JWindow closing with ALT F4 leaving child components help please.....

I come acrossed one problem i.e i have my main application as JWindow and a button and when i click it iam getting an JOptionPane/JRame/JDialog and set modal if its dialog and set modal through window activate and deactivate if its JFrame the problem is when i click on JWindow and press ALT F4 my JWindow is closing leaving the child Component (i.e JDialog/JOptionPane... etc)now i want to not to close JWindow if there was any dialog,optionpane opened any ideas/views/sugesstions please suggest...

How did you created your frames / dialogs?
You must give the reference of the JWindow instance as owner for your child frames...

I opened my iPod Touch up to fix my home button. When i closed it back up it had a white screen. My bluetooth keyboard (Macnus brand - bought recently in Thailand)(similar to Mac small keyboard) will pair with my iPad using code 8310,and is recognized by my iMac but will not pair?
There are very scant instructions with the keyboard and no mention of any code (the code was prompted by my iPad).
I have followed the instructions but it still will not pair with my iMac!

I have been unable to find any website for the maker, but have looked at several Thai/cambodian sites incl <http://www.buycoms.com/Article/8435/index.asp> which mentions the keyboard being suitable for tablet or windows. No mention of iMac! although the box is branded to indicate Mac compatable.
I'm thinking that maybe it just will not pair with an iMac.
Ill keep looking for the maker website, which might come on later in the future? maybe?

I changed my itunes password only and now I can't update any of the apps I downloaded using the old password. I tried signing in with the old password with no luck. Can someone help please?
Have you signed out of your iTunes account on the device/computer that you are using and signed back in with the updated password ? That should 'refresh' the account on it, and you should be able to use the account's new password to download updates to its apps

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases. -
I cannot get .arw or jpeg files from my Sony A6000 to be taken into my Lightroom 4.4 via the normal "synchronise" process. I have updated my Pc to Adobe RAW/DNG 8.4 with no improvement. Can you help please?
With regards to your .arw files:
You need to either purchase and install Lightroom 5.4 -- OR -- download and install and use the FREE Adobe DNG Converter version 8.4, did you actually launch and use the DNG Converter?
There should be no problem importing JPG files into Lightroom from your camera, what happens when you try? Is there an error message? -

There's a new driver bundle for OSX 10.6 that you might need to install, the HP link seems to be failing at the moment but there's a version of it here: HP_Installer_Scanjet_v2.4.3_Ph4.dmg

Force iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times. -
The mail application on my I-Mac dates all emails, in or out, as 5th (of whatever month it is). It seems to get the time right.
The computer clock is fine. I have no problem with my MacBook - just with the I-Mac. Any ideas, please?OK Vicky, good clues...

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

Issues with a email server migration - URGENT HELP PLEASE
Hi,
My online company uses TB and we recently changed our email server provider to resolve a serious problem we were having with the previous one. Both servers (old and new) are IMAP.
The problem is that since we have made this server migration we are having a lot of strange things happening on TB such as:
1. When I mark a email read I can no longer mark it as unread. I've tried to click on the little ball, to select 'Mark as unread' by clicking on the right side of the mouse, etc and nothing!
2. When I reply and forward an email the reply and forward arrow is not showing up so sometimes we don't know what emails have been done
3. Sometimes the emails are sent and don't show up in the sent folder. So we need to put our own email in BCC to be sure that they have been answered.
The guy who organised the server migration suggested us to move to outlook, but outlook is not resolving the problem either. On top of that it makes our computers as slow as snails. I'm on a free trial with outlook that will expire in two days and I want to go back to TB as I find it much easier and straight forward.
Has anyone have a similar issue? Can someone HELP please?

WiFi no longer working with new Time Capsule-can you help please?
Hi all,
Just received my new Time Capsule (TC). It was a little problematic setting up, but probably due to my now choosing to increase my security from WEP to WPA as the TC set-up assistant suggests. Since then, I have had numerous problems getting my other computers and now my iPhone to connect with WiFi.
The problem is that despite entering all the new settings and WPA passwords for my connection with the TC, the iPhone will either momentarily recognize and go to wifi or simply stay on Edge.
On the former, with wifi active, as soon as I go to iTunes, Safari or check email, it reverts to Edge. On the latter, despite resetting, entering password, or tapping Settings and selecting my wifi connection, it will NOT connect and stays on Edge.
(Now, I'm on Edge! I'm bummed that with new hardware I have new problems that didn't exist before!)
Can someone who had this same problem tell me how they resolved it.
Here's the one clue I have, but would rather not resort to: When I first set up the TC, I had it on WEP with a WDS Network, and everything was working great and FAST! Now that I have increased the security—I will be backing up 3 computers to the TC—my iPhone and other computers seem to have intermittent or no wifi connection as a result.)Irving Gonzales,
If your computers are 802.11N capable, you might want to try an advanced setup that might help your Time Machine speeds some. I have not personally tested it, so it is just a personal theory at this point.
First, in a mixed environment the 802.11N clients all get slowed down.
First, configure the TC for 802.11N only.
Second, connect the Airport Express via ethernet to the Time Capsule
Third, configure the Airport Express for bridged mode (doesn't give out IP addresses), and for its own wireless network with a different name than the Time Capsule.
Have any 802.11b/g clients like the iPhone join the Airport Express' network.

please can anyone help< i am trying to connect to my broadband wifi at home with my ipad. i have a pc also which has connected no problem, hence i can ask this question. i tried to connect at my daughters using her broadband wifi and it connect ed first time, it is recognising the network talktalk but i am unable to get a connection. I am worried it is my ipad that has been corrupted and i wonder if i can reset it......
help pleaseTry rebooting you iPad first. It's easy and it will not hurt anything.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
How to setup 2 iTunes Libraries with 2 different HD locations? HELP please!
I am so confused how this is supposed to work! I've searched all over the forums, Apple discussion board, and support section, and the only thing I can find tells you how to press the Option key when loading iTunes. DUH! That's the easy part! But how in the heck do you set up the libraries? Why is this not documented anywhere?
So basically I have a MBP, and ALL of my iTunes stuff is on an external USB hard drive. What I would like to do is have that external hard drive REMAIN as my main library, the one I sync my iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, etc... but would like to COPY my music files only (about 35GB) to my MBP on the internal drive, so I can have all MUSIC files with me. I would not sync with this library, just play it on my laptop on occasion. Isn't this do-able?
Where I am having trouble is this: I held down Option, loaded a brand new library, and figured I need to go in the Prefs and tell it where to get the music files, so I noticed it showed the external drive there. I changed it to my local folder, hoping that's where I would copy the music files to, but then noticed when I loaded iTunes and the MAIN library, it automatically changed my iTunes location to the new local drive I just set for the other library. This makes no sense to me as if iTunes forces you to have only ONE choice for the source of the files, what's the point of multiple libraries? I want a different location for each of the two libraries!
Clearly I don't have something set right, or I am missing a step. Can someone please help me ASAP?

One more thing - what's the best way to copy my music only, to my local drive after setting this up? I tried opening iTunes and selecting all of the music files and dragging it to a local folder, and it got stuck for about 30 seconds then didn't do jack. I don't get why I'm having such a hard time with this.I'll go play around with the Input Currency and the output currency.How can i play around in specific?

Funky and annoying issues with my ipods harddrive, can anyone help please?

this is the first time ive been to an ipod support forum, ive tried everything and this is the last resort please help!
ive got a 4thgeneration ipod (non-color) and this is my 4th one, after a random period of time (between 4 weeks to 2 months) they all break. The hard drive starts making crazy sounds, randomly the unhappy face appears and eventually you lose everything, im not having a great experience with this product and apple refuse to refund saying theyll just replace it with another one (3 ipods later its still not working)
It hasn't been abused, i've treat this one like it's worth its weight in gold and its barely been moved since i've gotten it (mostly been using it for temporarily storing files). I unmount it (safely eject/remove hardware) before unplugging it and do everything by the book.
This time it's gone beyond what normally goes wrong..
As a last resort i tried restoring the ipod to factory settings, something must have gone wrong during this process because now the ipod is convinced that it is just a 400meg drive, is there anything i can do to restore it to its full 40gb?
formatting just gives the option to format it to 400meg, fdisk wont work because its a USB disk, same thing with partition magic.
any ideas?
im desperate lol! also, if not, what are the chances of convincing apple to refund me so I can get an iRiver?
having said that, my friend has the exact same model and has had it about 7 months without any problems, maybe im just unlucky!
id prefer to repair it rather than send it off again for another refurbished model, any ideas?

not sure what you mean sorry!, I used the ipod updater tool to restore it to factory settings.
Apologize for that one, I somehow assumed you tried to reset it with holding "menu" and the center button or via "settings->reset to factory setting" in the iPods menu.
i've tried formatting it with windows but it only allows me to format it to the drives 'maximum capacity' of 400megs, fdisk for linux tells me the maximum partition size can be 400megs also
Well, that might be the thing you shouldn't have done. The iPod must be formatted with the Updater! Other programs (like Windows Explorer and Partition Magic) mess up the iPods firmware.
As the "400MB" appeared after the Updater treatment, the drive surely is messed up. Try the latest Updater once again. If this doesn't work out, you could run chkdsk and use the Updater afterwards.
If there's still no avail, you would have to send it in one more time. -
Between my external drive and my internal drive I have 3 Library.xml and Library.itl files. (There was a situation where I had to rebuild for some reason)
Should the "Library" files reside on my internal drive or external drive? In my ~/users/username/Music/iTunes/ directory? If so, can I delete all current versions of the Library files and just rebuild by holding down the shift key when starting iTunes and choosing an option? Which one? Would they end up in the correct directory? Sorry if this seems confusing but everything works fine with my iTunes EXCEPT I can't access iTunes in other iLife/iWork programs.
I should mention I have the same problem with iPhoto (on external drive; not populating in iLife/iWork, but works fine by itself) I know, not the right discussion, just thought I'd mention it.If the iTunes Library.itl file is also on the external drive, try launching iTunes while holding down the Shift key, and when the dialog window opens that allows you to create a new library or open an existing one, choose to open an existing one, navigate to the folder that contains that library file and select it.
If that works, note for the future that if you launch iTunes when that external drive isn't mounted, iTunes will default back to the normal location on the internal drive and you'll have to repeat the Shift-launch process.
