K 210 windows 7

Do I need to update drivers and anything else
I now have window 7 as my op system

I know your solution! This happened to me. Look on your keypad. (mouse) In the top lefthand corner there should be a little circle. If it's glowing (I think orange) it is locked. Press the dot gently with your hand (it may take a few tries) and it should stop glowing. Now your computer should be as good as new!
Hope I helped,
Maddie

  • Hp 210 windows update not working

    HP 210 1032 Cl   Hard drive failed.  Machine is appx. 5years old and the recovery CD's were from tht same time.  Installed new WD 320 GB hard drive and used recovery CD's to reinstall Win 7 32 bit starter.  All is working well EXCEPT windows update.  Keeps coming back with message "service not started", etc.  Have tried downloading new drivers from HP for the Intel atom, etc---but still no luck.   Any guidance appreciated!

    Hi @ned-m
    I regret that the link did not resolve your difficulty.
    What was the results when you tried resetting the updater per the document in the link?
    Did you run  MS Fix It, if so what was the result.
    Here is a link to  Troubleshoot problems with installing updates .  If none of the above has helped, I would try doing a Windows repair.
    I would try a Windows repair or reinstall your Windows.  Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 7)

  • Geforce 210 + windows 8.1 = death ?

    Estimate HP team:
    Im facing a very rare problem with my video card
    My computer is this:
    http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03517270
    windows 8.1
    and my video card is this:
    http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3913#sp
    ( now there is not one drive installed from NVIDIA )
    is not the first time I‘ve installing this video card, now the difference is I reset the pc as fabric conditions.
    The last time the problem was update the driver; but now the pc  don’t want to even start when I install the video card.
    Is not totally death, I can see the lights, all the sounds BUT DON’T SHOW ANYTHING ON SCREEN.
    If I unplug the video card all pc start normally without any problem.
    I know is a very problematic video card but has been working normal until I reset the pc
    This video card has been installed from +/- February 2013
    Hope for any help
    Kind Regards

    Hi:
    You need to disable secure boot and enable legacy mode when you install a video card on a PC that originally came with W8.
    If you reset the BIOS to its defaults, it has renabled secure boot and disabled legacy mode.

  • 210 MINI

    I have an HP Mini 210  Windows XP Microsoft 7, The test says Replace Hard disk 1. I need a recovery zip drive.They won't sent me one.  I have another HP mini. It crashed under warranty and they sent the recovery zip drive. Sadly we lost it. Can anybody help

    Hello kk59. I understand that you need to restore your operating system but lack the zip drive/discs to do so. Is this correct?
    Have you tried to use the build in recovery manager to accomplish this? Using this method you do not need any discs. Follow these instructions and let me know if it helps.
    Have a great day!

  • Webcam won't start anymore

    I'm using HP Mini 210, Windows 7 Starter. The last time I used the built-in cam was 5 days ago. I used it to record a video. No update has been made ever since, but now that I wanna use it again, it won't start. It doesn't show any image when I open the default webcam software, "HP Camera". Even in sites such as webcamtoy, it only shows up blank. The light near the webcam lights up, the cam doesn't seem to work.

    Hello PepNisperos,
    I understand you state your HP webcam is not working, is that correct? I will be happy to help  you.
    I need to get the product number for your HP Mini, if you look at the bottom side there should be a sticker with product number or P/N. Here is a link that will hopefully help you locate that tag/sticker.
    Please respond back at your earliest convenience.
    Thanks

  • Cross Fade Playback

    I dont seem to be able to get this to work on my Nano. I have the correct software. When I click the check box on the Itunes software, it simply does not fade the songs in and out. Any ideas? Does the Nano support this feature?
    Many thanks.

  • Stage vs NativeApllication.nativeApplication.activeWindow.stage

    Hy, I have one awkward problem... first, what is the difference between NativeApllication.nativeApplication.activeWindow.stage and stage ?
    So, I have a windowed application that first thing it does is becoming is closing the window and opens another one so it won't appear in the taskbar. Next it creates a variable named database that creates a Table (if it doesn't exist) and dispatches an Event("TableCreated"). After that it reads some data from the table and dispatches another Event("DataLoaded'). My strange problem is that in order to work my addListeners() function must look like this:
    private function addListeners():void
         stage.addEventListener("TableCreated", eventLoadData);
         NativeApplication.nativeApplication.activeWindow.stage.addEventListener("DataLoaded", eventDrawData);
         NativeApplication.nativeApplication.activeWindow.addEventListener(Event.CLOSE, eventCloseApplication);
    So why must I use stage.addEventListener for the first one and NativeApplication.nativeApplication.activeWindow.stage.addEventListener for the second one ? If I try anyway else it doesn't catch the dispatched event...
    private function createChromlessWindow():void
         stage.nativeWindow.close();
         var options:NativeWindowInitOptions = new NativeWindowInitOptions();
         options.type = NativeWindowType.UTILITY;
         options.systemChrome = NativeWindowSystemChrome.NONE;
         options.transparent = true;
         var window:NativeWindow = new NativeWindow(options);
         window.x = Screen.mainScreen.bounds.width - 310;
         window.y = 20;
         window.height = 210;
         window.width = 310;
         window.stage.align = "TL";
         window.stage.scaleMode = "noScale";
         window.activate();

  • Disk Utility: "Modifying Partition Map"

    Good Afternoon all. Im not sure whether this is a problem or not but i have run disk utility to partition my hard drive, and as of now it has been running for over 24 hours.
    700 Gb Hdd Partitioned at 487 ( Mac OSx ) and 210 ( Windows NTFS )
    The 210 was partitioned by Bootcamp and xp is installed and runs fine
    I am attempting to partition the 210 by 55 to allow for the inclusion of Vista
    I ran Disk utility yesterday around 9 or 10 and since then it has been saying modifying partition map.
    i dont believe it's frozen or has stalled because it responds and i have burned a disk using disk utility. however if i attempt to close it it warns me of damage.
    so my issue is whether or not i should just wait it out or if there is something safe i can do. Additionally if installing vista there is a bad idea i would like to be advised.
    Thanks In Advance

    It's most likely stuck and not going to finish. I experienced this once while creating a new partition for testing purposes. Force quiting will loose any unsaved changes including a partition that's being modified but it looks like your only option at this point. It should not affect your current Mac partition however I'm unsure if it will affect your XP partition. Boot camp works well but in general I would say it's not a good idea to try and re-size or split existing partitions that have data. To do what you want to do you could use Boot camp to create another partition but it would only take the space from your Mac volume. You would probably have to backup or make an image of your XP system then start over using Boot Camp to create the 2 partitions of the size you want.
    FYI: You would probably have a better chance getting an answer for this question over in the Boot Camp forum.

  • Problems with Nvidia GeForce 210 and windows 8.1

    Hi all, I have Windows 8.1 Pro update 1 64bit installed, two weeks ago I started giving problems graphics card NVidia (even has me
    given several blue screen).
    I tried to update the drivers for the card but I got the same problem. It was working properly with generic
    drivers, and if I went to Computer Administrator me a yellow triangle appeared
    on my graphics card and the properties told me the following:
    Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.
    (Code 43 )
    My machine is as follows:
    Mainboard : Asus P5K SE
    Chipset: Intel P31/P35
    Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2400MHz
    Physical Memory : 3072MB (3 x 1024 DDR2- SDRAM)
    Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT
    Hard Disk : Seagate ST3320620AS ATA Device (320GB )
    Monitor Type: LG Electronics L1919S
    I just formatted
     the computer from scratch, and
    I still had the same problem with the graphics card,
    so I imagined it would be a hardware problem
    and bought NVIDIA GeForce 210.
    In the end I
    upgraded to Windows 8.1 update 1 with
    the latest drivers for the GeForce 210,
    and after 6 days running everything correctly, a few days ago
    returned to give me problems,
    the screen sometimes freezes and will not
    let me do anything and after a while
    giving me a blue screen and reboots
    me, I suspect that the graphics drivers
    are giving me problems, and I had to
    disable the graphics card and work with
    generic drivers from Microsoft, and even then I
    was restarted once.
    I installed Driver Booster and all the drivers are updated.
    Could
     anyone analyze
    dump files dmp ? Download here
    I got another dmp:
     C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP  but it is too heavy.
    Thanks

    yes, I check the dump files
    this cause by graphic card, on which graphic card you reformat your PC and update
    .NET framework maybe cause this driver corrupted
    my suggestion is try using internal graphic card, just for testing
    Just in case you don't believe me, please check this dump file

  • Brightness doesn't work in Windows 7 on Mini 210 HD

    Hi,
    I've bought a Mini 210 HD a month or two ago, and i promptly removed XP to put Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit) on it. This has worked more or less OK, but ever since upgrading i have been unable to use the brightness functions of the lap-top in any way. Not only can i not adjust the brightness with the hot keys, Windows will not dim the screen when i remove it from the mains or leave it to idle, and although i can move the brightness slider in the Power Options control panel, it has no effect. (Currently it is on the lowest setting in Windows, but the hardware is still on maximum brightness.)
    I have re-installed the Intel chip-set drivers and the HP keyboard drivers a half-dozen times, these don't seem to be the problem. There is also nothing relevant listed in Windows Update, and there are no problem devices listed in Device Manager.
    Is there anything i can do about this?
    configuration:
    HP Mini 210 HD
    Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit)
    Intel GMA 3150 driver 8.14.10.1972
    Microsoft x86 ACPI driver 6.1.7600.16385

    Alrighty, Here ya go! I had this problem also. Got my HP mini 210HD and put Windows 7 on it right away. Brightness wouldn't change, function keys didn't work, brightness slider did nothing.
    Solution:
    Make sure you download the graphics drivers from HP's website, not Intel's. The brightness setting won't work with the Intel graphics drivers.
    Get "Intel Mobile Graphics Driver for Microsoft Windows 7" from HP's website.
    I have Windows 7 32bit, so I downloaded this: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-78614-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...
    This should work for you Ohkine.

  • Install windows on my HP Mini 210-400, dont work because no driver?

    Hello,
    I tried to install a new Windows on my (titel) HP mini 210-4000, so if I start the installation and come to the Harddriver selection, pick a driver, windows said, that AHCI-driver are missing.
    In the BIOS of this Netbook I can't change the Harddrivermode tho IDE, because I don't have this option......-.-
    What have I to do now?

    Try it again.
    BTW..What is the complete product name and product number of your mini. At the end of what you posted there are characters missing. It helps us when we know the exact hardware configuration and we can get that from the product number.
    This time use the installer to delete the existing partition create a new partition and format it as NTFS.
    Download the Intel Rapid  Storage software on another PC and extract the SATA AHCI drivers. You can use either Winrar or WinZip to do that.  If you do this ,then you can install the AHCI drivers that you wanted to install before at the F6 install drivers stage of the installation. You will have to go into the registry and check a specific key later on after the install.
    You may have to do this a couple of times til it works. Sometimes it takes practice. It is actually pretty simple to run a dual boot of Windows 7 (32-bit) and Linux (Ubuntu)
    Best regards,
    erico

  • 210-4125 will not boot when windows 7 x64 is installed

    i have posted this problem a while ago "210-4125 will not boot when windows 7 x64 is installed"
    hoping that some one new might have had the same problem
    HP.......................................HP MINI PC  210-4125

    acording to INTEL the cpu is X64 bit, but the bios will not let a X64 boot up only a x32 bit ?
    and i get a message on black screen  "you are trying to load an opperating system not compatable" or some thing like that
    it would seem that the bios is the problem and not the CPU ? the 08 bios update only covers x32 bit and not x64
    if any one out there is running x64 bit windows 7 on the 210-400 range of netbook   can you tel me

    thank you George
    i will bear that in mind next time
    i see that you work for HP ? do you have any suggestion's for my problem ?
    as i mentioned before the notebook works faultlessly when X64 windows 7 is installed via the OEM disk in the external DVD drive , but if i disconnect the DVD drive it will not boot, but gets stuck in boot loop , then if i connect the drive with any windows installation disc loaded in it , it loads perfect and works perfect even if i disconnect when loaded  , but i can not keep the drive connected ?
    i have tried to use a USB flash drive to install X64 windows 7 but it comes back that the present CPU is not compatible ??
    when it clearly states on Intel web site that it is and it works perfect when loaded ?? even the Windows update manager confirms that it will run all X64 windows OS
    i understand the the bios "InsydeH20" is a very difficult bios to work with, and that Insyde have blocked the "hidden menu" via software ? i have exhausted all the software functions to open the complete bios that i can find at the moment  ,  i think it is locked out from out side the bios and not from inside.?
    any  pointers in the right direction would be very helpful  ,
    many thanks

  • Fit Image CS4: Error: Unable to create Window - OS error [1400]:210

    Hi there,
    I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit Photoshop CS4 Extended and have come across a problem with the Automate/Fit Image script. I have read the other posts here concerning a bug in the script, but I'm not even getting to the stage of the script giving me any options to run - I just get the following in a Script Alert message box: Fit Image CS4: Error: Unable to create Window - OS error [1400]:210
    I can see that the script is in the Presets/Scripts directory OK. Anyone with any ideas please?

    Thanks for that reply. I tried this again and it's working now. The only thing I can think of is that I have closed and opened Photoshop a number of times since having the problem and that may have fixed it.
    I find that if I am doing a lot of work in quick mask mode on large images with the pen tool, after a while, Photoshop starts to develop a very significant lag time, taking a number of seconds to draw the next point or respond to the tool (I'm on Vista 64 bit with 12 GBs of RAM, so it shouldn't be RAM, GeForce 8800 GTS video card 640MB dedicated video memory). I find that I have to frequently close Photoshop to get the tool response time back to normal. Perhaps the inability to draw a dialog box was somehow linked with this kind of problem....

  • Satellite A40-210 - How to recover XP but disk turns out to run Windows 98?

    Ok, I've got a dinausour: Satellite A40-210 But hey, it ran just fine until an antivirus wiped out something crucial (or at least that's what I think), as Windows is no longer able to startup.
    Now the error is given: system32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys is unavailable or broken.
    I still got my recovery-disks (all 3 of them)
    1: tools&utilities CD-Rom
    2:product recovery CD-Rom 1
    3:product recovery CD-Rom 2
    Nr 1 is not responding as reboot and the Product recovery CD-Rom 1 turns out to "recover" Windows 98.
    Thing is, I would like to recover at least photos and some documents and whenever possible: get to use it again with all the programes etc that were installed on the hard-disk...
    What/how to do this?
    As the message of '98 frightens me: this will delete all previous info on disk.
    Help, please!

    If moving the hard drive to an external enclosure is not convenient, it should be possible to use a Linux live CD to find your files and transfer them to a USB drive.
    I managed this with an old laptop whose Windows 2000 installation stopped working. In that instance, it was simply a matter of booting from a Linux live CD (I used Puppy Linux, as it has modest RAM demands). Once the Linux system was up and running in RAM, it allowed me to mount the Windows partition, and to read the files and photos I wanted to recover. It also allowed me copy those files to a USB flash drive.
    Easier than I expected. And meant that, with my date safely copied elsewhere, I could relax and try to repair/reinstall the Windows system.
