    I sit here day after day, checking every once in a while the comments and posts/ and about all the people screaming they have this problem and that problem with thier new phones.
    Well, I'd like to be the one to say- I LOVE MY DROID X !!  I have had no problems with my phone AT ALL !! If I have a problem on making it do something, I take the time to research it and get it solved myself. This phone is a DREAM COME TRUE!

    I too am really, really happy with the phone.  It is my first smartphone.  Service on the phone is phenomenal, sound quality, picture quality! 
    I am a little shocked at how people are throwing temper tantrums about shipping time, availablity and minor issues.  It's technology and electronics people!  When it is mass produced, there will be lemons!  People are acting like 3 year olds "I want it now!  I don't want to wait!"  Really???  You can't wait one more day or one more week to get something that is in high demand and they scream about how bad VZW is and how terrible the service is.  I truly believe that VZW is doing everything they can to provide great service (as usual) and within reasonable timelines and human capabilities.    You think VZW will hurry up and call you because you write a little rant on the forum???  Why would anyone hurry up and contact someone who has a screw loose and is looking to pin someone to the wall?
    It is disgusting how people act really.  I have had lemon phones before-- and if you call nicely and have your issues logged they will work to resolve the issues the best they can.  Its electronics people:  might want to keep one of your old phones on hand just in case something goes wrong and you have a back-up while you get your fixed or replaced.
    My favorite saying:  You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. 
    I took 3 minutes out of my day to write Customer Service and thank them for the help that they provided me in the upgrade process-- they did go out of their way for me to upgrade-- and I let them know that I appreciated that. 
     From one really happy Verizon customer to another, lets all take a few minutes to send a quick message and let them know what went RIGHT with your transaction!!!

    I have only had my Q10 for 24hrs however i love it!!!
    Like all new things it will take a bit to get used to due to no track pad etc. Its just a matter of taking the time to play with it & using this forum for any questions/info if you are unsure of anything.

    I was using the Z10 for a few months until a new Q10 fell into my lap. Until that time, I was loving the Z but I've since fell in love with the Q.
    Both great phones!

    I usually dont post on forums, but I thought I would comment on OS4 that we all got today.
    I think its great (could of been much better, but better than nothing), I love the new features and the "look", seems like my battery life is a little better but now.
    All in all the whole update thing went great and I love the new phone, hope for more updates in the future.

    Sorry it has taken so long for someone to reply to you. What you want to do is go to Settings > General > Siri > Raise to Speak OFF.

    If your phone is out of warranty you will be given the option of buying a new phone or getting one with an out of warranty replacement, which is cheaper that buying a new phone.

    Well I found nothing wrong in your post. So why even make a statement like the quote I included?
    Once more I am a retired government employee. So I have the time to post. Or has my rights been taken away to voice an opinion?
    Your posts was great you were not whining about your rights to file complaints to the FCC or FTC etc. One of the best I have read.
    And I am not trying to sway you from your phone choice. If you looked at my avitar it shows apple iphones. But I use and have used androids and not Windows phones.
    However your numbers of windows phone users all leaving over the issue is miniscule in the number of users of Android and iOS devices.
    I have written many times I wish all the devices get updated like iOS devices do. But at present that is not happening
    No bashing, no adversarial post just a little common sense is all I use.

  • Surprise Verizon - I just want to say thanks.

    In the past, I and many others, have complained about the time it takes Verizon to get a device update. I presently have the Nokia 928 and I was pleasantly surprised with the latest AMBER update. It came on the day it was released for most other devices across the world.
    I did the upgrade; love the new capabilities. Had no problems updating.
    I assume that the ease of update was caused by Verizon having not to do the long testing cycle as in the past. This should give you as a company, reason to jump on the Windows Phone train and push harder to sell this product line.
    Just wanted to say thanks for the timely update and look forward to the next one.
    By the way, the 920 users on AT&T are still waiting for the AMBER update as of yesterday.

    it's so nice to give something like that back to the devs (not that i am one, of course)
    I kinda felt like that too, but i came from ubuntu with a 3 month gentoo sidetrack ^^

    You're all going to think I'm just trying to curry favor (maybe. maybe....) but I just wanted to thank everyone here who chimes in on posts. SharePoint is a big product and I learn more about it every day, even when I don't want to ;)
    This has been an essential resource for me, especially when I feel like my back is against the wall.
    Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to the SharrePoint 2010 Setup, Upgrade, Admin and Operations forum for often being the light at the end of many tunnels.

    WOW. I had the same problem with AT&T. Just wasted $99.95 on their "5-Day Guarantee" that provided me with jack squat.
    I am running my Westell modem in bridge mode, plugged into my Extreme which is connecting to the internet thru PPPoE. Everything works fine, but every few days the Extreme disconnects from the PPoE server, and I get the error message via the Aiport Utility: "This Apple wireless device is set up to connect to the Internet using PPPoE but no PPPoE server can be found. Make sure your internet provider requires that you use PPPoE and then make sure the modem is turned on and connected to this Apple wireless device's WAN port and try again. If you still can't connect to the server, contact your service provider."
    This happened last Sunday, and has been working fine until i came home from work tonight. I unplugged and restarted the modem, Extreme and iMac. Played around and nothing worked. I called an AT&T service tech, and they said that I need to call Apple to get the proper settings for the Extreme to correct this dropping out problem.
    In my Airport Utility, under the internet tab, i am connecting using PPPoE. Am i supposed to be connecting using the "Ethernet" setting? Under the PPPoE tab, i have connection is "automatic" and disconnect if idle as NEVER. The IP address, subnet mask and router address are all filled in automatically and uneditable. I have the DNS servers of AT&T entered and no domain name. Under the DHCP tab, i assume that the address of the Extreme is entered: 10.0.1.2
    DHCP lease is set to 1 day.
    Under the NAT tab, i have Enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol checkmarked.
    I am wondering if any of these settings are causing some random difficulty with my Extreme to not be able to connect thru PPPoE. As i was on the phone with the tech tonight, all of a sudden the AE connected thru the PPPoE. I dont know why it had difficulty for a few hours not connecting when it has been connected all week. Any thoughts would be helpful!

    This is often due to faulty battery. Make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple Store for free quick battery diagnostic testing.

It was then I learned it wasn't my problem but a system glitch. So thanks again for fixing the problem not too many hours after that.
