HI. When I plug in my charger and use my macbook, I feel some kind of roughness on the body. It feels like some current flowing around it. Need help please.
My 2006 MacBook Pro and my 2011 MacBook Air both do it. It happens because the earth ground stops at the power brick and is not carried through to the case of the machine. It is not dangerous or the machine would not have been UL approved.

Just wondering what Apple's stand is on the issue with a flickering and a dark area appearing on imac 27"screen - forums seem to indicate this is not uncommon - and happens through normal use - so should be subject to repair (Sale of Goods Act - ie 6 year warranty)
We are just users like yourself. If Apple has stated publicly about the problems you mentioned, it will be listed on their website and/or in one of their Knowledge Base Articles.
I have a 27" & do not suffer from such a problem. You should keep in mind that these are technical support forums. Generally, the only people posting here are those with problems. The thousands/millions without problems don't ever come here.
Think of these forums as a hospital emergency room. -
My MBpro has been running some kind of app in the background upon turning on, heating up for no cause. Is this normal since Snow Lepard? It's been updated and I also have anti-virus software too.

also check activity monitor - all processes - see what's using up most of your cpu resources under % CPU....
highlight anything that's really high and hit quit process......anything over 10% is considered high - unless it's your browser....

You can go to icloud.com, open Mail, click on the gear shaped icon on the upper right and choose preferences, go to the Vacation tab and set up an auto response saying that the account is no longer in use. Then go to Settings>iCloud and turn Mail to Off on your device and stop using the account.
Incoming email to the account will receive your vacation auto response, and eventually the mailbox will fill up and no longer receive mail at all. -

Some kind of UDML on the catalog
Hi,
we have changed the names of our subject areas. This impacts the existing reports based on these SA (message that you don't have access to the SA (previous name) or that the SA no longer exists).
To resolve this, we have to change the XML of the report where we have to change the old name of the subjectArea with the new one.
Is there some kind of UDML available to do this on all existing reports or some other technique to do this in bulk?

The helpfulness of answers is limited by the details provided. Just saying it does not work, or I got an error does not provide much to go on. How is it not working? What happens or does not happen? Is an error returned? If so what error. Are you sure you are logging in with your home sharing ID? It is not the same as your Apple ID or iCloud ID.

I have a desktop MAC OSX Leopard. I want to upgrade to Quicken 2007, install Snow Leopard, download iLife'11. I heard that Quicken and Snow Leopard can clash..........that is why I am upgrading Quicken. What would be the best order of installing these products. How to Install OS X Updates Successfully
A. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
Boot from your current OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. Then select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
B. Make a Bootable Backup Using Restore Option of Disk Utility:
1. Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
4. Check the box labeled Erase destination.
5. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the
Destination entry field.
6. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the
Source entry field.
7. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal
startup drive.
C. Important: Please read before installing:
1. If you have a FireWire hard drive connected, disconnect it before installing the
update unless you will boot from this drive and install the update on it.
Reconnect it and turn it back on after installation is complete and you've
restarted.
2. You may experience unexpected results if you have installed third-party system
software modifications, or if you have modified the operating system through
other means. (This does not apply to normal application software installation.)
3. The installation process should not be interrupted. If a power outage or other
interruption occurs during installation, use the standalone installer (see below)
from Apple Downloads to update. While the installation is in progress do not use
the computer.
D. To upgrade:
Purchase the Snow Leopard Retail DVD.
Boot From The OS X Installer Disc:
1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple
logo appears.
5. Wait for installer to finish loading.
6. Follow instructions.
After installing Snow Leopard you should update it by downloading and installing Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1. -

I bought a new iPhone 4 last month, totally fell in love with it untill there was this problem regarding the apn disappearing. I manually added the apn info and it worked fine for some time but soon after I disabled the mobile data/3g connection and enabled it later I always use to get a msg saying "Could not activate mobile data network" even after it being active( 3g symbol always used to be poped up at the top). Though the apn is filled with a valid data it shows me the same msg over and over again. It some times works on rebooting but the rebooting the handset everytime i want to use the connection sounds very pestering. Hi there just wondered if anybody had lost sound through the speaker
Upgraded to I OS5 and lost all sound through the onboard speaker it plays but to sound from it unless I plug it into the headset or into the IPad key board dock (genuine IPad product). Have been in touch with Apple and tried all their suggestions to no avail.Came back with "my IPad must be faulty". If so then why do I get sound through the dock and headset? any ideas any one!! Did they have you check to see that Settings > Side Switch is set to Lock Rotation and not Mute...and if Mute, then switch it back and forth to make sure you are not on mute?
If not on mute, it might be time for a visit to your friendly Apple Retail store and have the genius bar folks have a look.
