Yes, that's it. I did try that before and then again after your response but still no luck. What I'm thinking is that the JS View 2.0.5 add on is not yet compatible with the new Firefox 5. If that's the case then I would hope that it will soon be compatible. The problem is that I actually use that every day and now I'm kinda stuck. Still open to any thoughts if you have any. I am willing to go back to Firefox 4 is that is still possible.

I've updated to Firefox 7.01, and now Flash Player 11 doesn't work, even though everything says that it's been successfully installed on Firefox. What to do?

I've downloaded Flash Player 11.0.1.152 for non-IE browsers from the Adobe Download Center, installed it all fine, says it's successfully installed even on this page:

But it still tells me to download it when I try to play YouTube videos, BBC iPlayer, etc. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit, though that shouldn't be a problem since the installer says that it includes both 64-bit and 32-bit versions (which should suit the 32-bit Firefox 7.01 just fine).

Problem fixed. Had to uninstall Flash from the control panel and then reinstall.

It may be that it is stuck loading. You will want to probably first attempt a Hard Reset (Home Button + Power Button for 5-10s until it restarts with an Apple Logo then let it load up) and see if this will get it working.

You can check that via Help > About Firefox and on the Help > Troubleshooting Information page.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

You have given us inaccurate info about your iMac.
The G5 iMac is all white and runs a IBM Power PC (non-Intel) CPU that cannot run any OS X version above OS X 10.5.8.
OS X 10.6- 10.9 all run on much newer Intel CPU iMacs that have aluminum enclosures.
Typically, mid-2007 models and later.
The iMac model you described can't possibly run OS X 10.9 Mavericks.

Upgraded to iOS7 on my iPad Mini and now the mute button doesn't work

I upgraded to iOS7 on my WiFi only iPad Mini and now the mute button doesn't work. It toggles between Ringer on and off and of course, there is no ringer on my WiFi iPad. Same thing happens in the control panel when I switch functions and try to mute the sound there. It used to toggle between Volume on and off. Anyone know how to fix this?

I would place the iPhone in a big bowl of white rice, rather than in a baggie. That's what my brother did with his iPod touch that got wet, and it fixed it. The iPod touch works perfectly fine now, and the bowl is better because while the rice soaks up any wetness or condensation, the openness of the bowl gives way for evaporation.
A good idea would also be to take out your SIM card, if at all possible. Put it back in when you're ready.

I searched this site for ios 7 and itunes store and found numerous others with the same problem, and several suggested solutions. One said that they had blocked all cookies and that was apparently the problem. I had done the same thing - blocked all cookies. So I set cookies back to "third parties and advertisers" and that solved the problem. Now the itunes store is working.

Just downloaded Firefox 23 update and now links that show up in my browser searches redirect to other pages

I downloaded the new update to Firefox 23 (I wasn't sure about it because it looked very weird and behaved differently) and immediately when I clicked on some (not all) of my bookmarks I was redirected to other pages I have never seen before. Also, when I used either Bing or Google search engines, when I click on one of the links given by the search I got redirected to those same odd pages every time. I closed Firefox and ran a virus scan, and even though it caught the usual number of tracking cookies and malware, they were all the same ones it usually catches. I could not find any strange extensions or plugins in the Firefox list, other than the plugins page now has a tab by every item that shows "always activate". Are you hearing from other people about similar problems?

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

TS3274 I just ran the os 5.1.1 update and now my Ipad 3 doesn't work

I downloaded the new os update today. I checked agreed on the licensing agreement. The update began to install. I had to step away from my desk. When I came back my ipad was flashing b/w a blank black screen and a screen with the apple logo. It did this for about 3 hours. I called my local apple store and they told me to schedule a genius session and that it was probably having difficulty rebooting. I tried to do a manual reboot myself by holding down the home screen button and sleep/wake button for 10 secs. Now my ipad acts dead and will not do anything. Any ideas? I have had my ipad for about 3 weeks and I am an apple newbie.

Try placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try restoring. Do that after the iPad is connect to a charging source for at least an hour.
