I have an apple wireless keyboard that came with my 2011 imac and up untill last month the caps lock light wont turn off even when i turn caps lock off and its draining my battery. usually the keyboard will turn off whenever the computer was off but now i have to turn the whole keyboard off everytime im not using it to save battery.

It is probably faulty.  If you are close to one, I suggest you take it to an Apple store for diagnosis.

Not normal.  For right now don't turn your printer off (it goes into an extremely low power mode after a few minutes, anyway).  There should be an update that will address this issue soon.

  • K7N2 Delta2 FSR - no post

Ok....just got this board two days ago and installed windows xp pro and updates without a glitch. Then, I installed battlefield2  and played off and on for the rest of the day. Everything worked great ...until, right in the middle of battle, I got the blue screen of death but there was no text...just blue. I then restarted the computer and went into bios to check the temperature, which seemed fine. CPU was at 45c. Windows booted then i started the game again.  I played for a while then BAM!!!   blue screen again. Repeated checking temp and booted windows again. Started the game and as soon as it started, blue screen. So, I rebooted again. This time I got the award screen and it said "Bios Rom Checksum error. Insert system disk. Well, I do not have a system disk, so I turned it off and came to check here. I've read about all the things suggested like taking battery out, unplugging, pressing insert...blah blah blah. I also downloaded the newest bios and was prepared to flash it. But, the next time I turned it on, I got no post. CD drive spins up...hard drive crunches, fans turn on...but no floppy seek, no video, no beeps, keyboard freezes(i check by pressing caps lock and watch for the light).  I am at a loss as to what would cause this, and have even submitted a help request, which says I will recieve a reply in the next couple hours...but have yet to receive such reply.  I have tried ALL new hardware in this motherboard along with the originals in another motherboard....all hardware is fine...and other hardware makes no difference in this board. Help
    Motherboard:  K7N2 Delta2 - FSR
    Revision:         MS - 6570E Ver: 1.0
CPU:              AMD Athlon XP 2500+ barton
    Heatsink:        Thermaltake Copper Plated
    Fan:               Silent Boost

It's hard to find out things, of course, what it is if one is not allowed to ask what the situation is. The BIOS message checksum error would suggest it returned to basic 100 MHz, which it didn't like. Why did it do that?
The processor is a 166(333) MHz. If you had not so good DDR400 RAM there might be problems, or if it was very fast. What RAM have you got? Or rather, did you have?
If you don't want questions, but something to do, I would suggest you stripped the system of all connected devices - including the power cable and power connections. Also take out the battery and the memory. Please study the memory real close. Go do something else for half a day or so.
Next with only the processor on reconnect only the PSU to the mobo, and have a test run for POST. Hopefully you'll get to BIOS, which will give you all kind of beeps.

  • K7N2 Delta2-FSR Won't Boot

    Hi everyone,
I was in my bios cell settings and I believe I accidently changed my FSB setting from 166 to 200 with my multiplier set at 12.
My motherboard is a K7N2 Delta2-FSR (601-6570e-020) with a AMD Sempron 2800 and 2x512mb RAM.  The system was totally fine before hand and now it won't boot at all.  I can switch on the system and all the drives power up but my screen stays black with the amber light on and no post beeping.  I have tried removing all my memory modules and when i boot with no memory, i get the long continuous beeps which signal "No Memory Present".  When i install 1 module it doesn't post and doesn't beep at all.
I have tried unplugging my power cable from the PSU and tried resetting the clear CMOS Jumper to pins 2-3 for 15-30 seconds and then returning the jumper to pins 1-2.  I have then plugged the power cable back into my PSU and then powered on the system but still i get the black screen.  I have read on these forums about a "Safe Mode" jumper known as "J10" but my motherboard doesn't have this jumper.  It only has the JBAT1 jumper.
Are their any other methods to reset my FSB to default or to reset the bios safely?
Will be grateful & appreciative for any help given,
    Many thanks

All my fans are spinning, unfortauntely my motherboard didn't come with a D-Bracket so I can't test it out using that.
    Any other suggestions?
well you can try without D-bracket also, just wait 5-6 seconds to ensure no boot or boot. ------> https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=96529.msg697033#msg697033

  • MSI K7N2 Delta2-FSR & Dual Memory Problems

Just recently I decided to upgrade my girlfriend's computer for her.  Upgrade new PROC, MOBO, MEM.  The proc is a AMD Athlon BARTON 3000+ OEM, Mobo is the MSI K7N2 Delta2-FSR  and MEM is from PQI both are dual channel and in same package (identical) 512MB x 2. I thought it was an easy set up and everything and everything in terms of hook-ups was...  I loaded XP and it gave me a crap load of errors, but I manage to load all of XP.  Then came installing Adobe softwares, it kept saying "installing...." in an infinte loop and then froze on me.  I skipped installing Adobe software and decided to install World of Warcraft Game.  When I loaded the game, it popped up with errors installing, but it managed to install.  WHen time to play the game; however, it kept crashing, restarting, and freezing.  I noticed the system was a little bit laggy even though there was 1 gig of ram.  So as a Geek Squad tech I am, I started to tweak and mess with it.  I figure it was the MEMORY and I tried it and thought it was bad memory...
Yes it was memory when I tested with MEMTEST86 for dual channel ram, It came up with RED ERRORS all across the screen.  So I decided to test each stick individually and each stick PASSED!  I even tried each of the different slots on the motherboard and it all passed as SINGLE individual rams.  I figure the first test with dual ram was just some mistake, loose RAM or something, so i decided to pop the DUALs right back in, in different combination and I kept seeing Red errors all over as well.
So my conclusion is :: Motherboard is bad.  I contacted NEWEGG, but they will not refund my money as it has been over 30 days.  I wish I would've known earlier... Anyways, So im stuck with exchanging for same mobo or find answers, but I think doing exchange will not do any good if this is a known problem.

Just to confirm; they are fine together in single channel, slot 1 and slot 2?  Dual channel is purple + green slot, i.e slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 3.  Or are you saying they can't work together in any combination of slots?
    there will be a label on side of your psu stating max amps to +3.3V, +5v and +12v rails, i.e +3.3v = ?A, +5v = ?A, +12v = ?A.  For example my psu is: Antec TrueBlue480: 30A/3.3V, 38A/5V, 28A/12V
Maybe your psu is not up to the job
You did load the chipset and graphics drivers didn't you?
You are correct sir... any combination of slots 1&3 or 2&3 will give error.... each as individuals 1,2,or3 will pass. The PSU amps readout are as follow:
    +5v 40a Red, +12V1 16A yellow, +3.3v 35A orange, +12v2 18a yellow/black, -5v 0.5a white, -12v 0.5a blue, +5vsb 2.5a purple, pg gray.
I have loaded the chipset drivers from the CD it came with, and the graphics drivers are from ATI.com latest version.  I will try and update the Nforce driver from Nvidia's site, but I don't see the chipset as the cause of this problem.
EDIT: In any combination of slots used, the read outof of MEMtest is single channel.  Only slots 2&3 will have a read out of DUAL DDR channel 128bits.  Slots 2&3 Will still have errors though...

[K7N2 Delta2-FSR] Unstable when DOT disabled

Sorry! I've missed this section (overclocking&modding). So, You'll say the problem is probably RAM. I'll try to unplug one stick of mem and i'll see. I'll try flash the B30 BIOS If you say that it's most stable than b40 & b50. BTW. processor easly overclocking at FSB 200 and 1.700V - prime95; 8hour blend test; 0warnings 0errors!
About the PSU: On the beginning I have 400W Megabajt (megash#$) so I was afraid of the future of my device (mean: stuff, comp) and I was change it on ModeCom 350 (GTF). It's most, most, most, most stable than that megash#$.

  • K7n2 delta2-fsr and 2600+ Barton o/c problem!

Hi my system consist's of :
    Athlon xp 2600+ Barton
    k7n2 delta2-fsr ( B3 bios)
2*256 Twin Mos cl 2.5 Dual channel
    GForce4 MX 440
    ASUS 300w (+3.3V-> 28A, +5V -> 30A, +12V -> 18A)
The problem is that i can't go stable above 178 FSB whatever the Vcore is!
The cpu temperature seems to be low enough ( 38 idle)
With my previous mb i had reached easy 192 with the same processor.
    The DOT is disabled!
    Any ideas?

    enable acpi.
    set dot to default
    set nvmm enabled
    set fsb:ram 1:1
    agp to 68mhz
    nv/ati speedup leave auto
    cpu interface set to normal
    give nesesery CPU Vcore...
set DIMM Vcore at minimum 2.70
leave memory timmings to optimised if you dont know what to set.
start from memtest86 to be sure its memory probs. make sure there is no errors at test number five.
start increase DIMM Vcore if errors is detected till 3.0V its safe mobo is dimm is undervolted after 2.9V isnt give actual core what is suppose to be. let we know how its going.
make sure 1st that you dont have any memory fabric malfuction. this can be done by testing one stick then test other stick with memtest86.
at all i think that your CPU want more Vcore to be stable when you change FSB to higher. set CPU Vcore to 1.85V to be sure.(standart cooler can handle it) or best way is to lower multipler and set FSB to 200FSB to test memory if toyr CPU is unlocked.
First of all i'have already tested my cpu and the rams with my previous mobo,so unless this mb has a problem i should go up to 192fsb without any problem!
Now i can't understand why should i raise the Vdimm since the ram runs at lower frequency than the deefault?
Anyway i'll try all you say above and let's hope that everythimg will go ok!
    Thanks

  • MSI K7N2 Delta2 FSR - memory issue

I've got MSI K7N2 Delta2 FSR and 512mb DDR400 Kingston Value Ram CL3. They work fine when I set them on a optimized settings and 166mhz. If I try any better timings then my pc wont be stable. I tried to set higher voltage, but nothing helps. I thought that I bought shitty memory, but when I set manually the same settins as optimized then my pc crushes. It isn't stable until I set optimized setting. Even if i set manually worse timings than optimized it will crush. I also tried with old TwinMos DDR266, witch was able to run with the best timings on my old MSI K7T266 Pro2(KT266A). I tried any other settings, but only optimized worked fine. So probably it is coused by motherboard, not memory. It has newest avalible bios and I installed newest nvidia drivers (also tried with old one, witch was on a cd bunled with mobo). Does anybody have a solution ??

I could get that RAM to work in Dual channel (even though their weren't matched pairs) at 2.5-4-4-8, synched with CPU FSB (1:1) at 200Mhz ... Like you said, pretty good bang for the buck. Although The Corsair I now have makes a difference (for 100$ more)...
    System  1: MSI K7N2 Delta2-ILSR, XP2500 Barton (@2200Mhz)(11*200), Corsair TWINX 1024C2 (@2-3-3-6), XFX TI4200-128M (@300-590), Seagate 120G SATA
Western Digital 200G SATA, Antec Sonata 380W TruePower.
    System 2: MSI K7N2 Delta2-LSR, XP2500 Barton (@2343Mhz)(11*213), Platinum 512M (@3-4-4-8),  Powercolor 9600 Pro 256M (@550,460) Western Digital 160G SATA, Antec Sonata 380W TruePower.

  • K7n2 delta2 fsr - bios functions APIC & ACPI

Please help me to make a good settings for two functions:
    1. APIC should it be enabled or disabled? (first it was disabled. I turned it on and nothing changed, so i disabled it, but my XP did not boot...)
    2. ACPI what is it for? What is optimal setting for this function...?
Like i wrote before i have problems with optical mouse after turning off the computer, that why i changed that BIOS functions...

Yes, it will perform better, but not in the true meaning of "perform" More like "operate" You will need to re-install in order to enable it properly. There are other ways, to change the HAL but for simplicity's sake and proper operation, a full re-install with these options enabled is highly recommended.
As far as your mouse staying on, this is a function that allows you to start the PC with a keystroke or mouse movement. There are generally two steps in enabling this feature. Some boards have a jumper and BIOS setting Combination in order for it to work. Please refer to the manual for the jumper settings (if any) and look in the BIOS to see if this setting is enabled. I believe it is in Power Management. (been a while since I even bothered with this setting)
You may have this option enabled. If it is enabled the standby voltage is applied to the peripheral devices (keyboard/mouse) that would allow you to start the PC. That is why you still see a light.

lumia 1020 focus assist light wont turn off. i've done a hard reset and a soft reset. ive also drained the battery but the little round light continues to be turned on .
i checked and it looks like ive still got warranty from nokia. will they still honour the warranty if ive updates the software?

I have the same problem, I tested everything, hard reset, soft reset, using recovery tool to back to Cyan version, still the light is ON..  what is tyhe problem, it is ridicolous that Microsoft/ Nokia do not give an answer to this problem as many users have the same problem........

Hi, alekswithkz. Just to verify, when you say hard reset, do you mean: Settings>About>Reset? If yes, you can try to download and use the Nokia Software Recovery Tool before considering sending the phone for repair.

Note: The link is from Nokia US. If you are in another country, feel free to download the app from your local Nokia website.
If the issue remains, it's best to have it examined by an authorized Nokia technician. This will also determine if the repair will be covered under warranty. Warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please bring your receipt for warranty verification.

  • [nForce] has somebody MSI K7N2 Delta2-FSR + barton mobile

I wanted to know if there is a possibility of changing cpu ratio because msi kt4av did't see this cpu as mobile. on epox 8rda3+,8rda3+pro, and abit everything is ok. Has there somebody such mainboard with this cpu? Does mainboard seethis cpu correctly? And does somebody know if how to change the cpu ratio in barton mobile's bios.i wanna buy  MSI K7N2 Delta2-FSR

    Frequency/Voltage Control in BIOS
    "CPU FSB Clock"
    "CPU Ratio" (multiplier)
    that is from KT4AV manual
mobile CPUs aren't properly identified on most boards, but that is merely a "cosmetic touch"
