K7N2 needs plug pulled to turn off

Hey guys,
My first post - I'm new to MSI
I installed the K7N2 the other day along with a new CPU, and PSU.
The thing is - although it powers up fine and allows me to shut it down. The next time i power it up it will not even get to Bios stage - the monitor powers down and the HD too. I have to unplug it from the wall to turn the PC off from this condition (my new PSU has no on/off switch) - then having unplugged and replugged i can reboot fine.
Same thing will occur again and again.
Any ideas??

Although I'm now an XP user I'd like to take issue with the Windows ME boot problems described by Andovers1.
My previous system was based around an Intel SE440BX-3 (DELL) Slot 1 mobo with a Pentium III 500MHz, I had two hard drives installed - one to boot into XP and the other ME.
When I installed my K7N420 I attached my (Dell Installed)
XP hard drive to see if it would boot - not a chance - blue screens galore. The Windows ME hard drive however - Booted!!! It did have to keep stopping and looking for "Software for your new hardware" but it actually worked.
Now don't get me wrong I'm no fan of ME and XP is a definite improvement. In fact, I'm no fan of any windows environment (Amiga user ) but credit where credit's due.

K7N2 Delta ILSR won't turn off, just restarts. Every time I click on "Turn off computer" in Windows XP, it shuts down, but restarts again. Could this be OS related, or perhaps Bios related. My other machine, almost identical to this one, except that the other machine has BIOS rev 7.6 and this one 7.2.

PSUs seem to be yr favorite subject, but I'm afraid this time it's software. I experimented some more as the problem only occured after installing the Nvidia drivers. Comparing the system settings in the device manager before installing drivers and after installing them, reveils that the problem shows up when AGP HOST TO PCI BRIDGE is installed. When killing this item the PC shuts off properly. Unfortunately when turning back on, Windows automatically reinstalls the PCI bridge and I have the problem again. LOOKS LIKE A MSI SOFTWARE PROBLEM !
By the way I have a PCI graphics board and not AGP in the failing PC (the good one has AGP graphics).

My new iPad 3 doesn't seem to charge well. If it's plugged in and I'm using it, it doesn't seem to charge. It only charges well when it's plugged in and turned off.

My iPad 3 bettery life is very poor, and it doesn't chrage when it's plugged in and I'm using it, only when it's plugged in and turned off. I'm beginning to be sorry I bought this iPad and that I should have stuck with the iPad 2.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. I'm afraid you'll have to get the phone serviced, dropping the phone must have damaged additional parts inside the phone.
But Apple will not service the phone anymore, opening the phone and replacing the battery should only be done by authorized personal, not by users.
You'll have to look for a 3rd party repair shop and see if they can fix this, sorry.

My iPhone 4 is no longer recognised by my laptop, and no longer registers being plugged in to charge, even though it will charge slowly if plugged in and turned off. It's not a cable problem or a computer problem, as I've checked these.

Hey, over the past couple of days my iPhone 4 (GMS, Model A1332, EMC 380B - running on iOS 7.1.2) has begun inexplicably intermittently not recognizing being plugged in to charge or being connected to my laptop. As of today, it has complete stopped recognizing being plugged in to charge or connected to the laptop.
If I plug it in to charge, whilst it is on, nothing happens and the battery drains.
If I plug it in to charge and turn in off, it will charge very very slowly - though it will charge fully after a long time.
When I connect it to my laptop, nothing happens - it doesn't appear in iTunes, and it doesn't charge or recognize being connected to the laptop (there is no charging symbol, no noise from either phone or computer registering the connection as it usual did, or another sign of any connection between the devices, though, again, it will charge very slowly if turned off).
I've ruled out the possibility of it being a cable problem, by using a friend's cable and finding that didn't allow it to recognize being plugged into the wall to be charged either, or being plugged into the computer.
My friend's cable does work on their own iPhone (ie, when plugged into the wall with their cable, their iPhone acknowledges this and charges properly, and when plugged into my computer with their cable both my computer and their iPhone recognize the connection).
So, it's definitely a problem with my iPhone itself, but I don't know what.
As I say, it will charge very slowly, if it's switched off whilst it's plugged in, but it won't acknowledge being plugged in, and will only drain if it is turned on whilst being plugged in - and it will not recognize being connect to my computer.
Please help me figure out what is wrong with it, as this is beyond annoying and I'm literally banging my head against the wall - the iPhone is little over a year old.

try a reset of iPhone and then a restore,best, as new and if it then functions correctly try restoring with your backup

Need Help in Scripting Turning Off JPEG Processing in ACR

Back in 2005 (Win PS CS) I wrote a javascript script which allows me to batch add captions, headlines, author, etc to JPEG image files. When CS3 came along I found I needed to turn off ACRs JPEG processing before I ran the script and on again after the script ran. I now need to do the same thing for PS CS4 and soon CS5. I have tried to create two (one off - another for on) actions to do that but they don't appear to work. Can this be done by an action? If it can done by an action can it be scripted?

Thanks Michael! I hoped you'd respond. The CS4 ACR JPEG support interface has changed from CS3, so that may be why you code doesn't work.
I don't think I copied the log file incorrectly, but I can try again. Can you please please explain your original script - I can't quite get it.
I also tried just using an action - Edit-->Preferences-->Camera Raw-->JPEG & Tiff Handling -->Disable JPEG support but that doesn't work. I wonder if I need to set both the JPRG and Tiff settings to make it work???

Need a digit to turn off machine

after suffering from the dreaded overclocking lockout and recovering my machine using MSI's marvelous jumper - Thought i'd fried the thing until I read the manual.
Obviously, the bios was then cleared
The problem I now have is that when I close down my machine, it does'nt automatically turn off but brings up the windows XP 'its now safe to turn off your machine' screen. A button press on the case and it goes off.
Is there something in the bios that will shut the machine down automatically as before?

Need additional space to turn off legacy FileVault?

I have a 320GB HD but the finder says I have almost 500GB of data which is impossible. The about this mac tells me that I have 2GB free. I moved 100GB of items to the trash then emptied the trash and it still tells me I have 2GB free. I recently upgraded to lion and when I go to deactivate legacy filevault as I am guessing that is the issue it tells me I need additional space? How can I use an external HD to fix this issue? Can I just delete the sparsebundle that is 200GB?

Okay, I was under the impression that you had to deactivate any legacy/previous version of Filevault before you installed Lion. I don't believe that the two versions are in anyway compatible.
Do you have a backup of your prior SL volume?

I just traded in my iphone for the 5s and Verizon is having some problems deactivating the find my iphone thing on my old phone however it still has it linked up with my old email address that was stolen from me, how do I reset it so I can use my current email address to use my current password?

Laptop sleeps every 15 minutes with sleep mode turned off

I have a Satellite U305-S5077 that won't continue to run for more than about 15 minutes if I'm not using the mouse or keyboard, even when I'm using it plugged in. The screen blanks and the power out stops to the TV to which it is hooked up. If I hit the mouse or keyboard it starts back up. I have set the screen saver to over 1000 minutes, I have set all the power management methods when plugged in to Off, and this hasn't affected this problem. Is there something else that I need to change or turn off in some setting? If so, what? Or any other diagnostic tips to track down what is causing the problem?

Sorry, I just figured this out. My wife had not fully plugged the laptop in so it was running on battery power without us realizing it. Problem solved.

Try going to Settings>Safari and turning Block Pop-ups off.

How can i turn off encrypted backup file if i do have the passowrd?

i have a problem with restoring the backup files on my iphone, it shows me an error message of corrupted process. Now i downloaded Dr.fone program in order to extract the backup files but it does not extract encrypted backup. So i need a method for turning off the encryption and please note that i do have the password for that encryption i just need a way to turn it off using the password.

after ive connected the phone to itunes and i click on restore backup a box pops u and says
Find my iphone must be turned off before 'My Iphone' can be restored.
Go to icloud settings on you iphone and turn off Find my Iphone before restoring your iphone.
the first time this came up i went into icloud on my computer and removed the old phone from there but from what ive read it will only be properly removed when the fone gets turned back on.

Is it possible to temporarily turn off the wireless signal being emitted from an Airport Extreme whilst still remaining connected to the internet via ethernet? If so, what do you need to do to turn off the wireless signal?
Also, how strong is the wireless signal? If placed in a basement of a residential property, is it likely that the signal would reach two floors above?

Open AirPort Utility - Click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab located just under the row of icons
Wireless Mode = None
Update to save your new settings
You can reverse the process to turn the wireless back on when you are ready.
Also, how strong is the wireless signal? If placed in a basement of a residential property, is it likely that the signal would reach two floors above?
It's just not possible to accurately predict wireless performance in advance for any installation. A guess would be that the signal will be very weak, and likely unusable, but you won't know for sure until you try it out in your house.
