"jvm not found" on tunes transfer install----PLEASE HELP

hey all! very new to mac ownership (been using my new pro for only a few hours now!) and im trying to install tunes transfer to get all my jams from my pod to my new machine, but i keep getting the "jvm not found" error. how can i correct this?? im not very technical so if anybody could explain this to me in the simplest way possible i would greatly appreciate it! thanks in advance!

The only Tunes Transfer I can find is a Windows app, but assuming you've found a Mac version somewhere...
The error means it can't find your installation of Java. My first guess would be that TT is looking for an older version of Java than the one that's installed on MacOS X these days.
Since moving music from iPods back to computers is not supported by Apple, I won't recommend any alternative applications by name. But you might try googling for iTunes spelled backwards

JVM not found when trying to install NetBeans

Hi all,
I'm a new SUN Certified Java Programmer and I would like to use NetBeans IDE. j2sdk1.4.1_01 seems to be correctly installed on my system (Windows XP Home Edition) (I can see the little Java animation on the download section of this site) and when I run the NetBeans installer I got a message that says "no corresponding JVM found" :'(
My Java teacher has told me to create a JAVA_HOME variable in the system environnement variables and to give it the value "D:\j2sdk1.4.1_01" (Windows XP and sdk are installed on D:\). I've done it but... nothing!
Does anyone have a little idea on how to solve this problem???

Actually, I think the phrase "No JVM found" means the JRE environment has not been setup properly. Most suspicious point is that Tomcat 4/5 doesn't recognise the location of JRE on some Windows platforms. Default location of JRE is C:\program files\java\... and you should notice that there is space in the path which may not be acceptable by some install wizards. You are recommended download a separated copy of JRE and install it on a recognised path, such as C:\J2RE\ . Remember, you should uninstall the previous copy of JRE cobundled with J2SE package before taking any action.

CNA 6 InstallShield Wizard will not install with a JVM not found message

I ran CNA 5.5 up until last week when Java 7 71 update hit. When I tried to launch, I received JVM Not Found, that was all. So I figured it was time to install CNA 6, however during the install process I now get a pop up box stating InstallShield Wizard will not install with a JVM not found message. No other error messages, no logs, and the installation ceases. Tried installing CNA 5.8.9.1, and CNA 5.5 again, all stop at the same point with the same message. Anyone else see this issue?

When you start Network Assistant, Java determines whether the resources it needs are available. If they are not, Java displays the message Could not create Java Virtual machine, and the session ends. To overcome this problem, open the file C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\CiscoSMB\Cisco Network Assistant\startup\startup.properties (the default installation path), and modify this entry:
JVM_MAXIMUM_HEAP=1024m
Replace 1024m with a lower setting that does not exceed the available RAM. There is no way to foresee what value will work. Try 512m , and lower it further if necessary. You can use the dial peer tag range 2500 to 2999 out-of-band to define your own dial peers.
If the Network Assistant InstallShield wizard fails to start, it is likely that the temporary folder location defined through the environment variables TMP and TEMP has some problem. Assigning a correct temporary folder location can fix such problems.

I installed jdk1.5 in window XP. and run a symple program(success).
And then i tried to install Netbeans 5.0 or any other version,
I am getting error that JVM not Found.

Yes....It happens all the time. I also erased my HD and installed Snow Leopard but with no success. Tried lots of REBOOTING but nothing worked for me.As I have already installed the new OSX I think there is no need to go through the below procedure. What do you suggest?
Before you go through the ritual of reinstalling the entire system just try to do a "factory reset" of your bluetooth environment. To do this you need to run the Bluetooth Explorer which is a utility installed as part of XCode.
1. Launch Bluetooth Explorer.
2. Select the "Modify Software & Device Configuration" from the Utilities menu.
3. Keep the first 4 checkboxes checked (one will say "Full factory reset").
4. Click "Perform actions" button (lower right of window).
5. Reboot (possibly the Reboot NOW button will work, if not just do a normal reboot).
Hopefully that will clear your problem(s) so you can re-pair your bluetooth devices.

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.

Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.

It's a built-in app, so it can't be deleted nor downloaded from the store. If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Camera being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

What iOS version does it have?
As has been said, Facetime is banned in some coutnries and so is not available on iPhones and cannot be insatlled.

Have you attempted to reset the SMC? That would be the first step. Hold the left control, option, shift key and the power button for about 5 seconds and release. Then try to reboot. Might as well reset the PRAM as well. Hold command, option, P, R on start up until the machine restarts. If that doesnt' have any affect we'll have to dig deeper into a potential hardware failure.
If this method doesn't work, check the webcam that will tell the problem is on the iSight & WiFi cable. If your webcam is ok, then it'll be the WiFi card problem. Hope it can help ;-)

You can also use the OS X Lion installer from the Mac App Store to create an external bootable drive, complete with a Recovery HD partition. See this article for more details.
