K8N Neo 2 Platinium can't detect PCI devices

Hi
I have just bourght a K8N Neo 2 Platinium with Wireless LAN. I installed windows on it with on problems. My problem is that i have a Tv-tuner, and the wireless LAN adapter that's included in the bundle, installed in 2 of the PCI slots. Neither of the I/O devices gets detected. I've tried to update bios, changing slots, reconfiguring bios, nothing help. Also one of the 2 onboard NIC's Is'nt found in windows like my 2 I/O devices.
What can my problem be?

not really the same problem Im afraid.
I believe our problem is with the PCI slot(s) and nothing to do with usb.
I managed to get the NVIDIA network adapter working... turns out just to be an option in intergrated peripherals was turned off...
However this doesnt really help me, I wont be using the onboard network anyway, I need to use the pci fibre card.

driver before installing the ati driver which i did not understand and quit the setup . SYSTEM runs fine with safe
mode or normal windows xp with no driver installed for agp .Also did reinstall the x800xl and reboot same 8
GPUS installed in device manager . uninstall all of them and reboot again same thing in device manager .Another
thing i have done is to run anti virus on line scanning before HDD format it came out clean .Tryied several versions of drivers including 6.9, 7.1. 5.4 . I never seen this
kind of problem before in any forum as far as i read . HELP ME OUT IF ANY ONE CAN . THANKS

Msi k8n neo platinum - The 1394 delete from bios device list

the line where 1394 was is now empty , i try everything i flash the bios and stuff
no luck for me???
it look like the 1394 onboard conroller is dead?

A thread here , from when 1.56 appeared:

Seems to me that the 1.5x series were focused on chipset timings and ram .
Another thing is that i can boot from a usb pen with this one .(never got it to work with others) .
Beta bioses don't come with a changelog , they leak out . So any complete
list of changes is not possible to provide.

JMF-based applet can not detect audio devices on Vista (?)

As many people reported, I encountered the same issue - CaptureDeviceManager.getDeviceList does not detect any audio device on IE/Vista.
Here is my testing environment:
HP XW4600, RealTek HD Audio onboard sound card,
Vista SP1 (Business, Home Premium, and Vista64)
JRE1.5.0_16, JMF2.1.1e
A recording Applet runs in IE7 (which works fine on XP and its Java application version always works fine on Vista)
I have tried a number of things without success:
1)Use different audio formats as the input parameter for getDeviceList
2)Try CaptureDeviceManager.getDevice(new String("DirectSoundCapture"))
3)CaptureDeviceInfo info = new CaptureDeviceInfo(com.sun.media.protocol.dsound.DataSource.NAME,new MediaLocator("dsound://"),null);
4) Vector devices = (Vector) CaptureDeviceManager.getDeviceList(null).clone();
5)Uncheck UAC(Vista User Access Control)
6)Set IE settings least restrictive
7)Try signed or unsigned recording Applet
8)Pack the recording Applet to a jar and deploy to JRE\lib\ext
9)Run JMFInit and copy the files in JMF\Lib to System32 folder
On a few occasions, audio devices can be detected. For examples,
10)Upgrading an HP XW4200 (XP machine with AC�97 codecs driver) to Vista,
11)1/5 chance on the machines with both Sun JRE and MS Java SDK installed.
12)Trying Item # 9. it worked once on one machine, but after rebuilding the machine, the same trick does not play.
I am wondering if there is a way to let JMF-based applets detect audio devices on Vista or this is an inherent problem with JMF, IE and Vista.
I would appreciate it very much if you�d kindly offer any help and suggestions.

I would appreciate it very much if you'd kindly offer any help and suggestions. >I suspect the basic problem here, is the installer that defaults to preventing the applet access to record sound (I am guessing that would 'spill over' into web-cam permissions). A quick test of that is to try the same code as an application.
If the application works, one possible fix is to launch the application using webstart. Webstart will work from a web page, and offers many other advantages over a standard applet.

Ovi Suite can't detect my device

I have to connect my C6 to Ovi Suite but why is it that Ovi can't detect it? I connected my phone by the use of both USB and Bluetooth, and both won't work. Help please :-( Thanks!

I had this issue as well, but I performed a repair of Nokia Connectivity cable driver and then it started working fine.
1. Disconnect your phone from PC if connected.
2 .Open Control Panel and go to ‘Programs and Features’
3. From the list of available programs, choose ‘Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver’
4. Click on the ‘Change’ button on top toolbar.
5. In the setup dialog box that pops up next, choose ‘Repair’ and select ok. Wait for setup to complete.
6. Restart the computer if prompted.
7. Now connect your phone to the PC. Driver installation should complete and Ovi suite (hopefully) should detect your mobile properly now.

Can't detect boot device after factory format to new HDD

First off, I have an HP Pavilion G6 that I purchased in December 2012. Yesterday I decided to get a new HDD to upgrade it and start fresh. It's a 1TB SSD+HDD hybrid by Seagate. It installed without a hitch, and I used my HP recovery CDs to do a factory format of the disk.
It finishes, reboots, but instead of rebooting to the HP Windows 8 setup screens, it goes to what looks like Windows 8 safe mode with a box containing the date, time, and it says something along the lines of "HP diagnostics driver installation" with an OK. Clicking that or not makes it disappear, and there's a command prompt bar at the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
The screen changes to an HP screen that begins to install drivers. It finishes, and reboots to a black screen that says "no boot device detected, please install OS."
I ran a check of the drive and it's fine. I swapped my regular drive back in, and it loaded up fine. In fact that's what I'm using right now to type this.
What could be the problem here? The boot order was never changed in the BIOs. If it were the connector failing I doubt it would load the drive that's always been in the computer. Loading up the newly formatted drive in an external enclosure shows that Windows 8 is indeed on it, but on a 93GB partition even though the drive is 1TB.
I'm at a total dead end here and no one seems to know what to do!

Rescan - Can't Detect Apple Device

I connected everything and during the installation process, everything worked fine and connected to the internet automatically. Except I accidentally hit the re-start apple device. Now I when i hit rescan, I can't even detect an apple device and can't connect to a network.
What should I do?

If you are completely unable to re-connect, push and hold in the reset button on the back until the indicator light starts to flash yellow rapidly (you may need to use a toothpick as it's recessed inside a small hole on the back). This will do a factory reset and you can set it up again from there.

BIOS can't detect boot device

Hi, I recently just put together a pc with the following specs:
motherboard: MSI P43 neo3
CPU: Core 2 duo E8400 (3.0ghz)
ram: 4gb DDRII-800
graphics card: nvidia 9800gt
power supply: 500W
HDD: IDE master (250gb)
the problem is that the bios just doesn't detect any IDE device.. i'm no computer expert.. so any suggestions?

the hdd brand is seagate
the jumper setting is set to master and connected to the master side of the IDE cable (only 1 IDE slot on motherboard).. so far i'm just trying to get it to detect the hdd so haven't connected the cd-rom yet
im pretty sure the IDE connector is connected properly and it does have power. i have tested the hdd on another computer and it detects it fine.. so im confused as hell :P

DAQmx System -- DevNames doesn't detect PCI-5105

Hi All,
I am using the DAQmx System/DevNames property node to pull out all of the current hardware connected to the system and dynamically assigning device names to the s/w measurements/controls. This property node has worked fine up until now - when I then added a PCI-5105 (digitizer).
I understand that this uses the IVI niSCOPE instrument driver when writing the Labview code and possibly this has something to do with the problem but my understanding was that if Measurement & Automation explorer shows the device and name under the Devices and Interfaces/NI-DAQmx Devices sub-directory then this property node should pick it up. (i.e NI PCI-6255: "Dev1" or NI PCI-5105: "Dev3 etc...)
Is there a way where I can automatically detect its device name? Or is the problem because its using IVI and requires an IVI class to be defined?
Would be pleased for some advise!!

Hi Barkusmaximus,
You will indeed need to use the NI Scope api to detect the devices connected to your system. The VI's under NI Scope>Utility functions>ModInst will detect and display the device details. See the attached VI for an example.

250GB harddisk work in MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum

Hi!
I have a pair of WD 250GB SATA2 16MB cache harddisks (WD2500KS).
Currently they don't work in my Asus A8N-SLI DLX (BIOS messes up LBA and CHS setting with them)
(smaller 120 and 160 GB hdds work flawlessly in that mobo)
So i am considering to switch to MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum.
can anyone confirm these babies would work in that mobo?
Are there any known issues with higher capacity harddisks on MSI nforce 4 boards ?
also i hear that the chipset fan is very noisy. Is that true?
The other option would be the Abit A8N Ultra which has the heatpipe design but i am not so comfortable with Abit, since there are too mayn rumors about them.
Any ideas?

Shutdown problems with K8N Neo

I'm having problems shutting down Windows XP with my K8N Neo.
I can reboot without a problem but when I shut down, windows will lock up after exiting the user's session. Then I have to force a power off by holding down the power button.
It's not a big deal but it's annoying.
I believe it has something to do with nVidia's IDE drivers but I'm not sure.
I'm using the latest official nVidia Unified drivers (4.26)
Also using the 1.42 BIOS.
Has anyone else experience this or know how to fix it?

Yeah I experience exactly the same problems. Will shut down OK when no or limited programs have been run, but after using the computer for a while particulaly after browsing the internet, Windows XP shutdown will hang.
I've read one link about possible solutions and centre around the ACPI driver set up etc. (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=2000.0). My computer is shown as ACPI but I do not have the APM tab in my power options - maybe this is the cause. The other solution is to enable the NT APM/Legacy device but every time I try I get the yellow exclamination mark next to the device (even after rebooting) to show that it has not be intialised properly.

The operating system can not detect my wireless device!

I am using windows server 2008 for the operating system and lenovo 3000 G430 for the laptop. but the operating system can not detect wireless device, on devices manager always show the drivers for this device are not installed! i tired for find and search the right driver. anyone have same problem with me and have solving this problem? or at least has same equation the operating system and the laptop series.

How to detect a device is Jail broken or not.

      I am designing an enterprise application which should not run on Jail break devices.
So how can i detect the device is Jail break or not through programatically.
     I have gone through some sites, i found some information like by checking the iOS native applications/ Checking Cydia app present on decvice..
But is there any solution which can work on all the Jail break devices.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Is it possible to connect the Appstore on Jail break devices. If it is not then we can put a check on it. Please clarify on this.

I had a similar problem with a 945p neo platinum board. Anything I plug into any PCI slot didn't detect. I solved the problem by flashing to the latest BIOS for the board. Now everything seems to be working fine.
Maybe that might work for you?
