K5400 Cyan no longer working - tube looks empty - how to fix?

Last night my cyan stopped working in the middle of a page.  I did not get any warnings at all but suddenly it was out of ink. I replaced the ink cartridge with a brand new HP88XL (purchased direct from HP) and now Cyan does not print at all.  I have tried everything to no avail and I have checked the lines, etc.  I am reluctant to buy a new printhead if I don't have to, is there anything else I can try?

I looked at the tube going from the ink to the printheads and the cyan tube looks empty, you can see some little splotches of ink.  How can I get the ink to go into it again?  I am really bummed because my brand new ink cartridge seems to have already lost a great quantity in all the efforts I have made (not to mention the magenta from all the printhead aligning / cleaning).  Please help!

Hello Snoopygirl, and welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you are having cyan ink issues.  I would like to try and assist with that.
I would recommend performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend following all the steps listed in this document on Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues.
If these do not work, I would recommend contacting HP directly.  You can utilize this website to learn how to contact HP appropriately, based on your region: Contact HP Worldwide.

    In iOS 7 I would use a dialing short cut for all of my conference calls as this allowed a nice easy way for people to dial into meetings hands free. There has always been the option of using the semicolon (;) which requires another touch by the user or using commas (,) as pauses which can get you through all the prompts on a conference line without having to type any information. iOS 8 quit reading the commas and will only hyperlink the phone number prior to the commas. Are there any workarounds for this?
    This series of numbers: 8881234567,,,12345678#,# used to work as a hyperlink and was in the subject line and the body of the message. The user of the device didn't have to do anything other than touch the hyperlink on the calendar notification and it would complete the full dialing sequence for them.
    The text remains the exact same as above however now only the 8881234567 is a hyperlink. I can use the semicolon but it is really inconvenient if you are driving and have to use your screen..
    This behavior happens in Calendar, Mail, Notes, etc. The only place that this will work is if it is directly copied into the dialing field on the Keypad screen of the phone.
    Are there any work arounds? Or this is just two steps backward that we have to live with?

    Yes, this is VERY painful after a few days of using Safari: Having to close one window at a time. Ugh.

    Your previous purchases are saved on iCloud even if you bought them on another computer. If you can't find them on your current computer, you might need to unhide them. Go to iTunes preferences, and click on Store Preferences. Then click the box for "show iTunes in the Cloud purchases". Then click on OK, and everything you've ever bought from iTunes on that Apple ID will show up in your library. You will need to download them from iCloud first before you can synch them to your iPod Classic. To do this, click on the little cloud with the arrow in it next to your song, and it will download to your computer. When you have the music that you want downloaded, plug in your iPod and synch away. Hope this helps!

    Use another browser to install Safari again.
    You can download Firefox for the Mac, place the download on a USB thumb drive stick it into the Mac and copy it, run the installer.
    Once FF is on, download a new copy of Safari from Apple's site.

    The SMS links thing is highly annoying. You don't have to copy/paste however. You should see an icon like this: (>) to the right of the text bubble with the link. Tap on that, the in the screen that opens, tap "Visit".
    Alternatively, you can tap twice directly on the link, then hold your finger down after the second tap.
    Still unnecessarily difficult, but not as bad as copy/paste.
    What I don't get is why can't I find any mention of this change or how to fix it (if even possible) elsewhere online?

  • The option "Show my windows and tabs from last time" no longer works and reloading Firefox does not fix it.

    I have been using this for as long as the feature has been available along with App tabs. All of a sudden it no longer works. I have tried resetting the option to something else and then back again. I've also tried reloading and reinstalling Firefox. Neither of these worked. I can't see any other anomalies. It seems to be working fine otherwise. I use Windows 7.

    Recently I purchased MBA 11 (2013) model ( 4GB ram & 1.3 Ghz dual core). Although I use iPhone 5 & iPad 4 but never used mac. So when I found the track pad is capable of pinch zoom(along with other gesture) I was excited. But later I found after opening few apps (like safari, chrome etc) pinch zoom stop working . I need to restart in order to make it work again. Other gestures works fine just issue with the pinch zoom. Along with this issue I have some other questions as well
    1) How to fix this pinch zoom issue?
    2) I use eclipse for android development, but when I connect android phone/tablet - os crashes, no idea why?
    3) How to uninstall & update apps properly which was downloaded from web (like I installed x-code) ?
