K8N Diamond (MS-7220) and Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2 RAM issues no POST

So a long time ago in a galaxy far far away I built this little beast and it rocked.  Initially had some issues getting the memory into dual-channel goodness and determined the RAM was bunk and Corsair RMA'd it.  Since then I've setup RAID0+1, SLI'd the video and life has been high performance gaming loveliness (hey, c'mon, all I play is CounterStrike so it works for me).
Now, not so much.  Recently when powering up or rebooting, the D-bracket would stop with only #2 lit green, the rest and angry red.  The trusty troubleshooters say it is bad RAM.  I occasionally had luck reseating the RAM or moving it to the other slot pair, but now it just refuses to budge, at all, regarless of module combos or slots.
I am in the process of RMA'ing the memory a second time, but before I ship it off does anybody have any other suggestions for what I can try?  I already tried resetting the BIOS to no avail.

use 1st two DIMM slots near to CPU socket, remove power cord from the PSU then Clear CMOS again.
try to boot.
if no change test each of memory sticks individually (use 1st DIMM slot) with Memtest86
post back results.
Yeah, tried that.  I usually run in slots 1/2... tried swapping modules (put 2 in 1 and 1 in 2), moving both to slots 3/4, swapping 3/4 around, tried individual sticks in 1-4 and all to no avail.  Tried resetting BIOS also and still no dice.  I think the memory finally gave up the ghost.

  • MSI x58 ProE and Corsair 12GB (3x4GB) RAM Issues

    Greetings!
New poster here with a question that I cannot seem to find an answer to anywhere. I've looked over the forums but have had no luck figuring it out. My goal is to identify the culprit and replace the appropriate parts.
I built this computer in 2009 with the intention of doing OpenCL/CUDA computing and handle all my multimedia. At the time, 6GB DDR3 RAM (3x2GB) was about all I could afford. The machine works great, but lately, attempting to do some video and image processing has been hitting limits on my available RAM. I also want to run a linux VM or two. I thought I would order the Corsair 3x4GB DDR3 kit from NewEgg and not have any problems upgrading. I didn't have any plans of running the 6 and 12 GB sets simultaneously because I thought there would be some sort of memory density/timing issues.
New RAM desired: Corsair Dominator with DHX Pro Connector and Airflow II Fan - DDR3 Memory Kit (CMP12GX3M3A1600C9)
Old RAM in system: Corsair Dominator with DHX Pro Connector - 6GB Triple Channel (CMP6GX3M3A1600C8)
Request 1: Can I mix the 6 and 12 GB sets (for a total of 18GB) if I keep the density the same across each set of slots? There are 3 black (primary) and 3 blue (secondary). I was thinking of putting the 12GB in black, and 6GB in Blue.
I placed the order, received it, and went to install it yesterday. Took the existing 6GB out and dropped the 12GB in, saw that BIOS recogized it with the right timings, and proceeded to boot Windows up. Blue-screen at the very first Windows logo. I thought "well that stinks, let's check to see if the RAM is defective through MemTest." Downloaded an ISO of 4.2, fired it up, and it hung right away. Hung in the "Address Test, Own Address" test. Big fat A note: BIOS and MemTest both recognized the full capacity of the sticks.
My next thought was "Well, one of them might be bad, let's try to find out which one." I individually put each one in the first slot on the board, ran MemTest, and showed 0 problems on any tests with each of them.
Summary thus far: Individually, each 4GB stick works perfectly. In combination, they fail. The full 3x2GB set works perfectly.
My next theory was that my board might be bad (even though the 3x2GB set in the same slots has no issues). Knowing that the first slot was good with every bit of memory I put in there, I left a 4GB stick in slot 1, and dropped a 4GB stick in slot 2. MemTest hung again. Thinking it might have been that one stick, I put the other one in there, and it hung also. So, slot 2 looks suspect. Move the sticks to 1&3, and they look fine, but that still leaves me missing 4GB of RAM.
I've followed advice and re-seated the CPU, looked for bent pins (none found), and tried manually setting the timings to the 9-9-9-24 that is printed on the sticks. No luck with any of that.
Request 2: So, my question to you is what am I missing? I feel like the board is the problem, due to the slot 2 problem with the 4GB sticks. However, my 2GB sticks don't have any problems at all in the same slots. Could the 4GB sticks require a little more power that my board might not be pushing out (the board is labeled at 1.5V, the sticks are labeled 9-9-9-24, 1.65V)? Would a bent pin be causing this that my eyes just cannot see? I read somewhere that a guy had a pin that was 0.25mm off that was causing his problems.
Or should I be looking at the memory? The 3x2GB set works fine, but the 3x4GB does not.
I'm not sure what my next step should be other than replace the RAM first, motherboard second. The RAM I just got, so I could RMA it if I knew exactly what the problem was. The motherboard is approaching 3 years old and presumably is out of warranty. I wouldn't mind replacing it, but I don't want to spend money right now if I don't have to.
I don't have a second machine to test on, although I'm trying to locate one (most of my friends don't build custom PCs). I have also tried putting the 6GB in the black slots and 12GB in the blue, but the machine doesn't work with that configuration either.
Request 3: Could someone explain how I could aim for 1066MHz on my RAM? I read that on the X58 Pro-E that this resolves most problems with random bluescreens. When I try to do this, I get lost in the numbers/options within the BIOS.
Anything else I might be missing? I'm out of ideas
Thank you all so much for the help!

    Hi and welcome,
You have 2 "bottlenecks": the processor and the mainboard.
    http://ark.intel.com/products/37147/Intel-Core-i7-920-Processor-8M-Cache-2_66-GHz-4_80-GTs-Intel-QPI
Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) : 24 GB
    Memory Types : DDR3-800/1066
    Memory Channels : 3
    Max Memory Bandwidth : 25.6 GB/s
    http://www.msi.com/product/mb/X58-Pro-E.html#/?div=Detail
    • Supports six unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 800/1066/1333*/1600* (OC) DRAM, 24GB Max
As you can see, above 1066MHz you need to overclock both the processor and the mainboard.
    I think for your config the best shot is 3 x 4GB DDR3-1333 (9-9-9-24 at 1.55-1.60V)

  • K8N Diamond Plus, SLI and Creative X-Fi cards, anyone running similar?

    Hi there!
I've got an ASUS A8N32-SLI board and my X-Fi card does not work with it, nor does it for many other people with similar setups.
    See here:
    http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=soundblaster&message.id=31426
    and here:
    http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=soundblaster&message.id=26289
I get crackling and popping noises when running most games, e.g. BF2, Fear, FarCry.  When my 2x7800GTX's are in SLI mode it crackles loads, e.g. start far cry, click options, and listen.  When i disable SLI mode it crackles less, but it still crackles.  Many others encounter similar issues with their systems that are not identical but the symptoms are similar - high load = crackling/popping.
    My question is:
Is anyone here sucessfully running any X-Fi card (music, fatality, elite pro, etc) with 2x video cards and NO crackling/popping in BF2, FEAR and FarCry?
I've already had a replacement X-Fi card from creative which their tech guy said "should" fix it, lol, I'm wondering wether to replace my A8N32-SLI with an K8N Diamond Plus to fix the problem.  Besides, the MSI board has better PCI slot location and works with nTune too unlike the ASUS board.

    What's going on guys.
I hate to see peep's having soooo many prob's and it sucks major BALLZ. The reason why I'm reposting is that I encountered a new issue. Not with my rig, but a friend's.
We pretty much have the same setup. Differences are he's using 2GB of Corsair DDR400 (which is picking up as DDR333 as well), different branded video cards (I'm running two EVGA 7800GT's in SLi, he's running two BFG 7800GT's in SLi), XFi Platinum (me, Fatality Edition) and he's got a dedicated ITE RAID PCI card for his RAID from his previous rig. Configured his BIOS pretty much the same way I have it running (he wanted to Overclock his AMD x2 4400+ to 2.6 GHz), but when it came to installing Windows we kept getting BSOD's during installation. Looked over things numerous times and it didn't make sense. We resetted the BIOS to default settings and Windows went through without a hitch. We tried OC'ing it one more time and Windows was fine. But, when he installed and ran Quake 4, either Windows or the game would just lock up. He booted back into the BIOS and put the CPU back at stock frequency of 2.2 GHz. Game ran flawlessly afterwards. That points at the processor. The only differences were we both have different stock fans and his CPU was manufactured in July '05. Mine in Sept '05. His rig also reports the infamous "Phantom" PCI modem as well.
Quake 4 is the only game he's got installed so far, but he reports everything is set to their highest qualities, including resolution. He said it runs great with no anomalies. He's going to install Dawn of War and Winter Assault later I know.
Me? I haven't run into any issues with any games either, including F.E.A.R. as Hydrasworld asked. Both of our sound cards are in the Communication PCI Slot of the motherboard. My take on the OC issue is since we're using different proc's from different wafers, maybe my chip had revisions in September that the July proc my friend has didn't. Also, his heatsink has one less copper pipe I noticed. I'll still drop by for help. Good luck to you all and the only other thing I can add is try using the latest drivers for each piece of hardware you've got.
    LPB
P.S. If you can and you purchased a retail version of the processor, on one of the sides of the carton insert for the processor, a date should be printed. Maybe that can explain some issues. Once more, my proc was manufactured September 15th, 2005.

  • MSI P43 Neo F and Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz Ram?

Hi...I am planning to buy Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz RAM (2GB), but since this board does not support this speed natively, can anyone please tell will I be able to use this RAM?
If I will have to overclock the RAM then what is the simplest procedure? I have never OCd the RAM so please tell me what steps should I tak to do this?
    Regards

In case of stability problems with DDR2-1066 operation, you can always run those sticks @DDR2-800 (which is actually their true native speed). To set the memory to DDR2-1066 (or DDR2-800) you need to use the FSB/DRAM Ratio Option in BIOS Setup (Cell Menu).  Please note that in order to have a chance for stable DDR2-1066 operation, you need to overvolt the modules as well (check Corsair recommendations).

  • K8N Diamond plus HSF and memory compatability question

I am considering this board since I need a good onboard sound chip to utilize my front breakout box.    At this time I have an opteron 180, a Zalman 7700 and 2 gb kit of Corsair XMS TWINX2048-3500LLPRO on the way from ZZF.  I had planned on using this on an Asus A8N SLI deluxe but if the hardware is compatible I would rather have the SB onboard than the Realtek on the Asus.
Does anyone know if the Zalman will fit on this board and clear the northbridge heatsink and fan?  I had seen in another post the the MSI boards might not care for Corsair to well,  any validation on this?
    Thanks!

    Tricker61,
As you can see by my signature I am using the Diamond Plus with a full two pair of TWINX2048-3500LLPRO’s.
It was not plug them in a go, but it just requires setting the memory up manually, which is really set forward.
The only problem is that the current BIOS do not the memory to SPD values and here is a list of setting you will have to set manually.
    (1)   FSB/Memory Ratio is set by default to 1:2, which needs to be changed to 1:1.
    (2)   Memory Module Voltage Corsair spec is 2.7 – 2.9, default BIOS setting is 6.5V.  I am running mine at 2,75V.
    (3)   Corsair spec timing 2,3,2,6, BIOS Default is 2,3,2,5 so you need to set that.
As far as memory set for your Corsair memory you have they are working fine and system is stable.
You wanted 2.6 GHz; I am currently run FSB of 225 MHZ and with default multiplier of x12, which is one BIOS defaults that is correct.  My system running solid at 2.7 GHz and the memory is running DDR450, which better the Corsair spec.
Therefore, with the memory modules you should get the performance you said you wanted.  I feel with all the memory setting corrected I could running it up more, first 225 MHz is the speed I could not make with default BIOS setting and I am not and Over-clocker like you, if want a good solid fast system.
If you have not purchased a case yet, make it a big one with lots of fans.  I am using the Cooler Master CM Stacker 810 and have just moded the case to add two extra right side 120mm input fans in place of the stock 80mm fan and I am just starting to get the system temperatures under control.  With to two new fans that makes 4 120mm input fans and 120mm, 85mm and the power supplies 135mm fan for exhaust.  I have been using 120mm fan with 35 to 40 CFM each, to try and keep the noise down, but it looks like an a few more CFM to input fans and put up with the added.  But it is a nice system now, you the noise of the air flow , but no actual fan sounds, except for the Graphics Card when is cycles it fan to high speed, which much less with two add right side 120mm fans.
Hope this information helps you selecting components for your new system.
    Roger
When submitting a problem, include a complete list of your system components; include part numbers, all Power Supply Voltages, and their output ratings.  It is almost impossible to estimate what your problem is without knowing something about it.

  • K8n Diamond SLi 7100 and OCZ PC4800 RAM

    Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if the OCZ PC4800 DDR600 2.5-4-4-10 Dual Channel RAM works ok in this board?
I know it needs 2.85v which is achievable, but would like to know if it will work with these "picky" motherboards.
The OCZ spec says that it is tested at 2T and will work at 1T in some boards....does this include the Diamond board?
Failing that the next best would be Adata Vitesta PC4800 modules, but these need more volts and run at CAS3....and cannot get higher volts without a mod.
    Any info would be great.

Most boards I've used have dual channel on the bank 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 but my board has it on bank 1&2 or 3&4. Is this the usual setup for MSI? Seems a little strange, I was going to buy ram with heat spreaders but I don't think they will fit.
they fit. i have heatspreaders on mine and had no problems. also there are many users using corsairs, which have the bulkiest heatspreader around.

  • Strange findings with K8N DIamond/Platinum SLI and BIOS 3.6

Having toiled for weeks trying to get my machine to run at 1T timings fully stable at memory speed 550DDR, I have finally done it.
What you have to do is this...make sure that your NB voltage is the same or greater than your CPU Voltage.
I had my CPU at 1.45+6.6% =1.546v and my NB at 1.5v. This would not work.
I found out by accidentally putting 1.6v through the NB and Voila!
Not only that but the RAM is now doing great at 285MHz (570DDR with 2.5-4-4-8 1T at 2.80v).
All been stable through all benchmarks and SuperPi/Memtest for 2 days in total now.
    Updating my profile to match.
    My God it feels good.
I hope that this helps some folk who have stability problems in any area.
    K6dude

I have not tried the 3.7 BIOS, as it is all working well. I don't want to inherit any new bugs...I'll wait until someone tests it all properly.
I wish that the 183 mem divider would be put back, I'm having to adjust it from 166 to 183 with A64Tweaker on startup.
Anyone know if 3.7/1.7 has the 183 divider?
Yes I was only successful current CPU speed with BIOS 3.2, 3.5 and 3.6, so try 3.6 and maybe 3.7 with my settings...you might be lucky.
After you have flashed your BIOS, reset the CMOS button TWICE...and make sure that the PSU has no power going into it and you have no seperately powered USB devices attached while you reset it (This has found to be the case for me with my USB Keyboard/mouse devices), otherwise it will not reset properly and some of your old bugs could still be there.
What week Venice CPU do you have...0517 is mine and it is so far one of the best batches...this could make a difference in some cases.

  • K8N Neo2 Chipset cooling and 1.8 BIOS/temps issue

Hi,  Not really a problem thread, more some resolutions I want to share (didn't have much luck finding these answers so thought this might help someone...)
First - I've replaced my chipset cooler with the Vantec CCB-A1C (Copper).  I think mine is a fairly late revision board (though I forgot to record/photograph the chip while it was bare  ) but the stock HS had the usual rubbish tiny spot of gunk slightly off centre.  Gave it a nice (thin but even) layer of AS5 before fitting the Vantec and quite happy with the results:  The Vantec is actually considerably louder than the stock fan but by using Speedfan to throttle it back to 50% it becomes almost silent and the chipset temp hardly rises above 26C now (32C idle rising to 40+ under load previously).
And on the temps issue - I flashed the official 1.8 BIOS a little while ago and was disturbed to see my CPU temp go from high 30s to around 19C!  There was no way that could have been correct (at least 10 degrees lower than ambient?  I'm running an XP-90 but it's not magic!).
So I've been looking for news on these 1.9 bioses and popped in here http://www.lejabeach.com/MSIK8N/k8nneo2.html and found the 1.8F bios.  Have flashed and now my CPU is reporting 26C which is at least a bit more like it!  My system temp is stable at ~38C, but I have no idea of the location of that sensor so there could be other factors keeping that one high.
One question - does anyone have a definitive list of settings/temp offsets etc for Speedfan?  And maybe some diagrams showing sensor locations?  /hopeful
Apologies if any of this is old news of course!
    My Specs:
    Antec TrueBlue 480W
    A64 3500+ Winchester w/XP-90
    K8N Neo2 Platinum
    1GB Corsair TwinX-XL
    Club3d 6800GT w/Arctic NV5 rev2
Twin Maxtor 160GB SATA Raid 1
    Creative Audigy 2

are you looking at your bios or are you using something like motherboard monitor?
oh yeah.. btw.. the case temp thermometer is top left... i discovered this with a 120mm fan pushing air over places on the motherboard

  • Problem with MSI P45 Platinum DDR2 mainboard and Corsair Dominator PC8500C5D Ram

Hi, I have encountered with a problem.
    First I had

    Intel E8400
    Corsair Dominator PC8500C5D 2x1Gb
2 Asus ATI EAH 3870 Crossfire
and it was running with windows XP without any problems.
Problems began when I decided to upgrade to 6Gb of ram and to install Vista 64. Ram modules witch I bought are the same Corsair Dominator PC8500C5D, but 2x2GB.
When i put them together adjust voltage 2.1v and timing 5-5-5-15 they fail mem test with huge amount of errors.
when I test only 2x2gb modules memtest sometimes doesn't open at all, sometimes just stops working on 8 minutes of test. couple of times they completed memtest without any errors.
Can someone advice what should I do and what could the problem?
    Thank you for your answers.

    1) the modules are not the same (the DDR2 chips are different)
    2) as general rule, mixing 2x1GB with 2x2GB is a bad idea.

  • MSI Z68A-GD80(G3) and Corsair's New RAM

Yeah, ok, it all looks great, but how do they work together outside of a test laboratory in a real world home built pc?
That question was answered very quickly, without any special fiddling about required beyond normal setting changes.
When the Corsair kit was installed, the usual 'Memory Has Changed' screen popped up. No big deal, a simple check in the UEFI/BIOS looked like everything defaulted to ensure a successful post and bootup. Yup, that's exactly what took place. Corsair took the right approach IMO to set the profile to default to DDR3 1333. At the next restart, it was a simple matter to set the manufacturer's recommended rated speed of 2133, CR 1, 9 11 10 27, tRFC 171 on Auto DRAM V. Posted and booted right up.
Yeah, ok, how about if 8GB isn't enough RAM for me?
Figured that might be a question asked. Here is the finding. To make it more real, often pc builders buy components at different times. This can be problematic, but that is best discussed on a case by case basis. Back to the answer. Purchased on purpose a kit from a different batch, even the serial numbers were way apart. After they were installed, the usual 'Mem. Change' screen again, but at F10 - Enter, it posted and booted right up! No increase of DRAM V. was required. In fact, with it set to Auto, the 'Read Only' actually shows the voltage to be 1.472v's (by meter, it was just below 1.50v's).
Note that CPU-Z X.M.P. for this RAM shows wrong. In the UEFI/BIOS, Memory-Z, it shows correctly.
Conclusion? I would say MSI mainboards and this RAM are going to work out just fine together.

Quote from: Bernhard on 14-September-12, 11:14:44
That formula may be a good rule of thumb, or may have worked with DDR and DDR2, but looking at JEDEC standard 1333, that would already be out. 9.9.9.24 is the standard. that would mean the 24 should be 20, which it's not. Maybe for OC'ing it may be an indicator of how far you can tighten them
These are all tweaks that probably cannot be realised anywhere else but in benchmarks and tests as performed here.
But its nice to compare similar or the same memory on similar platforms and see how close the performance figures are, yet highlight also how they differ, even at the same settings. Good to see for newbie OC'ers that even at the same settings, no two rigs will ever be the same.
That makes sense, since I tried to look the article up again (from Mushkin actually), and the article appears to be so old, they took it down.
It is quite surprising how close our bench results really are! It is also interesting how different systems with the same memory react to timings. Learned some good things in this thread, and once again, glad I made the purchase!

  • K8N Neo Platinum RMA and Processor RMA...Still No Post

I recently RMA'd my MSI K8N Neo Platinum nForce3 board after trying all the stickied information at the top.
I received the board and still my system did not post....soooo, I RMA'd the processor (AMD 64 3000+) and got a new one.
I just tried to put my system back together and still no post.
My Video card (Radeon 9800 Pro) and Ram (OCZ 512) test out ok in another computer (not an AMD 64)
I also recently purchased a new 450 Watt Power Supply.
However, when I put everything together, it doesn't post and doesn't beep. The D-Bracket for the record is all Red LEDs, although I've read some threads that say that doesn't necessarily mean the processor is dead/seated incorrectly.
    Help me! Thanks.

Try another keyboard , disconnect jusb1/jusb2 internal connections to case front panel or multicard reader device .
Also try to get the system to post without any hd/opticals connected to ide or sata ports .
After changing/disconnecting things do a cmos reset and try again .
There must be something in your rig preventing post if yo've received a new mobo from rma , and cpu too .

Please read this topic. It's a bunch of info, but it will tell you a lot about this board. Your DRAM is not the issue at hand, BIOS 1.2 is. Flash 1.51 beta to overclock stable. CAS Latency 4 is not an option in the current BIOS versions, it gets set to 3. So for the time being it's either CAS 5 or CAS 3.

    teshlachris,
iTunes, like other applications, will sometimes have issues trying to install from a different admin user than the one used to first install it.
Did your son install iTunes with a different account? If so, your previous post did not include the fact your son had previously installed iTunes, or I would have suggested trying the install while logged in under his account.

  • I need help DDR voltage and latencies (K8N Diamond Plus)

I noticed my DDR voltage was incorrect in the bios and I don't know what "Auto" is doing with my timings. I have 2GB of Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2 DDR400 Memory installed on DIMM1 and DIMM2 of my K8N Diamond Plus board.
So far I've made the following changes (as my RAM's specs indicate) in the BIOS but I'm new to this (first build).
    DDR Voltage 2.75V
    CAS  2.0
    tRCD 3
    tRP   3
    tRAS 6
I left everything else at it's default setting. Are there any other changes I should make?

I'm having an issue with the 1.10 BIOS that is preventing me from manualy setting the timings...The problem I'm having right now is deciding what BIOS to install and where to download it. Perhaps you could help me with that?
With pleasure!  I had the same problem with the v1.10 BIOS, as did another member here.  I flashed BACK to the v1.0 BIOS (make sure to use the command line switched (just run the batch file)) and was able to set timings, and then I flashed directly to the 3.0A BIOS and was able to adjust timings still.  See my old thread here.
For my success (I don't know if any or all of these influenced it, but I'm just happy it works) in flashing I did the following:
Download the 1.0 (original) and 3.0A (latest "official") BIOS images from MSI's support site.
Downloaded the DrDos BIOS flash bootable ISO CD image from bootdisk.com
Used my ISO software to add the BIOS image files onto the ISO image.
    Burned the ISO to CD.
    Booted from the CD
    Flashed to 1.0
Cut Power (flipped PSU switch in back), held down the CMOS reset switch button on the mobo and the power button for 45 seconds.
Powered up, set "Optimized Defaults" and set memory voltage to 2.75v and rebooted.
Set all "normal" BIOS parameters (boot devices, et al).
Windows (x64) loaded with no issues, Everest reported timings appropriately
Did the same procedure for the 3.0A BIOS, with similar success.
You can see my post or click on the link in my sig for detailed memory reports.

Are you running just one set of TWINX2048-3200C2's?
Just one pair.  I fiddled with the CR and the only result was with the single known good DIMM my latency got slightly slower (like a 5ns drop), but still no love with 2 DIMMS.  I think it is just dead.  But this is not my story (at least not in this thread)...this is memticvirus's story.

  • Tips for my K8N Diamond Plus

so although i have been into hardware for awhile now i have never really been a big OC'er.  it was never something i really wanted to do since i work my arse off to get my hardware.  my buddy recently OC'ed his micro-ATX board with his AMD 3700+ from 2.2 to 2.9 on a stock heatsink and he is sitting stable.  this got me thinking and wanting to try out a bit of OC'ing just to see what i am able to push my system until i upgrade from my current CPU to a new 4400+ dual core.  so here is my system and im just looking for tips/a quick walkthrough of what i need to tweak to OC my box and keep it stable.
CPU: AMD 3500+ 939-socket, Newcastle core stock at 2.2ghz
MoBo: MSI K8N Diamond Plus with the 3.09 BIOS
RAM: 2x1gig sticks of PQI Turbo 400mhz/PC3200 timings of 3-4-4-7
    PSU: Sunbeam 550watt SLI certified
    Video Cards: 2x eVGA 7900gt's SLI'ed
that is basicly the big stuff, i have  a X-FI soundcard and all SATA HDD's and stuff but that stuff doesnt really matter too much when it comes to OC'ing.  anyways, im just looking for directions on what i should set my stuff to.  if you could also through in a run down of how HT, the multiplier, my FSB, and the DRAM/FSB settings affect each other i would really appreciate it.
basicly all i would need is something like this for my settings:
    multiplier:
    vcore:
    FSB:
    DRAM/FSB:
    mem timings:
    HT settings:
and anything else i have left out.
again, i would really appreciate the help.

so iostream, please make sure that you get the details correctly.
