on, everytime I start the session, another window advise me that "Java SE 6" is missing, due that, the computer can't run some "CS5Service Manager". If I try to install it, the download ends with an error. If finally, you skip the istallation, you arrive to the dock, but the menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't show up.
In addition, my trackpad doesn't works either. I can move the arrow but i can't click anywhere, probably because the option of clicking by touching is disabeled and I can't performance a regular click.
I'll be very glad if someone know what the heck is happening with my computer. Anyway, I'm going to the genius bar next Saturday. Thx!

I just upgraded to itunes 10.7 and i cannot add any of my existing itunes music to my iphone 4s

i cannot down load any music to my iphone after upgrading to the new itunes program. I see it show up in my phone but it is all grayed out and i see the sync icon in itunes and i get the error message from the iphone saying to check itunes for the selection did not sync. This ***** for i just got the new dave mathews cd and cannot get it onto my phone!

Right before upgrading to ITunes 11, I was able to add a movie clip (home video). Now, can't add any either!
BUT I noticed that when I went to "Recently Added" (music)...lo and behold there were the videos that I tried to add but I couldn't see them under Movies!!!. You are able to get the info on them and everything (same type and encoding like my old ones).
So to get access to them in a somewhat organized fashion, I dragged the new movie clips into a playlist so I can access them indefinitely until the issue in Itunes gets resolved.
I was still determined to get them into the movie category, so I went into "Music Videos" and "Edit" - "movie kind is" selected "Movie" and tried dragging my new movie clips (tried from both "recently added" and the new playlists) into "Music Videos". It looked like it dragged properly...but my movie count was the same - no success.
For now I am able to play my new movie clips from the new playlists or from "Recently Added".
Hope this issue gets resolved quickly.
p.s. There is nothing under "Home Videos" so it didn't accidently go into this category.
Anyone else see the recent adds under "recently added"??? If so, then this should be a fix and not something we need to reinstall....

Just upgraded to itunes 7.0 and want to add a new nano to my itunes

I just bought an additional ipod to take running. I have an existing 20gb Ipod that I bought last year that I had synced to my old Itunes library. When I plugged in the new nano, it made me download itunes 7.0, and now it kept all of my songs in my library, but it won't let me add just certain songs to the nano, or plug in the old 20gb. Can you have 2 diffrent ipods on one I tunes, If not, how do you make this work. I only wanted the nano to put a few songs on for running, as it is alot smaller, but I want to keep my old one as well. Please help me anyone. I'm running a marathon next week, and want to get this ipod working so that I can take it with me to the race.

Yes you can use one iTUnes for multiple ipods. Theres afew methods to doing this which is covered by apple(Link Below), but since both ipods are yours, you most likly want to keep the settings on the old ipod and select "Auto update SELECT" or "Manually update" on the new nano
New Nano
Connect it to the PC. hit the "Music" tab on the ipods summery page. here you can set it to "Auto update select" where you pick select playlist to put on the nano OR check "Manually manage music" so you can manually drag and drop songs (Or playlist) to the ipod in itunes.
Old Ipod
When you plug it in, does it list in itunes or in windwos under "My Computer" as ipod or removable storage? Does it show the "Do Not Disconnect" sign on the ipods screen when connected to the PC?

2. Rearrange songs within a play list by just dragging them to where I want them.

Ok, I've been researching this for quite some time today and found a thread in which there was a similar issue and it looks like its related to the use of a Wacom tablet. I plugged in a normal mouse and I can now move songs around freely within my playlists again. Hopefully Apple fixes this annoying little bug soon.

Now, whenever I try to open iTunes, it says "iTunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration." I've tried everything: I looked at my audio settings (but I had no idea what I was doing), I tried to repair the file, and I even resorted to deleting it and reinstalling it, BUT NOTHING WILL WORK.

Documents are not "PowerPC" or "Intel" or even "AMD"
Depending on what file format the documents are, you may find various programs that can open and edit them. But, without knowing what kind of documents they are, I'd have to guess if any of the iWork suite could open them. Pages can open Word .doc and .docx files. Numbers can open Excel .xls and .xlsx files. Keynote can open Powerpoint .ppt .pptx files. I don't know if they can open Appleworks documents, but I think I've seen positive remarks about that.

Airport Express and Airtunes no longer work error -15006

This is killing me, I feel at my wits end.
I have an airport express that has been in use for two years. I use it only for airtunes from itunes through my wireless network.
I have an apple TV that I added 2 months ago and use occasionally for airtunes, but mostly for all the fine things that apple TV does.
About a week ago, sometime after upgrading to Snow Leopard and before iTunes 9 I have completely lost airtunes connectivity. At first it was just the airport express, but today it is also the apple TV.
When I choose either speaker (apple TV or Airport) from iTunes it just tries to connect forEVER. Sometimes I get the error -15006.
What I have:
24" iMac running snow leopard (wireless)
13" Macbook Pro snow leopard (wireless)
Cisco Router WRT110
Airport Express version 6.3 (wireless)
AppleTV latest software (wireless)
What I have done:
Reset and reloaded the Airport Express a dozen times. It worked for a minute after I changed the settings to require a password, but quickly went back to the same symptoms.
The airport shows up fine in Airport Utility, but will not work for airtunes.
The Apple TV shows up in iTunes and syncs properly, but will not respond to Airtunes. I have checked airtunes settings in the AppleTV and it is on. I even tried turning it off to see if it would improve the airport to no avail.

Any advice out there? I've even taken bypassed my main Extreme base to plug the ethernet connection directly into the Mac desktop to do software updates that might have been missed by going through the Extreme and wifi. While it did install one security update, it didn't affect the Express units.
I'm wondering about firmware. I have checked over and over for software updates, and my system assures me that everything is up to date. However, I'm concerned that somehow I'm missing a firmware update. My Airport Utility tells me my Extreme is running on Version 5.7, and on the few times one of the Express units shows up, it shows as running Version 6.#.
Do I need to manually install a firmware update, and if so, how? I terrified that I will mess up the ONE wifi unit that is functioning.
Ironically, my Extreme base is the oldest in my batch-both of the Express units are newer than it.

JUST loaded Leopard from 4.11 and iPhoto no longer works

OK, I know I'm not a FIRSt adopter (lol). but I thought gpoing from 4.11 to Leopard was pretty simple. Wwell, I just did it and now I can't open my iPhoto app. It IMMEDIATELY crashes. Any suggestions?

Alright I updated to the latest operating system and suddenly when ever I try and load a game, start a new game in Neverwinter Nights 2 the game crashes to the desktop. I checked and the update didn't screw with any permissions I can find and I even checked in other logins. Now considering I was playing that game five minutes before I updated guess who I'm blaming for the failure.
My first question would be how can I fix this, the second question would be if I can't fix this is there an easy way to roll back to 10.6.2. As if a minor update costs me the ability to play that game, screw it.

Alright this is weird I tried moving the aspyr folder from my documents to the shared folder, the folder containing all the preferences, saves from the game,
Then of course the game simply couldn't find it and i was prompted to reenter the CD key, Even then it couldn't start modules. So I moved the folder back and suddenly it worked, games would load as would new modules.
Now one might say it was a permissions issue but when I first got the game I had those issues and it would crash when it started to try an unpack the module not simply right after hitting the load button.
So not only can I not explain the cause of the problem I can't explain why moving the folder then copying it back fixed it.

I noticed the same problem after upgrading a few iPhones to IOS 8, all use the same Apple ID. However, I now notice when I go into Message and instead of selecting a person from my contact list, I start typing their name which brings up a list of people, some of which are not in my contact list and are on one of the other iPhones. There's a circle/exclamation point next to the name which I click on, and one of the options is to "Remove from Recent". How did these names get from one phone to another and how do I remove all "recents"? They do not appear in my contact list. Anyone see this?
