K7N420 Pro Issue with Bios 2.7

I was able to get my computer up and running this weekend with Windows XP and the Nvidia 2.0 Unified drivers with no problems. I then decided to flash my bios to get the latest updates so I flashed to 2.7. Then on reboot the system hung. The D-Card had 3 green lights and one amber light in the upper right hand corner if looking at the back of the PC. I rebooted the system after unplugging the power and it booted fine. Then as I was working on other things and had to shutdown and reboot, It would hang on shutdown, sometimes with 4 red lights, but would only reboot after unplugging the computer. I tried switching off, resetting, which usually lites the harddrive led only, but nothing would clear the fault until I unplugged. It then would reboot fine.

never had any problems with the bios
clear cmos after unplugging
reset your bios options 133/266/66
try default if using hp before
make sure apic is same as you have now as cmos turns it to disable and most run enabled
reseat ram as thats what lights said
think most use 1,2 with this,bu mine care 1,3 and ive never had a problem
try http://www.memtest86.com on ram,full test in options

Retina 13" macbook pro issue with defective USB ports?

I have a late 2013 13" macbook pro with retina display. I'm having persistent issues with both USB ports. Connected peripherals like keyboards or external USB drives either will not be recognized at all, or will take a very long time (minutes) to be recognized by the system.
I'm running the latest version of Mavericks OS X 10.9 (13A2093) at the moment, which includes the keyboard/trackpad firmware fix that addressed initial issues with this series of laptops.
I took it to the local Genius Bar a few days ago and the Apple Genius was able to get an external USB drive to mount (eventually) on each port, but now it seems that waiting several minutes for the external device/drive to be recognized does no good.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Here is an example of devices you should see in the Device Manager. Can you check what you have?

Adobe Premiere Pro Issues with Maverick

Hello Apple friends, photographers, and video editors
Since I installed Maverick, I have the following issues with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6:
Why in **** did I update before waiting 6 months...
- browser window flashes on then disapears when importing new files.
- browser window sometimes shows all items gryed out when importing files.
- cannot "Link Media" by example multiple TIFF and one EDL file for subtitles. 1st time menu quickly appears then disapears, then all is greyed out.
I have a mid 2012 Macbook PRo Retina with SSD @ 50% capacity. All else is extremely fast.
All my Adobe Master Collection CS6 is up to date.

Suggest you post on the Adobe forums since it's their software you're having issues with.

Issues with bios 1A0 Z87-GD65

Hey !
so i updated my bios to the new 1A0 bios and since then I've got an issue with the PC that it wont shutdown or go to sleep.
I have to force shutdown by pressing the button and after that it works perfectly when i boot again.
The weird thing is last night i could shutdown fine after 16h idle. This has happened twice now so I'm checking if anyone else has the issue or that there is a known bug?

Wow that sounds like it sucks: I've been able to solve tons of problems with my computer, first Z87-G45 (never RMAed) it's been stable a few months and I expect it to be stable indefinitely. The first over four months an official NVidia driver was causing my computer to completely lock up about every six hours, this is the GeForce forms thread from that: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/672846/?comment=4211121. It took me 4 months to finally catch nvstreamsvc.exe leaking, and ultimately lock up the computer. You can see at the end of the topic an NVidia rep says the bug is fixed in the latest version of GeForce Experience, that's all that NVidia had to comment on that bug (pretty pathetic support).
I figured out why the computer wasn't idling to sleep which is in my last reply.

I figured out to get Adobe Illustrator CS2 to work correctly on Windows 8.1 I have to enable XP SP3, and Disable display scaling on high DPI settings compatibility features.
I am just accepting that Intel Rapid Start doesn't work, but hopefully will with driver updates. Just like SLI in the beginning.
Those bugs I figured out on my own by hours upon hours of troubleshooting myself. No support phone call or e-mail was ever helpful at all in figuring out those bugs. Once in a while someone is helpful and is better than me but rarely. I hope you take that with a sense of humor, and I just thought I'd dump some troubleshooting solutions out there, if you ever run into anything.

Acrobat 9 Pro issues with printing and now updating !!! :(

I had an issues with printing from my gmail account or from windows live mail
so I made a complete re-installation
now I am stuck with version 9.3.0 and when I check for updates I get a message
UPDATER IS ALREADY RUNNING
only... it's not running and nothing is updating !
I made a restart... just in case... it did not change anything
as to the printing issue, in case some of you have met it and cleared it...(hope)
this was with version 9.5.0
I get no error message but no pdf is created, only a text document with this :

the font association problem is something recent though, since I used acrobat to print mails directly from my gmail account previously...
it's galling but I installed a free pdf printer which does the job, I needed copies of these mails urgently !
as to the update issue, I see no aum.exe, msiexec.exe or setup.exe running... but that's quite above my head... do I look for those exact processes or are they generic names for processes ?
does my question make sense ????

Acrobat 9 Pro issues with thumbnails.

I've noticed the following issues in Acrobat 9 Pro. Any ideas on these would be helpful.
In the thumbnails view, for larger documents, the last page (thumbnail) is always out of view and I can't scroll down any further to see it.
In previous versions, to replace a page, I could drag a page from another PDF and hover over the thumbnail page number. When the thumbnail was highlighted, that page would be replaced with the new one.

Acrobat X Reader / Pro Issue with Window border resizing / flickering

I have installed Acrobat X Pro and Acrobat X Reader on a new computer. This is the only program on my entire computer that has problems.
The problem occurs only with the menu bar (F9) displayed and when a PDF document is open.
When resizing the window of either Reader or Pro with a PDF open, there is a "flicker" where the program border rapidly flashes between showing the program border and hiding it. Turning off the menu bar makes the issue go away. Even though I turn off the menu bar, each time I open Acrobat Reader or Pro the menu bar is displayed again. I've completely uninstalled the software, used the Adobe Cleaner software, and tried installing a newer version (Reader XI). I still have the same problem. See a screenshot below.
Can you please provide some ideas of what could be wrong?

It turns out the issue was related to a bug in Kaspersky Antivirus 2015. The solution was to uninstall the current version and install a slightly older version 15.0.1.415 The flickering issue was solved.

Any Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro issues with vista ?

im going to buy Sound Blaster? X-Fi? Elite Pro for vista32 +5500z speakers. anyone have any installation issues etc...

My macbook pros issue with battery.

I have a 13-inch macbook pro thats model was probably released around mid 2012. Last week I found my macbook to be completly off, I tried the power button, it didnt work, even though It was plugged in. But the charger was not even lit. I checked on another computer and it seemed to be working fine. I've learned that the battery was dead so I replaced it with another macbook pro I had that broke a while back. I replaced it and it worked, for a while. after an hour or so, It ended up not being recognized. I've tried using SMC and other methods which tell me to press the power button after, but every time i try to plug in the magsafe, it just turns it self on, and the battery is still not charging or being recognized in that matter. I'm all out of options. :I

Final Cut Pro issues with 10.5!

I realize this is a FCP issue but it's attributed directly to Leopard v10.5. We're not getting any answers over at the FCP Discussion pages. There is much more to these issues than I have written up. Wanted to keep it vague so as not to clutter this Discussion with un-necessary banter. Hopefully someone at Apple will notice this???
These issues are costing a lot of editors a ton of money!
When importing video/audio from P2 cards the clips will load but not import to internal/external drive. There is an error ! that gives no reason for the error. The only way to ingest video/audio is through a long and tedious method that completely takes away the reason the P2 workflow exists. When ctrl clicking a dissolve on the end of a clip that goes to black, the actual effect does not appear on the main monitor. The only way to make the dissolve work is to individually render it (even though you don't have to it's a real time effect). You can do a manual dissolve with the pen tool.
Both these breaks/bugs/issues cost post production a ton of time which translates into a ton of our livelihood. Can anyone at Apple help? When is the next software update coming and will it have the FCP Studio 2 fixes?

What do you mean the interface crashes but the program carries on running? Do the windows just disappear?
Also, if it happens on a lot of programs, it is an indication that something is screwed up on your whole system and I know people hate hearing this but it is at this point that you should consider doing an Erase and Install of your operating system.

Logic Pro Issues with iSight Camera

I have been working a problem for two months that I thought was a Firewire problem. It started having the problem after installing my new TC Electronic ProwerCore Firewire. I look at everything including LaCie Hard Drives to my RME Firewire 800 IO. Then I stumble on the problem. It was my isight camera. Just plugged in was causing problems.
Problems apeared as IO comunication errors in many different forms and different errors depending on the plugin have the issue.

We rarely hear about such high-end production equipment here, but Firewire connected and AV devices are always conflict candidates.
Your hardware conflict with iSight make my scanner conflict seem really mundane.

HT4796 New MacBook Pro - issues with transferring info from old computer

transfer of data from a windows computer to a new MacBook Pro seemed to be proceeding smoothly with an original estimate of installation time of about 4 hours. Seems to have frozen up with 1 hour 22 minutes left - help!

If you are migrating using an Ethernet cable, unplug and plug it, so this transfer should continue. If this doesn't work, restart both and start the transfer again.
There are different ways to transfer files from another Mac or PC. The only way to transfer files from a PC is by using Wi-Fi or Ethernet, the worst for Migration Assistant because they fail and are the slowest ways

Macbook Pro issues with WRT120 in 11n mode

WRT120 in N mode have the following problems
- When MBP wake from sleep, the wireless scan takes awhile (10s?) to find the router but doesn't connect. Forcing a connection to the router works.
- Occurs on 2 MBPs. A 2011 model and a 2008 model
- I can confirm the radio is in N mode by inspecting System Report->Wi-Fi->SSID->PHY Mode.
- Security is WPA2 Personal with TK2 or AES
Usability problem is bascially opening the MBP screen to wake up from sleep results in no network connection unless user force the connection.
WRT120 running the latest firmware (v1.0.07 build 2 released in 6/28/2012)
If I set to G mode (Mixed or B/G mode) with WEP. The wake from sleep scan finds SSID right away and connects perfectly quickly

I'm running latest OSX Lion on both MPBs and there are no additional driver updates.
The wireless chipsets are interesting.
- 2008 MBP has a Atheros WiFi chip
- 2011 MBP has a BroadCom WiFi chip
- WRT120N has a Atheres chip
There does seem to be quite a few problems with OSX Lion and WiFi connections. There are lots of online postings. This problem seems to be on Apple's end so I may have to wait for Mountain Lion to see if there is a fix.

Macbook Pro - issues with Display

I've been linking my Macbook Pro to my display but when I need to unplug my computer from the display, I put my computer to sleep first and then unplug all the cables. Then, when I try to turn my computer on from sleep mode (again, not connected to the display), it won't turn on and I have to restart my computer.
Also, is there a key where you can either use both displays (display and laptop display), vs just use the display itself (black screen on laptop display).

i have got the same **ing problem today,
as everyone here did, i heard the sound ,but the screen just stay black forever,
i try some methods, but they don't work.
I wonder if i need to send it to the apple store. I think apple should update some hardware for as during the repair.
My MBP was brought one year ago, and i love it very much.
Luckly, i have back up most of the important things.
