Sorry I not really a computer expert, those item are recomend from my friend.

It's barely a step up from what you're using now...here is a review on it:
    http://www.neoseeker.com/resourcelink.html?rlid=62172
This pic shows that the 12V rail is 18A which is 2A more than the one you have now...scrimping isn't going to make it better...
Enermax or Antec is the way to go...they both crank a lot more amps out of their rails than most...

  • K7N2delta ILSR won't except video drivers?

I bought a K7N2delta ILSR & can't get it to accept the drivers for an ATI 9600? Before I install the drivers windows XP pro sets some drivers & I can alter the pixel settings, but once I install the ATI drivers I get nothing but a black screen? I boot & the windows XP splash screen comes up but the welcome screen never makes it? I can start in safe mode & the desktop is visable but once I go to regular boot I get nothing but a black screen?
I read a thread where they suggested using a two button mouse but that didn't work either? Any advice or suggestions?
Running BIOS 7.4. Should I flash back to 7.3? Reset CMOS & try over?
    Anyone have suggestions?

I hate it when people don't reply back to their own thread to say if they resolved their problem(s) or not? I'm not sure what happend but I bought an fx5200 and installed the drivers to find out my AGP slot was not fried or anything else for that matter? I then removed the nvidia drivers & reinstalled the ati  drivers for the 9600np to find that all is well & functional? I don't think this was caused by a bad agp seat but it could have been? All I know is that I don't appear to have a bad board.\
FYI .... this board has some nice OC'g features but my gigabyte board overclocked better with the same components & I might add no problems seen on this board!?

  • Norton Ghost / K7N2delta-ILSR

Has anyone used Ghost (v7 in this case) to image a RAID 1 NTFS volume or partition on this controller and restored it successfully?
I can image and verify the drive which appears ok, I just don't know of a non-destructive method of telling whether it'll restore back to the stack correctly ... short of breaking the mirror but that's too dangerous.
Having had odd problems with booting various image configurations in the past I don't want to jump in with both feet and sink!

    " Ghost and RAID
Ghost is not compatible with computers that use RAID. That is, Symantec Ghost 8.0 and earlier, and Norton Ghost 2003 and earlier, do not support RAID controllers on computers that are being imaged. In addition:
        * Ghost does not work with software level RAID.
        * Although Ghost might work in some limited circumstances with hardware level RAID, Symantec does not support using Ghost for cloning hardware level RAID drives.
    * Ghost does support cloning drives that have had RAID removed, such as after you break a mirrored set.
    Ghost and hardware-level RAID systems
Although it is not a supported feature, Ghost can sometimes create and restore images to hardware level RAID systems if you load the appropriate DOS ASPI driver to support this. Load the DOS ASPI driver when you create the image file and again when you restore the image file. DOS ASPI drivers can usually be obtained from the RAID hardware manufacturer. For other ASPI driver information, see the document Information on ASPI drivers.
Notes on getting Ghost to work with hardware RAID systems
        * Use similar hardware: Restore the image file only to a computer that uses the same hardware as the source computer. Because the operating system needs the drivers for the array, the drives will be inaccessible on the destination computer unless the hardware is the same.
        * SCSI or IDE: Ghost's ability to work with RAID arrays is not dependent on whether the array uses SCSI drives or IDE drives.
        * Mirrored sets in Windows NT: To clone mirrored sets in Windows NT, break the mirror, run Ghost with the -NTIID switch ( -ntiid ), and then recreate the mirror using the Windows NT Disk Administrator. Note that duplexed disks are a type of mirrored set. See the document Cannot migrate Windows NT mirrored or striped sets to larger drives.
        * Mirrored sets in Windows 2000/XP: Symantec Ghost 7.5, 8.0, and Norton Ghost 2003 support cloning a mirrored partition in Window 2000 and Windows XP provided that the source partition is on a Dynamic Disk and the image is restored to a Basic Disk. The restored partition is not mirrored. See the document Ghost compatibility with Dynamic partitions.
    * Restore the partition rather than the disk: In some situations, Ghost may be able to restore a partition from a disk image when Ghost cannot restore the disk image."

  • K7N2Delta ILSR--No8XAGP----RMA???

Ok I read throught the FX5900 Ultra thread with over 390 replies, and found a solution for my lockups.  I go into the bios and turn AGP8x to disable and my aperature to 64.
So this means I need to RMA the board right? Cause no more lockups with it off and board is supposed to be able to run at 8x?
Should I get another MSI Delta ILSR from my online retailer or an entirely different mother board that doesn't have a sh!tty history like this one?
    Any suggestions?
Let me list everything that is drawing power from my 420 watt Enlight Dual Fan power supply
AMD XP 2800 Barton 2.08ghz not overclocked
    K7N2DeltILSR (7.4 bios installed)
Kingston HyperX PC2700 (set to 2-2-2-5 and 2.6v in bios)
Leadtek A350 5900 Ultra My Vivo on 44.03's
    Seagate 20gig 2mbcache 7200rpm
    Pioneer 16x slot DVD
    TDK 12x10x32 VeloCD
    Floppy
    120mm case fan
2x 80mm rail fans in server
    1 60mm 7000rpm CPU fan on heatsink
    all under good ol WinME
    -------------------------------

    Oh one other thing
My 5900ultra needed coolbits to bring out the 3d setting
and those badboys chew up volts like no tommorrow
On my card on the other side of the additional power plug are four lugs. I kept getting a will lower clock settins message due to not enuf volts so I took a volt meter and discovered that the message was right. Turns out I had all my fans on one rail and the card, I didn't realize that the processor fan drew down so many amps so I redistributed the power and checked and now all is well. the other thing is do you have the extra power connected to the board?

  • Is it possible to go higher than 200FSB on K7N2Delta-ILSR?

    Hiya,
As subject title says really, according to the manual, 200FSB is the max you can set it to...
I'll be using a Mobile Barton 2600+ And was hoping for at least 210FSB speed with a reduced multiplier...
    Is it possible?
    Thanks

I have managed to keep 221FSB stable on my mobile that is 133FSB stock with the Delta-ILSR.  You always need to run 1:1 Dram Ratio.  since you have 2 diff speed your ram if you go over 200FSB you will be overclocking ram also or 2 sticks of it anyways.  Your best bet is set 1:1 and put FSB to 200 and try for a 11.5 or 12 multiplier for best performance.

  • 5.1 problem with K7N2Delta-ILSR

I was using four speakers until today. They were working fine but an acceptible delay on rear channels.
    But today I bought a 5.1 system: Philips MMS460
I've made the wiring, tested it with the test sound in nForce Control Panel, it was fine. They are working.
But when I open ANY other aplication like winamp, media player, games etc. ony the two front speakers are working. I searched the FAQ but found nothing.
I also tested speakers with my home cinema. They're working fine.

Yes I configured them all. But nothing changed.
Anyway, all the channels just woke up by themself. Because of I've tried everything I can, I was waiting for a post and "bing!" they started working.
    Thanks for your help.

  • [nForce] msi k7n2delta ilsr hdd led not work

hi guys, well there is not much to say only that my hdd led not work, rarely i put attention on it, but just when i see... is gone... sniiiff.. i tryed change the led, invert cables, and the raid controller has nothing to do with this issue, sometime ago i have power issues, and during those times the led suddenly "wake up" , then i change the psu, and hdd, now i have sata hdd, and somebody told me the led not work with the 3· ide or sata, culd be the data cable
    thanks

"...yes yes i know that, right now using sata i know the hdd led not work, but when i-m using ide drive either, thas wy i saying may be the ide cable.thanks..." That's not what you said in your first post. IF IDE HDD works (even if HDD led doesn't work) then IDE cable should be OK. Perhaps HDD light case/mobo connection has a problem.

  • Very Strange K7n2delti ILSR Harddisk Issue

    Not happy.
Purchased the system board barton 2500 1 gig 333ram
The ram makes the bois beeps, i'm getting it replaced but my real problem is now with harddisks
Started with a WD1200JB no problems, added a Seagate Serial ATA drive and all of a sudden this problem started happening.
In OS and drive would make this "whirrrr click" sound like it was trying to attempt to read something from the disk but couldnt
Thought it was a problem mixing serial ATA and my WD1200JB, removed the WD1200JB and just used the Serail Seagate.
    Problem still happened.
Used just the WD1200jb installed os.. everything fine for a week again then..
    Problem still happened.
Tried yet another regualr disk everything was fine for a while then
    Problem still happened.
Removed all non essential power drains from the 450psu reset the bois reinstalled just using my usb modem and mouse.
    Problem still happened.
This is not just a windows driver problem with the drivers being as the Whirr click sound can start as soon as boot.
There seems to be no way on the bois to completly disable the promise serial controller.
Think the problem could just be on IDE0 so im thinking is the onboard IO shot on the system board or what??
    Is this a common problem?

post psu max amps 3.3 5 and 12v and make model
^^ Standard 450 job, no idea on details m8, the fact that everything was working for so long and i've removed devices makes me think this aint really the issue now.
is the wd jumperless if it has no slave on the ide
^^ the wd is set to master my other drive set to slave.  However this problem happens whether i use one sata drive only, one ata133 drive only or any combination.  I don't think its the drives.
did you install raid drivers when you tried the sata
^^ Setting up winxp you have to hit f6 to specify the xp promise controller drivers, the os ones were tripple checked.  (However again this problem happened when using only ata133 drives also rules it out)
did you go in raid bios and create an array
^^ Did when using the SATA drive.  when removing the sata drive i tried the ctrl f or whatever the button combo to enter the drive configuration to remove it, but it said bois is not installed etc.  which i took to mean (no drive connected so im not gonna load)
I'm thinking its a problem with the promise controller itself or the onboard i/o  ?(
Thanks for your help its appriciated.

Thanks, I've done that and it's now showing 1800.  Much easier than updating the BIOS.
My temperatures have gone up a bit, though.  CPU is now 47C (was 44C) and system is 37C (was 35C) in PCAlert4, and I'm only on the net and playing mp3s, so it's not exactly hard load!!.  Is this OK?  I really worry about overheating since my old mobo was unstable at lower system temps than this.

  • Two dead K7N2 Delta-ilsr's..

    Greetings...
I seem to have the same probles with this board a LOT of others do...
EXCEPT for the fact eventually the board dies(?)
Just winks out...power goes off...restart evokes a one second blink of power,
then the power switch does nothing...unplug...plug in, hit the power, BLINK, dead...repeat...same results...
    reset cmos...remove cmos battery...restart?
    BLINK...nothing.
strip board of everything one piece at a time down to mobo vid card cpu memory heatsink/fan...reassemble one piece at a time...
    same result.
    help.
(Tried other vid cards...checked all pins and connections everywhere...everything works fine in other machines)
    Ski
antec true 500 (ok other machine voltages good)
    3200xp (ok other machine)
k7n2delta-ilsr (second one, lasted a couplea days longer than the first)
thermalright slk-900/92m vantec tornado (temps good)
2x512 kingmax pc3500 sveral different timings and voltages (single channel, tests OK in other machine)

Tried it outa the case...its outa the case right now.
first board died after a day, second died after 4 days.
ALMOST had everything loaded on the second,
ran 3dmark2001se several times to check temps and performance
and was satisfied...checking my e-mail, BLINK...like the power went out, just like the first one...arrgh. Best 3dmark score was 15,241, BTW...
NO apparent physical damage...if I pull the power cord and stick it back in, I can get it to BLINK once, fans and drives power up for a second.
pulled the vid card and stuck it in this lil KM2M combo,
gonna put the gig of DDR in here too while I'm waiting for a new board...
RMA tomorrow, only I DON'T want to waste any more time
on what amounts to only the SECOND problem of a couplea dozen or so boards I've installed in the last 7 years...last bad board was a shuttle socket 7, BTW...
2 in a row, me and the K7N2 Delta are finished.
Still like to know if anybody else can come up with possible answers,
    might help somebody else...LOL!

Hey guys, I have been having nightmares with my Samsung True pc2700 (samsung chips). Instabilities, beeps up the ying yang...etc. Now I ordered 2 matched xms 3200LL ram modules. These are top of the line. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of ram and K7N2Delta-ILSR mobos? Are they known to have any issues? I sure hope not!

  • Cannot stand by, shutdown won't complete

Even though I have seen similar problems and soutions here, none exactly like this.
I loaded XP fresh on my Nvidia K7N2Delta-ILSR, xaber pro AGP 8X video, kinston 266mhz 512meg ram system. I had APIC 1.4 disabled in the bios, but the ACPI was turned on (Seems like there is no option to turn it off). I Know this cause the Hards disks kept powering down, and I would have to press space bar to start them up.
When system was installed, all seem fine, until I Went to power down. I was left with the "Safe to power off now" message on screen. WHen I rebotoed and checked, there was no ACPI lines in the device manager for "System devices". Also, "Stand by" was not available from the shutdown menu.
I have not been able to solve this. Downloaded the drivers from the MSI site for this nvidia based motherboard, to no avail.
    Anyone with any ideas??
    thanks
    Ron Stransky
other minor issues: Only 2 fan connectors?? Not ENOUGH. Aside from that, GREAT MOBO

I don't shut my computer off at night. When I checked it out this morning, it was unresponsive to mouse, keyboard or via network. I could not turn it off via the power button (Even after holding it in for 10 seconds), and had to turn the power supply off from behind. The machine will no longer boot. It will not power up or power down via the power switch at all, the fans will not spin. I have removed all add in cards except the video, removed all power connections except the one to the motherboard. I Also tried removing the video card. but I could still not get it to power up via the power switch
I found that if I removed the power cord and plugged it back in once or twice, I could get the board to power up (power supply putting out power). I found this out accidently, as I was maing sure that the power cord was in the power supply firmly, I wiggled it a little bit, and it powered up. Lights 1 and 2 are red, 3 & 4 are green, indicating a CPU issue. both Fans are spinning.I swapped the cpu out for another to no avail, and the swapped out CPU boots fine in another computer.
I am at a loss to figure out how to proceed. Any suggestions?
