K7N2G-L Voltages (NVIDIA System Utility)

I looked at NVIDIA system utility and noticed that I have the following voltages;
CPU 1.65
AGP 1.50
MEM 2.50
NF 0.00
AUX 3.23
What is the AUX and why is is so high it is showing red?

Yup, 1.8 is installed, and working, as far as i know! (on boot up and on sisoft sandra, the version is 1.8)
Anyhows, I was just wondering, do all the other K7N2G-ILSR users experience this (with the onboard geforce 4 enabled) I know, I know, im gonna be upgrading to a FX or 9800, but for now im not a FPS junkie! And also the onboard graphics are fine!
BTW, what is the stock voltages, FSB, etc for the AMD Athlon XP 2200?? My cpu seems to be running at 1.79, after installing nvidia system utility!
Thnx for your help guys, and richard, mistakes happen, im rather glad you made a mistake, as that only shows your human! lol
Take care guys! (and gals!)

  • Dont install the Nvidia System Utility!!

Today i had the great idea to install nvidia's system utility to tweak my ram settings in windows.
After that i had a system freeze, no prob normally, but after the restart of my pc, my usb mouse dont work.....i think what ??? ok reboot straight in bios....everything seems like before....i go in the health control and my eyes are burning.....it shows a cpu temp of -123°c,..... ???? Ok i tryed to reset my bios.....restart.....core center shows temps from 3 till -123......my usb mouse still dont work.......i go crazy.....this shi....nvidia tool has modified my bios !!!!!
i only solved the problem with a biosflash "back" to V 1.1, i never used any other biosversion.....so be warned if you install this "tool" or how i call it a "problem"

strange or not ? have any other the same probs with the nvidia utility ?
maybe thats the problem of your wrong temps ?

  • NVIDIA System Utility

I have been reading in the forums the trouble the Nvidia Sys Utility can cause with both the Bios and the USB ports on the K8N. I had already installed it but only use it to check temps/speeds and once to set the AGP bus. Anyway I thought I'd be better off without it and tried to uninstall it. When I went into Control Panel and tried Uninstall I got the following error message "This software requires an NVIDIA nforce2 or nforce3 motherboard to operate. No required products were detected. Installation will now be aborted." I got this error message even though when I run the utility it clearly identify's my mobo. Any ideas on how to get rid of it properely.

just delete the install folder and then use a registry cleaner such as that in tweakxp pro or vcome systemsuite.

  • How I recovered from nVidia System Utility "Damaging" my K8N Neo2 Platinum

The posts I read said to reset CMOS and Reflash. Neither worked.  So here's what I did.
The first thing I tried was just reset the CMOS.  No go.  Then I wanted to re-flash, but my floppy wouldn't read.  So I did:
    1) With Power Supply Plugged into wall and turned on, reset the CMOS
    2) Turned off power supply and unplugged from wall.
    3) Removed CMOS battery
    4) Reinstalled CMOS battery
    5) Waited another minute for capacitors to fully flush any remaining charge
    6) Reflash BIOS
After that, 100% back to normal.
Now in reality, I'm thinking if I would have turned off/unplugged my power supply, and then reset CMOS via jumper, waited a minute, and rebooted then reflash, I'd be ok.  So you could simply the steps above and try that.  But those steps above worked 100%.
Hope this helps someone in the future!

You can clear CMOS by shorting 2-3 pin while the system is off.
Avoid clearing the CMOS while the
system is on; it will damage the mainboard.
There are two methods for clearing the Bios:-
    1) Short Mathod
    1-1) disconnect the power cable.
1-2) push the power button to drain the capacitors
1-3) Move the CMOS jumper to the clear position, from it's original 1-2 position to 2-3
1-4) Wait a minute to be sure the CMOS has been cleared. Take your Time
1-5) Return the CMOS jumper to it's original position 1-2
    1-6) Plug in power cable.
    1-7)restart computer
1-8) enter bios and select load optimized Bios defaults - save & exit
1-9) let pc reboot, if you have any settings you want changing do them now.

Try disconnecting the AC Lead from PSU .
push the power button to drain the capacitors
Remove the battery for the cmos rom .
And place the jbat jumper in discharge (check manual for instructions) .
Leave it until tomorrow like this .
Later ,, first set the jumper back in "keep cmos" position .
    Mount the battery .
Connect AC to the PSU .
And try starting the computer .
When/if bios posts with cmos checksum error .. press F1 or "del" key
Dont use F1 but hit "del" key
and load optimized BIOS defaults + save + exit

  • Nvidia Sys Utility 1.0

Just one ? frist I just downloaded the bios update for this board version 3.9 which adds support for the nvidia system utility under power and speeds there is a gage  called Aux which is in the red at 3.39 everything eles shows norm.
    [

I have recently updated my Bios to V.5.6 in the hopes of using the NSU. However,
the advanced function section of the utility is "grayed" out (unavailable).
Anyone know a work around for this problem. I did a DOS flash on my Bios and
it registers version 5.6 at bootup.
    thanks

  • Nvidia system sentinal

I recently purchased a new system with an MSI geforce FX5900 ultra. The power supply is quite small, as it is a SFF system (unavoidable at the moment).
If the system is running in high performance, read games, for a long period of time, then occasionally i will get a pop up from somthing called the nvidia system sentinal, that will complain about my video card not recieving enough power, and to check its supplemental power connector.
The supplemental connector is attached fine. The problem is not so much the pop up, which also says it is reducing the speed (power, whatever) of the card to try and fix the problem. The problem is that this same pop up message cascades, creating 10s and 10s of rundll processes, and fills up the task lists quite quickly.
Is there a way of making the message appear once? or shut it off?

using 52.16 yes, was on the 45.23 (?) version before and was same issue.
do you think underclocking would help, i currently dont have any tweak programs, and with standard 52.16 drivers i cant alter its clock speed.
are there any tweak programs that tell me voltage used with a 'cut off' level or something...and what underclocking program..lol...should i use?

Solved the problem is very simple - removing the nouveau. I have it was because I was in one blog/forum read that no problem with containing both nvidia and nouveau, but that one of them will be in Blacklist. But he interrupted me to upgrade. But the strangest thing - when I last updated, they do not conflict, but now whoop.
Thanks TigTex and wonder for your help!

  • OS X system utility

    Hi,
can anyone tell me what is the best free system utility for os x? I want something to clean up my hard drive, delete duplicate files, cashes etc and generally make my mac run smoother and faster.

I'd suggest downloading a program called yasu or onyx. Both are great maintenance program. Yasu run everything and Onyx do everything in the autmate tab.
Search macupdate.com for both. The Leopard version of Onyx is in beta, so you might want to go with Yasu.
Yasu is free, but it will ask for a $3.50 donation every time you run it. Onyx does a little more.

  • System utility

Hi. I was trying to run a new program on my iMac called YaSu (system Utility) to perform maintenance. While it was checking the system YaSu stopped running and said to check my logs. So looking at both the system and console logs I'm seeing lots of errors. For instance, in system log there are vast MDS Errors relating to Safari.app. including other types concerning Mail.app. Also I can no longer connect to Safari browser! Fortunately firefox seems o.k. for now at least.
My console log is describing all sorts of different issues too. I don't know where or how to begin fixing the problems.
Can somebody help please tell what I need to do!

Hi Junieart, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.
May even need to do an Archive and Install if you have room on the HD...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
I only use Software Update to see what is needed, then get them for real via...
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/
That way I can wait a week or so, check the forums for potential problems, and get Permissions & such in order before installing.

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 with NVIDIA system freezes (Win7x64)

It appears after perhaps the last update Premiere Pro CC 2014 started freezing during editing. It appears to happen mostly with 4K material and using the Ultra key and alpha blending but may also occur with 4K titles. The sequences are 23.976 1080p, with mixed footage from the Sony A7S (50 Mbps XAVC-S/H.264) and GH4 (4K 100 Mbps H.264). There are also frequent crashes with GPUFoundation.dll (Mercury + CUDA). No freezing with software only rendering. I tried a variety of drivers when using a Quadro 5000 with no change in freeze behavior. I tried a new GTX 770 (clean driver install) and the freeze behavior and GPUFoundation.dll crashes are the same, however now even the mouse freezes. With the Quadro 5000, the entire Windows GUI would freeze (become inactive), however the mouse would still move. Thus, it appears there are issues with both NVidia drivers and Premiere Pro CUDA code path on Windows (app errors shouldn't be able to lock up the entire GUI). GPU Meter shows low GPU and GPU memory utilization during the freezes. The freezes typically occur when switching between clips during playback or scrubbing (more often with fast scrubbing). As a developer, it feels like some kind of semaphore lock / race condition, since during the freezes CPU, GPU, and memory utilization are very low. Additional hardware info: 2010 MacPro 12-Core, 24GB RAM running Win7x64 (with latest updates). Side note: PPro used to hang in memory on exit, but stopped after a recent Microsoft forced update (PPro now crashes sometimes on exit but no longer hangs in memory (used to have to kill it after exiting every time)). Has this been reported before? (A7S XAVC & GH4 4K footage is relatively new)

This crash occurred when dragging Black Video with Noise and other effects on top of alpha composited layers (+3 layers). CUDA turned the rendered area black, so I switched to OpenCL. This crash happened a few minutes later. While this would appear to be an Nvidia driver error (OpenCL), perhaps the developers can investigate. The system is very stable except when doing complex operations in PPro (and only PPro crashes). A tried and true Quadro 5000 crashed in the same way (totally different hardware and drivers).
The full debug info wouldn't post, edited shorter:

  • New Nvidia System Tool available, Ver 6.01 Mar 31, 2008

Ah, just noticed Nvidia has a new System tools available for those that want to check the ESA status of their systems.  Personally, I like the "Performance" software for overclocking video cards..the rest of the package just doesnt appeal to me.  You can install any of the three packages individually.   The software is available by selecting "Beta drivers"..."Nforce".."Software", and then choosing your individual operating system.

  • Power Problem: Nvidia System Sentinel

    Hello,
I've been experiencing a problem with my BFG 6800GT OC PCI-express video card. This is actually the second BFG card I have tried (The first one was RMA'ed because of an artifacting problem). When I turn my computer on, I often get a popup like this:
    http://www.missouri.edu/~pecyq2/Pictures/powerproblem.jpg
If I don't receive this popup at startup, It surely comes when I try to play any gpu-strenuous game.
I checked the clock speeds and such in Everest home edition. GPU Clock 425mhz, Memory clock 528Mhz. Whoa! as far as I know, 6800gt OC are only supposed to be 370mhz clock, and this was without any overclocking whatsoever on any part of my machine. I checked my bios for any different settings, and everything seemed normal, no "aggressive timings, or performance mode's". By the way, I am using the Nvidia 77.77 drivers (I have tried just about any driver I could get my hands on.)
I restarted again, and then crashed on 3dmark. This time I got the same message and i checked the clock speeds in everest. It was something like 203mhz, a huge underclock. Also, the crash was accompanied with this message http://www.myfilestash.com/userfiles/paTz0r/Direct3d%20fail.jpg
I have checked the clock speeds a few more times when I received the errors, and it generally seems to be between 6 and 200mhz clock speeds. Ive done a lot of research online on how to remedy this problem, and all I can find is instructions to plug in a molex connector from my psu to my card, which I have done already. Ive read that Leadtek had one of its customers flash the cards bios, but as far as I can see there is nothing similar on the BFG website.
By the way, Heres my system specs.
    AMD64 3700+ sandiego core socket939
    MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI, socket 939, nforce 4
    1gb ocz platinum revision 2 ram, DDR400 PC3200, timings 2-2-2-5 (2T) @ 2.7volts
500w antec smart power (36amps on split 12V rail)
Also, I am running Windows XP Professional
    Nvidia Forceware 77.77 Video Drivers
    And Phoenix AwardBIOS 3.4
I rolled back to the 77.77 drivers (from several earlier ones, as instructed by BFG), and still had the same clock speeds and problems. Ive manually changed the clock speeds with coolbits to the normal 350/1000 that a 6800gt runs at, but it has the same problem. Im feeling hopeless right now, any advice would be great.

Ok, today I took out my vid card, and made sure that I have the molex connector in the only way that it will fit. Then I put the card back in, making sure that it was seated correctly. My setup of the molex connector looks like this:
    PSU:: ---molex---:: video card.
The only things connected to the molex connector are the video card and the psu, and the connector is connected to the bottom 2x3 jack in the psu. (Ive also tried the 2nd and 3rd jacks).
I then unistalled the 77.77 drivers, ran a driver cleaner to delete the old files, and then installed the 78.01 drivers. Next, I ran a loop of 3DMark05 to check for problems/artifacting. The first run went fine, without any power problems, but the second run failed on the second game (the green thing in the forest) giving me a popup like this and this
I was wondering if temperature might have something to do with the problem, since it took a while for the error to come up. My next idea is to try to open up the case when I try the 3dmark05 loop, and see if the same problem comes as quickly. The only problem is that now when I restart my comp, it has that power indicator problem at startup.

  • [REQ][Arch64] lib32-nvidia-96xx-utils

    Hello.
    I've got a Geforce 4 ti4200, and I'm trying to play etpro.
The textures are ugly and the FPS much worse than my old 32bit Arch installation.
The problem should be that I've installed the 97xx series utils, and not the 86xx 32bit series.

  • Is there any system utility that can log your time in FCP?

In one of the threads someone suggested keeping a time log of time spent on projects. Does anyone here know of a utility that will automatically log your editing time? So you could go back and see that you spent from 1 to 3 on Saturday working on project A in FCP, DVDSP, etc?

    try...

of course on Saturday you were really hung over so you didn't get much work done, so should you really bill for it?
