K1 doesn't seem to be charging battery nor is it shutting down properly?

When choosing shut down on the K1 it starts to shut down and than just freezes...anybody have a solution?
also it doesn't seem to be charging...I have it plugged in to the wall now and when it's on the lock page it says "connect charger" and it shows the battery at 0%
anybody have this happen to them, or know of a solution.   I just did a factory reset but this did not change anything.

yes, I got the same problem too. I got my K1 just 10 days ago. I hope someone can help to provide solution before I send it back for fixing.. it's just wasting my time to do so and I know Lenovo will never replace me a new one.

You need to get your phone repaired.   It's obviously damaged, and nothing we can suggest to you will fix that.

I haven't used my iPad 1 for months and now am trying to charge it, but it doesn't seem to be charging. Is the battery no longer good because it hasn't been used for so long?

I just ran into this. You have to make sure you're using an iPad charger (the bricklet is larger) in a wall outlet. Leave it alone for several hours, then do the reset while it's still plugged in (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). It should make a comeback.

  • Doesn't seem to be charging HELP!!

When i plug my shuffle into the usb port charger... it just blinks an orange light about 3 or 4 times and then does nothing. itunes isn't even registering that i have it plugged into my computer. I tried switching the usb port i had it pluged into and that didn't seem to work either. Is it broken???

I would leave it plugged into the wall socket using the supplied power adapter for at least one hour and see if it charges at all. If it does start charging - obviously continue to let it charge. Once you get to about 50% on the battery gauge if you want to try to turn it on with the sleep button go ahead and try.
If it still will not turn on but is holding a charge, remove the iPad from the power adapter and hold down on the sleep button and home button at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider.

  • My iPad 2 won't charge and it's completely shut down. I've tried pressing the two buttons simultaneously, but nothing works. It's driving me crazy! Any offers of suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    1. The most efficient way to charge an iPad is with the charger that came with the iPad and having that plugged into a wall outlet. Trying to charge while connected to a laptop often doesn't work because the USB port may not provide enough power.
    2. Once an iPad battery has completely drained it may take an hour or more on the wall charger before the iPad responds. So after an hour on the charger reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
    3. If the iPad still does not start up make an appt at the Apple store. It will be far better if you have an appointment rather than just walking in because those with appointments will be taken care of before you are.

Hi, I hope you can help. I'm sure this is something really basic that I should be able to fix myself, but.................
I was working on a photo calendar on my macbook off the battery and the battery suddenly ran out. So it wasn't shut down properly. Now when I open i photo the coloured wheel just keeps spinning and I can't get into it. Everything else on the computer seems to work. I've done forced quit and restarted it a few times and also left it running.

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Can i create mcx for shut down properly mac when battery is less 5 %

    Hi hello
Can i create mcx for shut down properly mac when battery is less 5 % ?
    Thanks for your reply

You can create a mailing list by using the "Groups" feature of Address Book. Simply select "New Group" from the File menu. Name the group, and drag the contacts you need into the group.
In Mail, open up Preferences (under the Mail menu), and click on "Composing". Then make sure that "When sending to a group, show all member addresses" is unchecked.
The auto reply is a feature that is better done on your mail server, as you Mac can only send an auto reply when it is on, with the Mail application open. If you use dot Mac, you can set up a vacation responder through the web, and you can leave your computer switched off.
If you really want to leave your Mac on when you are on holiday, you can set up a mail rule (Preferences, Rules).

  • HT1446 No low battery warning before it shuts-down

Under MAvericks OS-X, our MBP isn't giving a low battery warning before it shuts-down. And yes the battery status icon is active in the status bar..  So why no warning??

Read this earlier non-Mavericks discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/11218017#11218017

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • When running on battery power, my MBP shuts down after 30 mins..please help

this has been happening for the last two weeks; whenever i run my MBP on battery, it goes blank/shuts down after about 30 mins...would start back on, but shut down even before the login screen comes! i checked the battery display under the laptop-it showed 3 green lights!! TIA!! i bought my MBP off the apple website last september!

With your symptoms, most likely, yes. If you have a 17" MBP, you are out of spec (based on Apple's specification of 80% health for 300 cycles). If you have a 15" MBP, you're in spec (84% health), but your symptoms indicate a problem (i.e. a defective battery). So, contact AppleCare!
You can't calibrate now. I asked because if a battery goes too long (150-220 cycles) without calibration, the "sudden loss of power" can result.
    Hope this helps...
Graham, that's why I inquired about calibration, but with the OP's cycle count, that's not the issue. Also, FYI the "battery condition" information is part of System Profiler with Leopard; the OP lists Tiger, and did post all the information available under Tiger.

  • Battery drains with MBP shut down

My MBP drains about 4% of battery life after I shut down it for 12 hours, is this normal?
Just to find out how many % of battery life lost per 12 hours for letting your MBP sleep or shut down is considered normal?
    Thanks!

I've had my Macbook Pro completely exhaust the battery over night with the laptop SHUT DOWN. I've noticed a few times since installing Leopard that after shutting my Macbook pro down, that it's apparently not completely shut down. pressing the power button will not turn the laptop on. The screen remains black and the laptop makes no sound. Closing the lid will cause the sleep light to pulse, but the computer screen is still black when you reopen the lid. I have to press the power button for 5 seconds as if to shut it off (although no sounds or lights go off), then I press the power button again and it boots normally.

  • WLSE doesn't seem to notice it when an Aironet device goes down

    WLSE type: 1105, version 2.7
    Aironet 1100 devices (267 pieces), IOS 12.2(13)JA4
After the upgrade from version 2.6 to 2.7 we have a problem with the WLSE. Device discoveries and inventories run without a problem, but whenever a device goes down the WLSE doesn't seem to notice.
With a sniffer we found the WLSE's polling the device, but there's no follow-up when there's no reply. As a result the device stays green.
All configurations are the same with the exeption of one location. Here we've configured the WDS and this is the only location on which the WLSE reacts in the correct way.
On several other locations there might be one or two devices on which the WLSE reacts correctly, but these are exeptions. We have compared configuration files, but can't find any differences between the devices.
Whenever the WLSE does discover a failing device (with no WDS configured) it generates a P1 severity fault (default was P2).
In case these devices have become reachable again the P1 severity fault is automatically acknowledged and remains this way. So far I haven't been able to clear these faults and therefor the device will keep it's alert status in the reportview.
I do hope somebody has some idea about what's going on.
After I encountered these problems after the upgrade I've started from scratch and used a clean installation of version 2.7. and a new discovery of our network.
I really don't know what went wrong. Anybody with any suggestions is very welcome to vent them.
    Thanks for your help,
    Corine

I'm having a similar issue. 500+ AP1200 units, IOS 15JA, newest WLSE version. Most of the time when a unit goes down, it will generate a SNMP unreachable fault message, and we are set to have the WLSE send an email in the event of a SNMP unreachable. That's great. Except once in awhile, it won't generate the fault. The device could be powered completely down for three or four days, and I'd never get a fault message. It's driving me nuts. All these AP's are configured the same using the exact same template, with only the IP info changed.

  • Battery life issue, phone shuts down

HI I have an iphone 4S running 6.1.1 and with 10.6GB avail space running 3G on the Fido network. Had the phone for less than a year and it was sent to me as a refurbished
My phone shuts down before it gets to 0%. Sometimes it lets me get to 0% and does a normal shut down, but in some cases it will suddenly just shut down and claim it has no battery life left, then when plug in loads up right away, exactly with all the same apps open and with a good chuck of battery.
    Today for example
    - Was at 70% when went out on a bike ride
    - 2 hours later and after some tethering and listening to music it shuts down all of a sudden while looking at a tweet
    - Try to turn back on, says its out of battery
    - Get home and plug in, starts up at 17% right back at the same tweet

I have the same issue with the same 4S.  I thought it was a bug with the camera because it would happen while I was in the middle of taking a picture.  The phone would shut down and after attempting to restart it prompted no battery life.  But once I plugged the phone in it would start up and show the proper battery % left on the phone.
Another forum on here stated a probelm is with the cold weather which was cauing the battery to lower in tempature, falsly causing a depleted percentage which forced a shutdown. They said all they had to do was let the phone warm up and it would reboot back up just fine.
I thought it odd but most of my issues were when I was outside. That is until just last night when I was in my kitchen taking a picture of something on the counter and it again shut down. I had to plug in the charger, boot it back up and once back up I went right back to the kitchen and tried again and it happened again. So I plugged it in again rebooted and then unplugged the phone and let it sit about 10 minutes on the counter and then tried again and it worked.  I am not sure the cold had anytyhing to do with it this time because I had been home a couple of hours already and my home is 70 degrees.  It is frustraing. I find myself caring a backup battery to plug in the phone if and when this happens when I am away.  Not a good solution.

  • Battery dies and computer shuts down

Up until about a week or two ago my MacBook was working fine. Yet now the battery is all messed up. Whenever the battery dies the whole system shuts down instead of going into safe sleep mode. I tried resetting the SMS, it worked at first, but then it just stopped going into safe sleep mode again. System profiler says that the battery is fine. I don't understand why it won't go into safe sleep mode, any help?

This might be a different problem, but I just recalibrated my battery for my Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (bought it it '07, replaced the battery once already). The battery life is actually worse now than before I recalibrated the battery. In fact, it turns itself off after a few minutes and I have to restart it, and the battery power is still reading 64%.
The cycle count in my system profiler reads 152, condition "good".
