Just want to play wav fi
Hello all- - I simply prefer the audio quality of WAV files to MP3 and would be happyto have 30-50? WAVS on my Zen V Plus 4 Gb rather than 5000 or so MP3s.Even though the Zen V is listed as handling WAV files everywhere I look,I cannot get mine to play them. Creative Media Source only goes ashigh as 320k MP3s (which I guess I'll use if I have to--but is there someway to change the format to WAV?) and Windows Media Player saysit can't convert my ripped WAVs to the player's needed format. I candrag the WAVs directly to the player, but then they don't show up onthe display. Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I couldn't find a direct answerwhen I searched. Thanks Jason. I tried the Recording folder and I don't see the WAVthere. But I have to apologize for mis-speaking:I'm also trying to get the WAV format workingon a SanDisk Sansa C240 and I got mixed upremembering which player did which thing. The Zen shows the WAV file under Music, butwhen I try to play it I get a "Playback error"message. Then if I try to look at the WAV fileI've put under "Recoding" , I don't see it at all. I found the WAV files the Zen makes from theMic input are IMA ADPCM, while all my WAVfiles are regular PCM. I downloaded a trialversion of a file converter and convertedthe PCM WAV to IMA ADPCM and I couldthen see and hear an extremely garbled version ofthe song under the Music folder. I think there might also be some sort of taggingissue here, but I don't really understand it. Well, maybe I'll just have to settle for320kb

If your phone is offline, the ONLY way to find it is to look for it the old fashioned way. Your phone CANNOT be located electronically if it's offline.

Either they're being sent to a different email address, or got caught in a spam filter, or something's wrong at Apple's end. If you can't find the email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions, which can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.

I have a macbook pro 13" with intel i5 2.3GHz processor. I want to know if my mac will be able to handle Battlefield 3 smoothly. I just want to play without any lag (I'll use Windows vista on parallels). I don't exactly know how turbo boost 2.0 works either. Or if it'll help.

Mac says that the application to install Heroes of Might & Magic III "is not supported on this system."
Is there some kind of patch I can download so my operating system will recognize and allow this file? I really want to play this classic game.

If anyone knows, please tell me how I can just play my personal Ipod from my Imac at work. I DON'T WANT TO SYNC IT. I don't want to purchase some other Apple BS!

Just want to play the tunes in my song list (not playlist) in order like iTunes 10 and before.
No matter how I configure my iTunes 11, it plays all over my collection randomly. It also keeps populating this stupid "up next" list with random songs that I never selected.
I simply want to be able to, like in the "old days" lets say, start playback on the first song in my list and have it go down the list until I stop playback.
I have tried every on or off mode and combination of the repeat/shuffle/repeat same song buttons on both sides of the transport to no avail.
I'm talking such a basic function here that I bet someone is going to tell me to just "click this" and it will be like before, but for the life of me, I cannot find out how to either configure it to be simple, or even turn features that are causing this "automatic shuffle mode" in preferences.....

Like you I never use Up next So i Clicked on the up next icon and cleared its list.
Then to play an Album there are two ways
1) In Songs view View > Column Browser > Show Column browser
You have the usual options to add columns to the browser eg Artist, Genre, Albums
Then I select what I want in the browser. It shwos me a list of songs beneath in the grid. Double click the first one and it plays down the list
2) In Album View, Click on the Album it expands and puts two buttons to the right of the album. Play and Shuffle. They will only work within the confines of the Album
The same option works in the Genre View, Artist View and playlists
To get the overall interface looking more familiar
View > Show Sidebar -
My home base computer has been authorized to play music my friend has downloaded from iTunes. I can upload that music to my iPhone and play it on the phone without any issue. When I am at work, I plug my iPhone into my computer and play music through my work computer. But the music is not manually managed, nothing is being stored on that computer, it simply streams through to the headphone jack, allowing me to use iTunes as a control panel for the phone's music library.
I can play my own music just fine (because my work computer is authorized for my account). But I can't play my friend's music, because my work computer isn't authorized for HIS account. Nor should I expect him to waste one of his 5 authorizations on my work computer.
But why does it need to be so? If I'm already authorized to play his songs on my iPhone, then what difference does it make if it's streaming through my work computer or not? Why does Apple care, and why are my music playing rights being unnecessarily infringed? I am currently a very unhappy iTunes customer because of this.
We don't have to buy music from iTunes you know. If I buy the CD, I can upload it without any of these play rights issues. I can give my friend my CDs while he gives me his and all of this goes away. The harder and more user unfriendly playing music from the iTunes Store becomes, the less likely we'll be to buy it. This is a very simple fix. If my home base computer is authorized and I can put music on my iPhone, I should be able to play that music off the phone anywhere at any time, so long as I'm not making a copy. And I am not making copies. Fix this or we shop elsewhere.I spent an hour on the phone w/ apple support this morning. I went through all the trouble shooting and it appears everything is working fine...until you plug the phone in and try to use itunes. Then they put me on hold for 20 min. While they did this i had a guy at work who had an older version of itunes on his cpu plug my phone in. Voila! It popped right up in iTunes. Their product specialist told me to uninstall and reinstall iTunes 8.2. Didn't work. Then they told me to uninstall and reinstall an older version of iTunes. That way I could get music on my phone, but I would not be able to update to the newest version of the iPhone OS. That's great and all, but it really hasn't solved any problems. I'm giving apple the benefit of the doubt due to the fact they just released the newest version of itunes, a new iphone, and a new iphone OS; so there's bound to be bugs and fixes. But that goodwill probably won't last to long. So if they won't fess up to the fact there's a problem w/ the new iTunes soon and fix it I guess they're going to have to give me a new phone.

I want a song purchased on my ipad with my apple id downloaded onto our home mac mini. So i can listen to it via that computer. However the mac is registered to my husbands apple id and it comes up with a message about 90days wait needed or something. What does this mean? And how do I get one measly song downloaded?!

It sounds like you are trying to change your login in the Tunes store through iTunes on your computer, which you can only do once in 90 days, which you don't need to do for this.

Playing wav file through my bluetooth?
Is there any way I can have wave files play through my bluetooth headset(Jawbone)? I'm not looking to play music, I just want to play my voicemails that I receive through email as an attachment.
Any help?Hello, I am having the same problem. We have a Curve 8330 with a Jabra T5330 bluetooth device. The device works great when using it with the phone, but we use Unified Messaging for our voicemail and need to listen to .wav files delivered via email. These .wav files do not come through the bluetooth device. Do we need a different headset (one that supports stereo perhaps) or is something configured incorrectly on the Blackberry? If I just wanted to play games and surf the web, would a VGA adapter or an AV adapter be better? For my iPad 2? I asked my family for a VGA adapter for Christmas and I'm not too sure if it's the one I want. Also, what is the difference?

My iBook constantly wants to play Chess with me!!
I have a G4 iBook that is a few years old now. It still works great but can be a little slow sometimes and the battery doesn't last long when it's not plugged into the wall. But get this: I will be working along on the laptop on the internet or iTunes and the Chess application will open on it's own! It's been happening for some time now. I thought it was just a little quirk and ignored it. Lately it's been happening a lot. Sometimes the application will open, I will close it, and then right away it will open again. Sometimes when I've had enough I will just leave it open and continue working on other stuff, and the application will come to the front above my browser or whatever I'm working on. Chess isn't in my dock so I'm not clicking on it accidentally. It seems to happen when I use my mouse more. Pretty weird, and sometimes I get creeped out by it. Does my iBook just want to play a game with me?

I was going to suggest that you quit the process; see how it goes. If the 'perp' did his job properly, though, it will probably restart next time you reboot. Keep your eye on it.
Are you able to select the 'Firewall' tab in System Preferences>Sharing? If you get the spinning beachball for a time followed by a pop-up telling you that the Firewall is being managed/controlled (I forget the exact wording, it's been a long time...) someone may have installed a firewall management app like NetbarrierX, Flying Buttress, etc. which would have allowed them to open ports of their choosing unbeknown to you.
Without disclosing anything that could further compromise your security could you elaborate on the 'protected network' and who set it up?
You say: "I'm not entirely sure I want to uninstall it because the Chess mystery isn't too annoying." The chess thing is only a very small part of it, whoever set up the VNC could be seeing everything that you are doing on the computer. You might like to check the tower for applevncserver too... (VNC stands for Virtual Network Client, that should tell you something.)

When you say tit only sees your music folder, are you saying it only sees your music folder or does it see other empty folders. -
Since upgrading to Yosemite I cannot get directly to Netflix. I get a to Netflix and there is a big message about having to download/install Microsoft Silverlight. I can't get that to work and don't want it anyway. I just want to open Netflix and play the movies. What should I do?
