Just wanted to give a shout out to exceptional customer service!

What started out as a bad experience was helped and eased a bit by exceptional customer service.  After being put on hold for at least an hour by the "Senior" technical support (again) we were fed up with Verizon and in November once our contract was up we are going to look elsewhere.  But Jonathan (employee id removed)  the Supervising Customer Service Rep was extremely helpful and went above and beyond in trying to assist me in my technical phone issues.   He was professional, patient and very understanding to my situation.  Jonathan and his staff provided me with not only satisfactory service but EXEMPLORARY customer support.  Thank you!

    If you click on the person's name, you go to the public profile they have posted.  If there is an email address given you can email directly.  If not, you cannot email the person directly.
    You could post a reply to the persons reply on the communities to note their help.

    You can use iCloud to lock it if you had that set up. Otherwise, the only thing to do is report the theft to the police. You may want to contact your homeowner's insurance to see if it would be worth filing a claim with them also.

    I have an old iPhone 4 that finally stopped working.  I have an unlimited data plan and want to keep it.  When I called customer service, I was told like in the past that if you purchase the new phone at full price, you can keep your old plan.  However, after some time on the phone i was told by the csr and supervisor that their system is not allowing them to complete the transaction without changing to a limited data plan.  I was told to try going to a store and buy the phone.  Same thing happened.  Has Verizon changed something and not told their employees?

    Seems like people having this problem are those coming from a phone that doesn't have a nano SIM card...so when Verizon issues them one they end up changing their plan. No clue why this keeps happening but stay on top of them. As long as you initiated the request for your plan to be reinstated within the 14 day time frame they should put it back. Interested in seeing how this plays out. There is still one phone in my house that hasn't been upgraded (an iPhone 4). I'm hoping when we do upgrade it at full retail they won't mess with her unlimited data plan

  • Ios5 transition went okay on my iPad2!  I just wanted to give people some encouragement.

    What steps did I follow?  First I updated all the applications in iTunes.  I then eliminated all the apps I no longer use.  I took an extra precaution in that I de-clicked the folder of photos that I synced with the iPad2...my theory being I can always re-synch that later and it reduces what needs to be transferred, backuped, etc.  I then Sync'd my iPad2 with my computer in order to have the latest backup.  The only error message was that it couldn't transfer the new versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote because they required a different version of the operating system (i.e. ios5...which makes sense).
    I then asked it to check for to see if there was a newer version of the operating system available, and it reported there was and whether I wished to download and install...which I said yes.  The download process started and the dialogue box estimated the time to download as 7 hours.  I turned off the light and went to bed.
    This morning when I came back there was a dialogue box asking me to resolve some conflicts between the computer's version of some addresses and those on the iPad.  I clicked through these, making choices, and then simply followed the onscreen prompts on the iPad2 to complete the process.  Once completed, everything came up 'normal' on the screen!  I opened the Settings app and went to iCloud and made my choices there, including starting Photo Stream.  All went well.  I checked my contacts...all good.  I did choose synch and backup using the cloud and re-checked the photo folder that I wanted to be connected with in Aperture.  I then did a Synch and all the photos were restored to the iPad (much quicker synch by the way!).
    So I just wanted to share this with everyone with the hope that more and more people will have this experience.  I think my overall advice based on my single experience is, clean up your systems, de-link things like photos, maybe music, and clean those off your device with a synch before you do the conversion.  In other words, I tried to make what needs to move as small as possible to reduce the potential for glitches.  And then...don't watch and let the system perform.  There may be a tendency to pull the plug in the middle of a long process and that is almost always problematic.

  • Verizon is incapable of hooking up my DSL...I just want to give them money, but it's impossible

    Tech support is no help. I've spent 4+ hours with them on my cell in the last week. I'm now two weeks past my initial activation date. I'm supposed to call yet again and re-create my DSL order for the THIRD TIME! I figured I'd blow off some steam here amongst my peers since email to Verizon IS NOT AVAILABLE IN MY AREA! **bleep**?!
    All I want to do is hand over money every month to Verizon. In return, all they have to do is flip a switch in my apartment building to turn on my service. If I could use another company, I would, but Verizon has my complex sealed up. Nice of them.
    Oh well, maybe I'll have a "talk" with a Verizon truck next time I see one.

    I would just follow the instructions from this article to give your unused 4s to your spouse. Since you have already started using your 5s, you will still be receiving iMessages on that phone and will have no need to receive them on a device that has been replaced.     Sorry for the long intro question.  I just bought a new iPhone 5S for me and a new 5C for my wife.
    We want to give our kids my old 4S and my wife's old 4.  We backed up our old phones and restored
    our info to our new ones, but when we connect our old phones, they still show all our songs and iTunes
    settings on them (along with the same names as our new ones).
    We want to set up our old iPhones for our kids to be able to have their own names on theirs so that
    when we connect to my iTunes computer, it sees each phone accordingly, and has only the songs
    that they select (whereas I want to keep ALL my songs in my iTunes account on mine, not just some).
    How do I do this?

    Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.

  • Don't know what I did, but now can only view my mail as a list ... have to open each email individually... Help! lol  just want to return to the normal window configuration, but can't figure out how to do that!

    I don't know what I did when I was checking my emails, but somehow I ended up with a large window that displays a list of the emails but not the content of the selected one like before, unless I open each one individually... I tried shutting down, hoping that the email app would restore through some default setting, but it came back the same way... It's probably something simple, but I watched all the tutorials I could find, and there isn't any mention of how to configure the email window.
    I played around with the toolbar, trying to figure out how to restore the original window, but nothing worked. I can sort things in many ways that I couldn't care less about! I just want the old setting back that shows the window where the upper half is the latest emails and the bottom half is the opened email that is high- lighted.  Help!
